The fact is, none of this will matter. These two will waste time and money while McCain wins bigtime. Especially if there is an emergency declared after another terror attack, even better cos we can cancel the elections and Bush can rule for life, liberals in the camps, life would be sweet.

People tend to have the TV on as a backwash to the other stuff they’re doing so they’re only half paying attention to anything. The stupidity of the story (and most other broadcast political reporting) probably doen’t register enough for them to get angry, but at the same time the tone of the story will register with them as ‘something I’ve heard’ when they’re making real choices and decisions. This type of garbage reporting is just incredibly subversive.

(The actual quote was something along the lines of “I’m better than Hillary or McCain, and any of us would be better than Bush.”) Does someone have a link to where Hillary said McCain would be better than Obama? Or did I just hallucinate that?

Dan, the comment by Hillary I have seen invoked – and the only thing I remember that would match your statement – was her comment that she and McCain had passed the “commander-in-chief” test, implying by omission that Obama had not.
