Disturbance in the WingNut Forces
NewsMax writes:
Kerry was on the phone to Clinton weekly, Vanity Fair magazine reported recently – securing his commitment to campaign this year in states where he could make the difference and listening carefully to the ex-president’s advice.
NewsMax also offers (in the same article:)
And by picking Bill Clinton’s choice [Edwards,] Kerry offers an olive branch to the Clinton political machine, which has never been close to the aristocratic Kerry.
WorldNetDaily adds:
In his book, Anderson claims Bill and Hillary Clinton do not want John Kerry to win the presidency, as it would hurt Hillary’s chances in 2008.
NewsMax:
Reportedly, Clinton has argued that with Edwards in the No. 2 spot, the Democrats may have a lock on the White House until 2020.
Grover Norquist argues:
The biggest loser will be Bill Clinton who, if Kerry wins, will no longer be the titular head of the Democrat party, which he is today.
Norquist:
As a result, every significant Democrat who might be president knows that they would be better off if they woke up the day after the election and Kerry lost.
Whatever they’re doing, we think one thing is clear: the Clintons are evil.
That dumb fuck Al Gore should have done the same thing. We probably wouldn’t be in this mess now if he would have.
Kathleen Parker did an exceptionally flaky* column the other day on this subject, making the same assertion that the Clintons wouldn’t want Kerry to win for the same reasons.
This despite all the reports that the Kerrys and Clintons are working together…
*What is it with all these conservative columnists and their penchant for channeling the dead?
Alice laughed. ‘There’s no use trying,’ she said: ‘one CAN’T believe impossible things.’
‘I daresay you haven’t had much practice,’ said the Queen. ‘When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast…’
To defeat the Clinton evil, we have to find a Democratic candidate who will choose a running mate who is neither a friend nor a non-friend of Clinton, who will neither win nor lose the election, and who will neither remain in office nor lose office. It’s sort of like the folktale motif where the villain somehow wins a promise from the gods that he cannot be killed by a man or by a woman, either in daytime or nighttime, inside or outside his home, so they have to find a hermaphrodite to do it at twilight on the porch entrance.
The wheels are coming off the wingnut bus.
Check the latest MSNBC / Princeton Survey Research poll or the WSJ poll.
Yep, the wheels are coming off. There’ll be nothing left to spin soon.
The Right Never Hated Clinton
The OxyMan is back and he’s got an important reminder for all us us…The Right never hated Bill Clinton!
David Brooks is right on in calling it the Noise Machine.
Put ’em all in the same room and they’d just cancel each other out.
dammit!
David Brock! Brock! Brock!
[commence beavis and butthead voice:]
