Jules Crittenden is a truly sad individual. Check out this dandy of a post (via TBizzy). It reads like the fawning profile I wrote of Roger Clemens when I was seven years old:

War Czar

Finding the right general isn’t easy. Just ask Lincoln. I’d suggest retired Marine Gen. John J. “Jack Sheehan, a former top NATO commander, is not the guy, seeing he can’t keep his mouth shut about a White House initiative that hasn’t been announced yet, and also doesn’t get it:

“The very fundamental issue is, they don’t know where the hell they’re going.

Where they are going is “to win.

Eep.

Jules and his other loser pals are a lot like the most pathetic and deluded citizens of Raider Nation. You know who I’m talking about: the poor, gullible chumps who always insist that their team is gonna go ALL. THE. WAY. despite the fact that they have no quarterback and the worst offensive line in the game.

Above: Jules if he were a sports fan.

And by the way, here’s where the administration is actually “going”:

A bomb rocked Iraq’s parliament building in the heavily fortified Green Zone Thursday, killing at least two lawmakers in a stunning security breach in the third month of a U.S.-Iraqi crackdown on violence in the capital, officials said.

At least four other people were wounded in the blast, which shook a cafeteria while several lawmakers were eating lunch, initial media reports said.

Mohammed Awad, a member of the Sunni National Dialogue Front, was killed in the blast, said Saleh al-Mutlaq, the leader of the party, which holds 11 seats in Iraq’s legislature. Another female Sunni lawmaker from the same list was wounded, he said.

This is still more evidence that The Surge is Working, of course.

Calm down! Here‘s VP Vader to soothe your concerns:

The level of activity that we see today from a military standpoint, I think, will clearly decline. I think they’re in the last throes, if you will, of the insurgency.

Of course, he did say this almost two years ago. But, it remains as true today as it was then.

The best measure of the surge success is that rugs, drills, and beheading instruments are selling like hotcakes.

Our country is being run by Al Davis.
*shudders*

War Czar? Someone to be in charge, someone to decide what the strategic priorities and plans should be. What a great idea! If only our Founding Fathers had had the foresight to think that such a job was necessary the could have made provision for it in the Constitution.

Oh, wait….

Article II, Section 2 says “The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States”

That means it’s you George, it’s one of the things that goes with being “The Decider”.

War Czar – awesome! That doesn’t have Death of the Republic written all over it. Of course we all welcomed the coup to remove Bush the Incompetent at the time, but little did we know the leaders of the junta would turn out to be…

Detroit gives Oakland some serious competition for Worst OLine.

Don’t you get it? This Green Zone attack isn’t evidence that the surge is not working, it’s evidence that Congress’ attempts to impose a timeline has emboldened our enemies!

Your argument would be a lot more persuasive if you a) weren’t a Red Sox fan and b) hadn’t recently posted about a wildly overhyped pitcher who is now 1-1 on the season in a manner more akin to a Penthouse Forum letter writer than a sane sports fan.

Really, a Red Sox fan dissing Raiders fans for being gullible and delusional has just killed irony stone dead.

Mr. Raider Guy is sure packing some heat down there, if you know what I mean, and I think you do.

“100 years from now, football historians will finally recognize the genius and awesome skills of the 2006 Raiders, and elect them to the Hall of Fame en masse.”
