A Glowing Endorsement From Tom DeLay
by Mark Noonan :: September 24, 2006 10:21 PMI’m excited to report that Caucus of Corruption has received its first endorsement! Our first endorsement comes from Rep. Tom DeLay, a great man and politician who found himself the number one target of Democrats in their phony ethics war.
The Manuscript Has Been Delivered
by Matt Margolis :: November 12, 2006 11:28 PM
Well folks, I have just sent the manuscript for Caucus of Corruption to our publisher, World Ahead Publishing. After a long week of dotting all the i’s and crossing all the t’s, we’re finally finished.Cheers!
Except there would seem to be some trouble with fact-checking or another such trivial concern.
Guys, just as an FYI, there are many ways to source material, although the following generally doesn’t wash: “Oh yeah, it’s totally true about Pelosi and the seven Iranian trapeze artists. Just check Wikipedia. …Uh, give me 15 minutes.”
I think someone is jealous that he and a certain person who’s name rhymes with “Sad Bar” don’t have a book deal of their own.
Those guys are ugly.
If Tom Delay was caught up in a “phony ethics war,” have the authors of Caucus of Corruption just called themselves phonies?
That’s just sad.
It’s like getting an endorsement on your diet book from that lady who played the mother in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?
I hope this book mentions that Rahm Emanuel, the architect of the Democrat’s “victory” in 2006 is directly linked to extreme leftist Michael Moore.
Michael Moore’s agent is Ari Emanuel.
The links between the extreme left and the bigwigs behind the 2006 Democrat “victory” are abundant.
Extreme left puppets like Cindy Sheehan are also going to get a lot of favors from their extreme left allies like Murtha, Clyburn, and Pelosi.
Extreme left puppets like Cindy Sheehan are also going to get a lot of favors from their extreme left allies like Murtha, Clyburn, and Pelosi.
Reckon Ms. Sheehan will get her son back? Is it possible the Extremist Left can raise the dead?
They share a book agent?
You mean like Tommy Franks and… O.J. Simpson?
That explains a lot about Iraq policy, as well as who might have taught O.J. a thing or two about close combat skills.
Hey Gary? You’re posting on a site where “Extreme Left” is considered a compliment, and something we not only deeply approve of, but try to encourage. That is to say, the descriptive “Extreme Left” does not provoke the feelings of quaking fear and uncontrollable rage it might in another place on the interb00bz. In fact, there are a number of us who would not be willing to classify Michael Moore as a representative of the Extreme Left. And Cindy Sheehan, for all I know, is against the iraq war (like 70% of Americans – Hey, can an overwhelming majority be considered extreme?) but may well not hold any other left-leaning political views. Do you know her position on health care, education or welfare? Neither do I. But anyway, nice try, big guy…
mikey
So now we have shoelimpy as well as annieperson spending all day waiting for Gavin to post something so they can jump in first in the comments? All in all, I don’t think this is going well.
Gary? Pass it up the chain Ari Emanuel also represents Sacha Baron Cohen, so you can drop that attempt to claim Cohen as a conservative.
that was a pretty sad rant, Gary. I expect more from you!!
You can’t just list names of people who scare you. try to throw some verbs in there. C’mon, I know you’ve got it in you!
I guess you aren’t getting the faxes in Mexico as easy as you used to up here in the US.
and, um, so these guys “wrote” a “book” in about two months….
Why do I have the sinking feeling that it isn’t going to be any good?
The boogie man of the right is a satirical film-maker who made a documentary film three years ago.
Apparently, acting in a lawful capacity such as providing artists’ representation for such a film-maker is a “link”. I’m shocked, deeply shocked, that in today’s America, documentary filmmakers are allowed to have agents who have brothers.
“Extreme left puppets like Cindy Sheehan are also going to get a lot of favors from their extreme left allies like Murtha, Clyburn, and Pelosi. ”
Gee, you don’t suppose Pelosi will make Cindy a committee chair or something?
Oh, wait…
“so you can drop that attempt to claim Cohen as a conservative. ”
You’re kidding right? Did someone actually do this?
Of course, someone was stupid enough to take Colbert at face value, IIRC.
I think their publisher has higher priorities this Christmas season:
http://www.worldaheadpublishing.com/titles/ninthcircuit.php
Someone posted this link here several threads ago, comment number 9 has the money shot claiming to have heard Cohen is a conservative. I figure Gary can pass the word along to his associates in the film festival division.
Now if any knows corrption and how to lie and cover it up, Tom DeLay’s your man.
Having his endorsement is a sure sign this is all BS.
Kathleen, that sinking feeling may have something to do with Margolis’ inability to write three words without a grammatical error: “I am please to announce . . .”
Yeah, I’m putting that book right at the top of my Christmas wish list.
Kathleen, that sinking feeling may have something to do with Margolis’ inability to write three words without a grammatical error: “I am please to announce . . .
that is so awesome. I totally missed it.
and, um, so these guys “wrote a “book in about two months….
To be fair, Glenn Greenwald put out “How Would A Patriot Act?” in considerably less time than that.
OTOH, Glenn had over a decade of experience as a practicing First Amendment lawyer, and these guys are…well…these guys.
Also, GG drew much of the book from his articles and posts. His daily posts are factual, reasoned and in depth reviews, which would translate quite well to a book.
So the book was actually written over more than a year, and he describes it that way.
I just wish as a bonus for pre-orders, he had included a ‘greates hits’ of his commenters, including the wisdom of Gary Ruppert, Jose Chung, and Goldstein.
These guys, it’s just gonna be a compendium of daily RNC talking points, wth lots of margin. Out of order. With cheetos stains. And at least two of the pages will be upside down.
Captain Goto admits the shocking truth!!!1!: Us moonbats are prejudiced against illiterate people writing books. Next thing Rush knows, we’ll be demanding a Preznident who came name all three branches of govmint!1!!!
I had no idea this could make Michael Moore fatter…
but away he goes.
That’s easy!
1. The executatious
2. The legislacutorial
and . . . um . . . three?>/i>
You sure?
Our first endorsement comes from Rep. Tom DeLay, a great man and politician who found himself the number one target of Democrats in their phony ethics war.
Yes, it was so phony that DeLay decided not to run for re-election. Hmm, wonder why that was?
Oopsie-daisy! Did I bust the internets?
tag closed now?
Some book deal. The “publisher” has only 13 titles on their list, including one by the Founder and Chairman. Retail distribution is through some 3rd party company (a whopping 5-year old firm), Amazon, and B&N Online. A small “vanity” type publisher in operation for 2 years with severely limited distribution. I’d love to see the “contract” they offer. Speaking as someone with over 20 years’ experience in real publishing, maybe these boys shouldn’t get too excited.
maybe these boys shouldn’t get too excited.
Too late. They’re already really, really excited. You can tell because they both said so. And they used exclamation marks and everything. I can totally picture Noonan doodling “Mrs. Mark DeLay” all over the front of his spiral notebook.
Remember the co-writer of this “book” is Mark Noonan, who declared a couple months ago that science was dead.
Damn. You used to have to have a license to use exclamation points, and even then you were only allowed three per book, not more than one per page. back in my day, we didn’t even have exclamation points, and we liked it! Standards have slipped.

Probably some right-wing nut will buy three millions copies of the book to push it up the bestseller lists (Richard Mellon Scaife?) then end up using them as firewood when he can’t give them away.
Call it a hunch, but I’d bet that it’ll sell best (if it sells at all) to those “conservative” types who can’t actually read.
Since Matt Margolis is one of the brilliant political operatives responsible for the success of the GOP in Massachusetts recently where they lost the Gubernatorial office and GOP ranks in the Massachusetts Senate drop to just five of 40 seats. Republicans also lost seats in the House, where they held 19 of 160 seats.
And he writes “Blogs for Bush”. How’s that endorsement working out?
Yeah…I’m really interested in his insight. May his success continue.
Here I thought I found a new blog, maybe some new friends, after pissing my pants at Gavin’s Assrocket post.
Then I see no other than Gary Fucking Ruppert in comments.
You used to have to have a license to use exclamation points, and even then you were only allowed three per book, not more than one per page. back in my day, we didn’t even have exclamation points, and we liked it! Standards have slipped.
Remember how every single sentence in your comic books used to end in an exclamation point, theoretically because the early comix printers were afraid periods wouldn’t print well?
I’ve always believed that the Wingtard Wurlitzer and its devoted buyers started their exclamation addiction in imitation of the media format with which they are most comfortable.
As Jack Kirby always knew, the more exclamation points used, the more IMPORTANT!!!!! the information being conveyed.
Then I see no other than Gary Fucking Ruppert in comments.
That’s not a bug, that’s a feature. Gary’s kind of a pet around here. Stick around. We like to poke him with sticks and watch him yelp.
I remember when only dirty smelly home made granola and organic brewers yeast eating pompous unrecognized vanguards of the peoples liberation and enlightenment would write these dreamy projections of how the world is because I say so.
The right is the new ultra plus far left, like Albanian left.
Proof that God has a sense of humour.
This book is certainly worthy of an OJ Simpson endorsement. I wonder if it could be arranged.
It’s been a while since I have diagramed a sentence
Did he just say he came money? Why would you waste your time trying to write books? Or a book. Or a potential book with enough words and a cover, even. Speaking of which, what’s with the caricature of the person of color with the huge hair and bug eyes? I had no idea that two people otherwise incapable of writing a complete sentence could engage in actual open racist imagery. Or is it the dumb luck that happens when you hang out with enough wingnuts. “Hey guys, this dude likes to draw ‘cartoons’ for free.” Eventually you will successfully be able to hate by association? In a closely related story, I used to see Michael Ramirez out at bars drawing on cocktail napkins by himself as a way to meet women. “Care to see my Pulitzer?”
Hey, Bradrocket! If you’re around, check out espn.com. Seems the giants are talking to Manny and Loretta. We’re in yer dugout hiring yer d00ds…

I hope this book mentions that Rahm Emanuel, the architect of the Democrat’s “victory in 2006 is directly linked to extreme leftist Michael Moore.
Michael Moore’s agent is Ari Emanuel.
Ari Emanuel is the real-life model for the fictional character Ari Gold on Entourage. And Ari Gold represents Vincent Chase, whose brother is Johnny Drama…
If the Giants lose Bonds, i can finally go to a game.
Those guys with their book, it is like they were live blogging a bowel movement. Al…most….done….stay…on target………PLOOOP….Ah…time to publish!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!@!@!
Bonds is outta here, Pinko. By the way, very lucid post in the, er, other thread. I’ll take it under consideration…
mikey
Lucidity is lost on some around here, PP.
Tilting against windmills, and all. repetitive, annoying, profane and childish windmills….
lGG drew much of the book from his articles and posts. His daily posts are factual, reasoned and in depth reviews, which would translate quite well to a book.
Man, Glenn Greenwald’s shopping lists are probably well-reseaoned, meticulously researched, and littered with supporting coupons. It would also be a more interesting read than Culture of Corruption, and less likely to wind up in the Fiction section of the local library. jkkkk
Ahem. Geshundteit…
“annoying, profane and childish windmills…. ”
Oh, Christ. who let the windmills in again?
1. Write awful book for vanity press
2. ???
3. Profit!
back in my day, we didn’t even have exclamation points
How that takes me back. The good old days, when the only way to emphasise a sentence was to write IO at the end.
I don’t know how the Spanish coped. I guess they also had to write OI at the front.
Wait, what’s wrong with getting funky to Coheed & Cambria?
The guy on the left uses a Mac… I thougth Mac users were SMART? WTF?
Limbaugh is a Mac-head too. The rest of us are chagrined.
The Fact Is that Limbaugh’s offered to shill Apple stuff on his show….
…but Jobs turned him down.
There’s also evil liberals who say the Cheeto Brigade boyz are hooked on exclamation points because they’re happy to find something that will always stand upright and strong. But I was going to give another low-minded SN poster first crack at that joke. Just me, I guess…
Thank GOD it won’t be required reading.
The book will no doubt rest on the shelves of the idiot Christians I know next to Unfit for Command and Godless.
Why doesn’t Mark Noonin fix his profile where he talks about “being too old to enlist” so wait 36 is too old? I’ve heard stories of people in that age range who enlisted. Surely if they’re accepting dropouts and drug addicts they’d most defitely hire fiction writers like Noonie
This is a joke right? The Corrupt Left? I think you don’t know your Extreeme Right From your Extreeme Left when it comes to CORRUPTION. It was the so called Left that WON the Nov. 7th Mid-Term Election. Despite the corrupt usage of the Diebold voting machines. Clare Voiant is not something you two could be accused of, right? I think your minor detail of “fact checking” will be the problem, with finishing your book. Good luck with that. Too bad you couldn’t have gotten Charles Manson to endorse you book as well? Well come to think of it… you kinda did, huh? Tom Delay, an excellent choice, boys. Too bad you couldn’t have gotten George W. himself, now there’s a sterling example of clean Government. A sure fire hit it would be then. Oh and who’s checking your facts for you?…The framers of Water-Gate?
42 now. Just like being “The Answer,” it is now the cut-off age for enlisting in the military. Good news, Noonsie-babee! You’re not too old after all.
Ummm… Bob, imagine yourself as a soldier in Iraq. Now imagine the guy watching your back is Mark Noonan.
My greatest concern over the calling out of the cowards is that they’ll step up, the damage they’d do to the armed forces would likely be irrepairable.
I’ve heard the fiction market’s pretty hot. Writers like me have two choices: write fiction or write for Regnery Books.
Basically the same thing.
Thank the Great Cat! My brain still can automatically translate Wingnutese! I read “World Ahead Publishing” as “World Airhead Publishing”. Which, given the circumstances, I think is highly appropriate.
TC you have killed again– you offered a real fact starting with “the fact is…”
The fact is that I think you guys and gals are great.
I hope that it is soft and absorbent.
Hell, with desktop publishing and a political agenda anything can be printed. Bid deal. The differences between a hack job like this and Bob Woodward’s book are credibility and sources. That a group is willing to waste money on garbage is nothing new to the Republican party. Remember all those videos and stuff of how many people Clinton killed?
You want to know what pisses them off more than anything else in this world? The American people would take Clinton over Bush hands down!!!! President Bush is going down in the real history books as one of our most inept Presidents ever.
Let me be clear on one thing! If there is evidence of corruption by a Democrat, I want that person removed and prosecuted!!!! Why? Because he is supposed to represent MY VALUES. If he is corrupt, then get him out of there.
Republicans? Well, their elected officals DO reflect their values… “He ain’t corrupt! It is a conspiracy!” They would rather keep a corrupt offical and blame the people who caught him, as long as he kept their numbers in office. Pathetic for the supposedly “Moral Party”.
You’re kidding right?
You’ve GOT to be kidding.
That makes about as much sense as Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld endorsing a book on pacifism.
these are the kind of people that are ruining america. it makes me sick.

watch fahrenheit 9/11 – every day that passes proves that film more and more correct – michael moore is right and bush is wrong
What’s funny is if you go to their page promoting the book, they’ve obviously edited out the unflattering posts as they had every friend they could find leave posts on Sept 4th, strangely between 9 and 10 am, Sept. 5th, 8th and 26th then Oct 7th…must have been slim pickings of favorable posts between then…
Truely bodes well for these to think-tank welfare recipients

This thread was posted by Gavin M, which, IIRC, is not pronounced in a manner that rhymes with “Sad Bar.” But thanks for playing!
Oh, and did you ever give Annie her credit cards back?
How thick will this book be? I need something to put under the leg of my table to level it.
yes…ethics war…fuck ethics right? wait…which party ran its 2000 presidential campaign based around ethics and morals?
Me am glad Jack Murtha’s leftist past am finally revealed.
Hello!
although these men are truly sad, and quite clearly derranged, they have a right to express their delusions in any means they wish, so long as they do not cause direct and real harm.
as a resident of texas, and texas’ 22nd congressional district–both the original legally-drawn district, and the ILLEGALLY REDRAWN district– (delay’s old turf–and i use that term in the gang-land sense), i can tell you–and those loser freaks–honestly: TOM DELAY IS A CRIMINAL. he was not the object of any wrong-doing, or any campaign of interference. HE IS A CRIMINAL. he was indicted because HE IS A CRIMINAL.
and by the way, HE IS A CRIMINAL.
