Never Marry A Cambridge, MA Shrink And Go To A Tea Party Event
Friday, February 12, 2010

TPM uses a low form of journalism by reporting that an obviously disturbed individual also ran across the Tea Party movement. Draw your own conclusions (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

The Massachusetts man charged this week with stockpiling weapons after saying he feared an imminent “Armageddon” appears to have been active in the Tea Party movement, and saw Sarah Palin, who he said is on a “righteous ‘Mission from God,'” as the only figure capable of averting the destruction of society.

I don’t know, maybe his being married to a Cambridge, MA shrink was to blame. That’s probably enough to drive anyone nuts. Seriously, if you want to use that type of foolish linkage in an attempt to drive people to conclusions, then who the individual spent more of his time with should be even more responsible for his behavior.

Well, you know, adulthood means an end to childish excuses. That is, when called to account for yourself, you can just go NO, BLAME IS ON YOU. HA! HA! HA! and they can say wait a second, how can you just stand there and AHA! SO THE BLAME VICTIM IS ME! you can say, making them jump around and shout reasonings at you, and wave their hands in HAR! HAR! THAT MAN OVER THERE IS MAKING ME FIX YOUR BACKWARD TALK! the, uh, air, and finally GO AWAY BEFORE YOU ATTACK YOU WITH MY FISTS, UNFAIRLY TO ME! walk away, um, purse-lipped and squinting.

See, they’re not allowed to stoop to your level. That’s called the First Amendment. The Second says you can shoot a gun anywhere you want, and if someone tries to stop you, it’s their fault if you shoot anyone.

Update: Alabama Prof Fired 3 Times at Brother, Was Taken At Gunpoint
Saturday, February 13, 2010

Whoa! Just when you thought it couldn’t be more weird. She fired at her brother 3 times, was taken at gunpoint and it was accidental? Hellooo.

She shot her brother, an 18-year-old accomplished violinist, in the chest in 1986, said Paul Frazier, the police chief in Braintree, Mass., where the shooting occurred. Bishop fired at least three shots, hitting her brother once and hitting her bedroom wall before police took her into custody at gunpoint, he said. Frazier said the police chief at the time told officers to release Bishop to her mother before she could be booked. It was logged as an accident.

But Frazier’s account was disputed by former police Chief John Polio, who told The Associated Press he didn’t call officers to tell them to release Bishop. “There’s no cover-up, no missing records,” he said.

Update: More at Gateway Pundit, including a report that it was Bill Delahunt who made the call to release Amy Bishop back in 1986.

Now that it’s confirmed Alabama Prof Amy Bishop was involved in the death of her brother back in 1986, I followed up on a RedState post inquiring about Rep. Bill Delahunt’s (D,MA) role in handling the 1986 shooting death of her brother. Delahunt was the DA who opted to not pursue charges at the time.

In an interview at his home this afternoon, Polio, 87, said, “There was no coverup.” He said he followed all department procedures and then-District Attorney William Delahunt’s office conducted an inquiry and the decision was made not to file charges.

It seems Delahunt was accused of being soft on crime during a run for Congress back in 1996. This new issue could prove even more troubling for Delahunt, assuming he intends to run for…

Heh. Um. Wow.

Notes:

1 Cf. Slavoj Žižek, in one of those postmodern tone poems of his (and the subsequent remix album). Žižek’s shortcomings as a meretricious Continental gasbag can be seen in his reaction to 9/11, where he leads off with the brilliant and razor sharp title, “Welcome to the Desert of the Real,” before unaccountably hiding under the couch by attributing the line blandly to The Matrix.

Seeing this, the reader is led to suppose that he or she would make a better Žižek than the one chartered to practice under that name, for the movie had famously hiked that line from Simulacra by Jean Baudrillard, who at the time of 9/11 was still — and by gosh, Žižek really missed his chance here — riding the methane blasts from the most notorious writings of his career, the three famous Guardian essays collected in 1995 as The Gulf War Did Not Take Place.

Lesson: These Dan Riehl posts did not take place.

“Voodoo journalism: Hours after the earthquake struck Haiti last month, evangelist Pat Robertson, drawing on his traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs, blamed the tragedy on the “pact with the devil” he says the Haitians made in 1791 to secure their independence from France. Now, plate tectonics offers a more scientific explanation, but for saying what he believes, the Rev. Robertson came under unrelenting attack from “journalists,” TV talking heads and others for his “arrogance” and “ignorance.” On Wednesday, The Boston Globe had a front-page report on United Nations outreach to Haiti’s 60,000 priests “to help count the dead, tend to the injured, and soothe the psychologically damaged.” The article detailed how religion promotes respect for elders and ancestors and “a fervent love of family and community,” through animal sacrifice and rituals involving human skulls and voodoo dolls. But but, Barry Obambi once talked to William Ayers !eleventy! Suck on that libs.

“The article detailed how religion promotes respect for elders and ancestors and “a fervent love of family and community,” through animal sacrifice and rituals involving human skulls and voodoo dolls.”

Funny anecdote; voodoo dolls aren’t actually Haitian or African, or from any of the religious traditions that might be called “voodoo.” The tradition is actually British (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poppet); it became associated with voodoo when a few black slaves who’d found out about the myth decided to be smartasses and leave a few dolls lying around to scare the bejeezus out of their owners. The association with black folklore and religion comes from that.

Ha! HTML Mencken has compared himself to Slavoj Žižek before.

No one can lack commonsense as much as an intellectual, especially a leftist one, and perhaps most of all a renowned French professor of sociology. But then again, seeing as I am certifiably insane, and yet have had such a major influence on American policy, perhaps being a leftist with a lack of commonsense is preferable to being a bugfuck crazy and dangerously influential neocon. A-OOOOOOOOH-GAH!!!! BLART! BLART! BLART! THBTTTTTTT!!!!!!!

No, not liberal, “socialist” (distinction without a difference, whut whut?), and we know this because one of her students said so:

Daniel “Crack” Pipes writes: No, not liberal, “socialist” (distinction without a difference, whut whut?), and we know this because one of her students said so

Actually he called her a “socalist”, whatever that is, and further said she was “hot but tries to hide it.”

Woo woo.

The fact is, you liberals are screwed now, and so is the biased media. You were hoping the shooter was a conservative so you could “proof” that we here in the heartland are violnet, but no. It was an eleitist coastal liberal socialist from the hard hard far left who did this. And this fact will be buried everywhere but on FOX where they tell the truth and no left liberal socialist lies. Also, she was a socialist, which is the same thing as Obama and Hitler.

“Yale I mean. He did not learn anything at Yale.”

He learned how to do a line of coke off a hooker’s ass. He got an A in that course.

Howdy homos!!! You idiotic vermin-creeps, go rip up your busts!! How’s Barack Hussein Obama working for you now? Got your health care yet?

The fact is, you liberals are screwed now

You’d think our comments would be more badly speeled

The fact is, socialism will never work here in America. We were founded on the free market system and Christian religion only, and other things that say the founding fathers were atheists or that they like muslims is a bunch of liberal hooey like global warming and “redistributing wealth”, which is socialism and just like Hitler.

Hi communists!!! May a misunderstanding rip up you, you insanely problematic continuation-munchers! How’s Chris Dodd working for you now? Got your carbon tax yet?

I cant tell the difference between the real trolls and the fake trolls anymore, i must be getting soft.

also, zizek is frickin excellent – read last year’s ‘first time as tragedy’ – great stuff.

“The fact is, socialism will never work here in America. We were founded on the free market system and Christian religion only”

That’s fucking funny… because the nations of Europe were Christian (actually and legally, not just in your dreams) for well over 1,000 years before the U.S. ever existed, and they INVENTED free market systems. And yet today, they’re all socialist (or at least what in your mind passes for socialist).

So if you’re saying that the only obstacle to socialism in America is that we’re Christian and capitalist, that actually sounds like good news for the socialists. Their track record in establishing themselves in Christian capitalist countries is excellent.

“I cant tell the difference between the real trolls and the fake trolls anymore, i must be getting soft.”

Nah, that’s legit. Teabagger comments are beyond parody and have been for a while.

As a concern troll, I would just like to express my heartfelt worries about how this unfortunate “murder” could cause negative media attention to be focused on academia. It’s so important that our East Coast elites be able to educate their rich and privileged children in a socialist, Utopian, perhaps even Hitlerian environment that promotes homosexuality and abortions equally, besides wriggling in excrement. Let’s us liberals (I voted for Nader and Dukakis and I married a colored) join together in one vast conspiracy to cover up for this poor woman who undoubtedly only went apeshit because her tenure was denied because some fool student from the Heartland complained about her lengthy Marxist lesbian rants that I wholly support.

Creamed Assassinator of the Gods with Stirred Buttermilk cheeses

Now, for this one, there is little doubt in my mind that if anyone tries making it on their own just by following the recipe, it would flop. I know because that’s what happened to me. However, I went to the person who made these once, and got all the secrets – just for you! Aren’t I generous?

Ingredients:
1 ounce assassinator of the gods
4 cups Appian Exaltation’s Buttermilk cheese, crushed
1 pound Chaource cheese
3 teaspoons loving giant clam tail
6 pinches Iriscukle Rebbecca’s Able Brown sugar
1 pint soy sauce

The first thing you are going to want to do is let the assassinator of the gods soften. I recommend cutting it into large heart-shapes to let it soften quicker. Then you are going to roll the Chaource cheese with the buttermilk cheese out onto a 11 X 4 (roughly) cookie sheet. Bake the dough at 576 Kelvin. YOU MUST LET THIS STOP WIGGLING BEFORE PUTTING ANYTHING ON TOP OF IT. Let it cool for at least 1/2 hour. You can chop up whatever frustrates you while waiting for it to cool and make the assassinator of the gods center. For the center, mix the giant clam and the assassinator of the gods. You can use Bettering’s lemur skull but giant clam is better for this recipe as you want more of a taste. Mix it with a blender until it is very creamy and there are no lumps. Then add in the brown sugar to the assassinator of the gods mix. Spread the assassinator of the gods mix over the cooled Chaource cheese bottom. I recommend putting it in dollups over the dough, so you can spread it around easier. Try not to touch the Chaource cheese bottom as you are spreading it. The reason why the Chaource cheese bottom has to be very cool is because otherwise it will start to lift up as you are spreading the Chaource cheese. Make sure to get all spots where the Chaource cheese shows. After this is done, sprinkle the brown sugar on top. Don’t try cutting it until you have let it cool in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Before putting it in the refrigerator though, run a knife over the outside of the whole thing, so it is easier to get out later. If you try cutting it into slices before it is cool, the Chaource cheese and the assassinator of the gods will run along the knife with you.

Well, “Had to put out out (but good) to get a date for VD,” perhaps the thing is whether the shootings are politically motivated or not.

“We” aren’t contributing anything to tribalism. The pile of cretins who called the shooter a “socialist” because one smartass college student called her that on Rate the Prof. is the “tribal” behavior.

Also, what do you think stuff like: “Sarah Palin, who he said is on a ‘righteous “Mission from God,”'” is? Tribalism, w/ a strong religious component.

“We” aren’t contributing anything to tribalism. The pile of cretins who called the shooter a “socialist” because one smartass college student called her that on Rate the Prof. is the “tribal” behavior.

Oh right. “We aren’t being a tribe, that tribe over there, the one we’re at war with, they’re being the tribe! But we’re not tribal at all!” Oh the hilarity.

Bouffant hates everybody. That’s not tribalism.

Permission at last!!

You can chop up whatever frustrates you

And for the second time: dollOps not UPS.

This is beginning to frustrate me, & it may make people take the recipes as being less than serious.

Bouffant hates everybody. That’s not tribalism.

He’s incoherent, presumably mentally ill, and probably retarded. But he’s also no more or less tribal than most of the regular sadlynaughts. We’re never going to get anywhere with this “Two tribes go to war” paradigm.

“Deus Ex” has been happening and continues on schedule. “Friday” is well underway and looks like a safe investment. “The Matrix” resembles what falls out of my butthole after a night of cheap beer and chili dogs. Everyone knows that.

(Okay, the precise contents of my butthole’s exports are blanketed by security through obscurity, but the rest of it, it’s like counting to ten in English and then in Spanish three times every half hour twice a day. Just that simple.)

1. Hundreds of millions of armed, distrustful malcontents, including hardened veterans: the whole to include incurably ill persons and the suddenly and irreversibly bankrupt.
2. Maybe a million reliable gummint troops au intelligence leaks avec supply lines, including hardened veterans: rallied around a flag of busted-ass propaganda and a paycheck twice a month.
3. Conflict — “hand over your weapons and spread your buttcheeks.”
4. ????
5. The evil minions die in a giant explosion, minor tidying up, Princess Leia hands out medals, etc. The unenlightened are forever restricted to crude melee weapons hammered out of rebar and flattened beer cans. The forces of good last ten whole years before splitting into factions and raining fire on defenseless planets from giant spaceships staffed by black-clad not-at-all-evil minions.
6. Unicorns! Starbursts! Rainbows!

That’s not tribalism.

Individualism. Tribe/Army of One.

Ah. The Troof tell:

He’s incoherent, presumably mentally ill, and probably retarded.

Already shot your “Aspie” load on whomever you were shooting it at?

And for the second time: dollOps not UPS.

You’ve gotta go to the source on that.

No, Chuck & I share a first (“legal”) name, but that’s as far as it goes.

Went to the wrong source for that. (Google.) Thought it might have been a variation among the English-spelling peoples, though I had a tiny suspicion of an AP affectation/fuck-up.

Yes she is a leader of “The Tribe,” The “tribe of stupid”, but not (shudder) retarded: [You can’t use that word unless you are a conservative with “irony”]

Man, Riehl is stupid.

If she were a lesbian (not heterosexual) at a university in Maine (famous for not being part of the Confederacy), the Men in Black would have moved in with their flashy-things hours ago already.

Thank Jesus of Nazareth that it happened in Alabama somewheres, so that it can be allowed to have happened while never having happened with regard to the evening news.
