Our future is at stake!

The future, Conan? Yes, the future:

On June 6th the U.S. Senate will vote on the constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

And what will happen if the homos are not legally relegated to their proper place?

Once homosexual marriage is legal, our religious liberties will be stripped away. Even pro-homosexual marriage advocates agree with that statement.

Well, that’s quite an amazing statement. Let’s see which pro-homosexual marriage advocates have been recruited [he he] in support of this claim:

To understand how this will happen, please take time read Dr. Maggie Gallagher’s rather long and accurate article by clicking here.

Ah, Maggie!

Precisely because support for marriage is public policy, once marriage includes gay couples, groups who oppose gay marriage are likely to be judged in violation of public policy, triggering a host of negative consequences, including the loss of tax-exempt status.

Not the loss of tax-exempt status!

The public is not aware that the Democratic National Committee has given thousands of dollars to homosexual groups to help promote homosexual marriage.

Because if they were, then surely they would make sure Republicans control all three branches of the federal government.

Print it out and give a copy to your pastor!

Got it.

What kind of mushy nonsense is this? If these breeders oppose absolute homosexual dominion, I say round them up and send them all out to the Arctic sea in leaky boats!!!

I love the smell of legislatively-condoned discrimination in the morning.

smells like … victory … over homoislamifacism .. and stuff.

Hey, I work for a place that opposes elder abuse, but here Miserable Failure’s government is foisting Medicare D(eath) on helpless seniors.

Darn, I suppose that means we’re gonna lose our tax-exempt status for writing nasty letters to Congress about it.

I, for one, welcome our new homosexual overlords. I’d like to remind them that as a trusted internet personality, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground butt-plug caves.

If you serve us well, Ex-Fed, you shall be the last to feel the multiple, popping thrusts of our anal beads.

mmm...lemonheads

Will this be an opportunity for Sen. Santorum to say “homo nups” on the Senate floor?
Speaking of Santorum, tell the overlords I refuse to clean that stuff up on the weekends.

I actually went and slogged through some of that piece of crap article. My favorite line:

These experts’ comments make clear that it is not only gay marriage, but also the set of ideas that leads to gay marriage–the insistence on one specific vision of gay rights–that has placed church and state on a collision course.

The country is run by a bunch of Jeebus freaks who have loaded the Supreme Court with Opus Dei Catholics. Church and state are on a lot more than a collision course, sweetie. The church IS the fucking state, fer chrissakes.

It’s a pity the voting on that date… 6/6/6 is supposed to be a joyous day of celebration for everyone.

damn – your views are more hateful than anything the gays could come up with – my vote’s for anything except what you support.

Since when has a position “in violation of public policy”, whatever that’s supposed to mean, had anything to do with tax exempt status? Every church has positions in violation of public policy. It’s explicitly endorsing or campaigning for a candidate that threatens tax exempt status.

The public is not aware that the Democratic National Committee has given thousands of dollars to homosexual groups to help promote homosexual marriage.

Don’t you know what the QUEERS are DOING to OUR SOIL?!? I like you, Stuart. You’re not like the other kids here at the trailer park.

damn – your views are more hateful than anything the gays could come up with

You’re projecting like a megaplex.

Sadly, No’s readership– even more hateful than gays!

YOU are the hateful one, numbnutz.

Readers of Sadly, No are often known to beat senseless those who have caught teh g4y. We are hateful, evil, loathsome creatures … not to mention a little swarthy looking.

/snark

Maggie’s article started out well, then went into a demented landscape of martyrdom that no sane human could return from.

Good thing I brought holy water with me.

I’m going to come clean here. I am dying to know what Gary is going to say about this.

I’ve got an intellectual ironic blog man-crush on Gary.

Ah, Maggie Gallagher, Miss July in the “sexy conservatives” calendar. Right after Miss June, Ann Coulter and before Miss August, Kathryn Jean Lopez.

The fact is people with Teh Gay are responsible for HIV, Welfare,

NINE! Eleven!

our inability to destroy the terrorists, the weak economy,

NINE! Eleven!

Bush’s poll numbers and the collapse of Enron.

NINE! Eleven!

I would not be stunned if

NINE! Eleven!

all Teh Gay people exploded at once as a

NINE! Eleven!

result of some as-yet unknown gay disease.

Gary Ruppert

I used to have a blog-crush on Gary, but it went away. Winking at torture is such a turn-off, a veritable cold shower for the cerebrum.

“6/6/6 is supposed to be a joyous day of celebration for everyone”

Especially Ann Coulter, whose new book “Godless” (which is about Godlessness, apparently) comes out that very day.

I, also, attempted to wade thru ole Maggie’s pasture of evangelical bullshit. I thought my head would explode.

The Catholic Charities of Boston has decided that hard-to-place children are best left in foster care (and we know how wonderful that life can be) than to place even one in a homosexual home. Well, duh! Good, gawd, Maggie… We can’t have those ho-mo-sex-uls raising children! Forget loving, caring homes….they’re teh g4y!

[brain-matter on monitor}

Now look what you’ve done, Maggie.

So if i oppose gay marriage i get tax exempt status? Hmmm, that explains a lot.

The Escher-like logic is making my eye twitch. Not amending the constitution is going to create new rights? And those new rights are going to infringe on the apparent right of religious organizations to import their beliefs into public spheres? I, he, they, d’oh!

Everyone already knows that the AFA is an economy-sized bag of crazy, but something that caught my eye: they call it the most important senate vote this year? I mean, I want to see this country’s heterosexual christian white male heritage preserved as much as the next man, but that seems sorta hyperbolic to me.

My friend Jon and I had a revelation the other day about the American Right. First there was the good news about Gannon, then Mehlman, and now Rove… we realized that the problem with the right is that they’re actually all teh gay and can’t deal with it. It’s the J. Edgar Hoover phenomenon.

Oh my God. This, this is what Congress is going to be arguing about this summer? What a bunch of narrow-minded blithering fools!

I have to go lie down. *Sigh*

I would not be stunned if
NINE! Eleven!
all Teh Gay people exploded at once as a
NINE! Eleven! result of some as-yet unknown gay disease./i>

Nuh-uhhh!!1! We’re all gonna ‘splode ‘cos we’re all “homicide bombers!” Ppphhbbbtttt!

Is there some way, short of actually reading the awful sounding article, to answer Ginger Yellow’s question? I mean, the entire Catholic Church opposes abortion, and contraception, which are legal of course, so every Catholic organization is “in violation of public policy” too, isn’t it?

Wow, can you imagine the tax revenue the churches would generate? (By the way, I DO oppose taxing churches)
