Well then

This is interesting:

Sparkman’s Son: “He Didn’t Do This To Himself”

The Associated Press has tracked down the son of the Bill Sparkman, the Census Bureau worker found dead earlier this month in rural Kentucky. And Josh Sparkman, 19, has no doubt his father was murdered.

“I look at it as disrespectful to be still throwing suicide and accident around,” he said. “He didn’t do this to himself. That’s dishonorable. My dad was a good man. No person on this planet is going to fight cancer like he did, then turn around and kill himself a year or so later.”

See, it’s funny. I thought, based on what Dan Riehl wrote, that the kid would have been happy to see his dad go, since he was apparently a “child predator.”

But no, I guess that everyone that Dan Riehl dislikes is not some sick, inhuman monster.

This still won’t stop Fred Hiatt from hiring him as a regular columnist, of course.

considering that DanRiehl is a sick, inhuman monster, it’s not surprising he sees them everywhere. I’m wondering – is he still pretending his ‘theory’ is all a big joke that us humorless liebrals just can’t deal with?

Given the initial information in the first few days, seemed to me that there was a non-zero chance this guy was a victim of a regular murder, followed by some ham fisted attempts post-mortem to throw off an investigation.

Now, with more details dribbling out, seems as lynchy as lynchings get. Which makes me wonder – why would authorities hold back this sort of info, when in previous modern lynching cases (the James Byrd case, for instance) nobody seemed to hedge any bets on what it was. Are they afraid mobs of crazy DFH civil libertarians will riot in Eastern Kentucky with peaceful sit-in protests or something? It’s not like this unfortunate guy’s death is going to spark massive violent protests or anything (unless they’re afraid of a copy-cat wave, which seems more likely).

Sure, Riehl would fit in riehl good with Gerson, Kristol, and the other hacks.

I’m surprised super-genius Hiatt hasn’t pulled the trigger already.

Dan Riehl should eat a bullet.

Either the police are as Beckish as the fucker who did it or they know something about the nature of the case we don’t and that makes copycats particularly horrifying: the hard right has been pretty open and extreme about anti-Semitism these days, and that’s basically who “they” is for the teabaggers – especially those deep enough into Beck’s astroturf-job to have read the revisionist filth Beck himself has been pushing from an old Bircher loon, which is about as zoggy as it gets.

Shorter Dan Riehl: why would people take this colored fellow and string him up in the public square? It just doesn’t make sense! Perhaps he was just sleeping in a tree with a rope around his neck, and fell out…

As I noted several days ago, it’s obvious this man’s death was not self-inflicted, because the word “Fed” was not written on his chest backwards.

It really stinks that the police can’t even label the death a homicide, or at least give some explanation for why they won’t. I sure hope there turns out to be a good reason for why they’ve taken so long to give the public any information at all.

Police often try to limit the amount of info they release while they’re in the middle of an investigation. Makes it easier to get accurate info when the witnesses aren’t repeating what they’ve heard on TV. So the lack of info doesn’t worry me too much right now. I wish there were more, but I’m willing to wait.

See, it’s funny. I thought, based on what Dan Riehl wrote, that the kid would have been happy to see his dad go, since he was apparently a “child predator.” that there was no kid.

Refitted.

I’m surprised that, since Riehl is a serial child rapist, he’d criticize someone he perceives as one of his own kind.

What Soros on Earth Soros Soros makes you say something like that Soros Soros Soros?

Rooo! Roooooo!?

It’s only conservatives who are dumb enough to not realize that, when writing on yourself while looking in the mirror, you have to reverse it. Also, writing on your own chest is probably a lot easier than writing on your own forehead.

“But no, I guess that everyone that Dan Riehl dislikes is not some sick, inhuman monster.”

“Dislikes” is much too strong.
“Fears may prove libs right/cons wrong” is his actual threshold for nuclear-level character assassination.

Oh Kanga! I’m so sorry! Dan Riehl molested and killed poor Roo!

OK, so how long before Malkin is peeking inside the son’s windows to report on his countertops?

This still won’t stop Fred Hiatt from hiring him as a regular columnist, of course.

Fred will consider it a ringing endorsement.

why would authorities hold back this sort of info

My first guess was that they have a suspect but not enough to arrest them on and don’t want to alert them, but that may be wishful thinking. The points raised above about witness statements and potential for copycats are also good.

As I noted several days ago, it’s obvious this man’s death was not self-inflicted, because the word “Fed” was not written on his chest backwards.

Cue a chorus of fucktarded handwriting experts on Free Republic/Redstate, and their boneheaded analysis of his fucking kerning.

I’d like to take a moment of silence in memory of Dan Riehl’s sense of decency. . . . wait, this just in — I am mourning a fictional entity that never was.

Slippy,

It gets better. Today, he claims Sparkman wasn’t hung because he wasn’t found hanging.

He was found on the ground, noose around his neck, feet bent, but he couldn’t possibly have been hanging. He must have been engaged in some bizarre sexplay that got out of hand.

Of course, the fact that he WAS hanging but could have been either cut down or the rope snapped post-mortem, that would never have been possible.

Doesn’t the fact that he was found with his limbs bound tend to negate suicide anyway?

If the first thing you think of when you hear about a man naked, blindfolded, beaten, and dead of asphyxiation is sex play, you might be a Republican.

Seriously, suck fucks.

Doesn’t the fact that he was found with his limbs bound tend to negate suicide anyway?

These are people who believe someone would carve three letters in their chest prior to committing suicide, so no, not according to them.

Actually the word FED was written with a marker, but still.

To be clear, was the word “Fed” carved in his chest? I thought I read it was written with a Sharpie or something. Carved implies “blade”.

BTW, fuck who did this to him with a rusty chainsaw. I’d love to see Obama send down a bunch of “Gene Hackman in Mississippi Burning” type Feds to figure this shit out. Painfully. Nothing good for the Treason Wing of the GOP can come from a big time investigation of this.

Annnd…”hahahaha! Don’t fill out your census you stupid ass crackers. More votes for more Blue States that honor and respect The Constitution that mandates a decadal enumeration, you America and Constitution-hating motherfuckers! I hope you get fined AND not counted, you cracker ass crackers!”.

The End. Also.

My apologies. Initial reports indicated it might have been carved. I hadn’t really been following the updates, except to the extent that we can mock Riehl et al.

From what I’ve read, you’re right, it appears he was asphyxiated, but not actually “hanged”.

As to whether or not he was “hung”–what possible difference would it have made? Shame on you for even wondering!

Of course, the fact that he WAS hanging but could have been either cut down or the rope snapped post-mortem

Or, disturbingly, he was still hanging but his neck had stretched long enough for his feet to touch the ground.

Actor, what I see here is more rampant speculation from the party that thinks they’re all a bunch of fucking experts on everything. Why, if it’s not kerners, it’s noose physics, or Russia. These folks literally know it all. Why they need the rest of society is beyond me.

Maybe we should just let them form their own fucking Utopia.

You mean like a Galt’s Gulch, Slippy?

You mean like a Galt’s Gulch, Slippy?

Yeah. Or like America circa 2001-2009, when the stupidest motherfuckers on the planet were in charge.

‘Cause things were sofa king great.

See, that’s the ridiculous bit of Riehl’s post and his wild defenses thereof.

If the authorities are saying there’s not enough information to speculate, then. don’t. speculate!

Accept the facts, and admit that whatever interpretations one can put on them can be true. Offer alternatives, sure, but here’s the thing: don’t make it out that your assumption is so superior to every other assumption out there.

How hard is this to figure out?

If the authorities are saying there’s not enough information to speculate, then. don’t. speculate!

BUT HE CRIME BLOGS!

They all wanted to join John Galt, but their geographic skills make their understanding of Darwin look brilliant by comparison.

then. don’t. speculate

Wingtards don’t speculate. They know. Because they’re better than everyone else.

Or, disturbingly, he was still hanging but his neck had stretched long enough for his feet to touch the ground.

Or the rope stretched.

BUT HE CRIME BLOGS!

Agreed. What he does to a blog should be a crime.

I heartily endorse hotlinking to Riehl’s spew … as well as screencapping it in the not unlikely event he decides to DELETE FUCKING EVERYTHING once it comes out that Sparkman’s killer is a teabagging afficionado.

It should be hung around his neck (ahem) like the dead albatross it is – today, tomorrow, next week, & for the rest of his miserable life. His “harmless speculation” has maligned a good man’s name & made his relatives suffer additional misery right when they can withstand it the least.

He seems to enjoy attention – so give it to him.

Big Bad Bald Bastard

Man, that motherfucker keeps digging. You’d think he’d just move on, ignoring the fact that he’d maligned the man in the first place.

BBBB, my thoughts exactly! He posted twice more about Sparkman and tried again to make some sick suicide from it. For the sake of Sparkman’s family, I hope they find a solution to the puzzle soon so Riehl can STFU and quit slandering a dead man: one who had more integrity and guts that Riehl would ever dream of.

How can you say that? Sure, there’s no evidence that he isn’t a child rapist, but…

…ohhhhhhh, I see. You’re just joking!!!eins!

The comments for Riehl’s article have been closed.

And the article by John Perry suggesting that the military take over the government with Obama as a figurehead has been removed from the Newsmax website.

Good job, internets!

it’s just as offensive over at the other mccrappy. Mcain seems to think he is some ole style gumshoe reporter going down to find out the real librul conspiracy re the murder. And of course it’s really surprising that a supremacist like stacy finds only salt of the earth christians.

It’s probably already been said but how can a jackass title his post “Was Census Worker Bill Sparkman A Child Predator?” and then claim he wasn’t accusing Sparkman of anything?

Sweet Flipping Geezus.

And now he seems to think HE is the victim.

The fact that the local police aren’t releasing much info makes me think that they are getting a bunch of help/cooperation from the feds on this. Think back maybe 10 years or so and this was kind of the standard way that police handled high-profile cases. Before an illegitimate misAdministration decided that the country had to be continually scared out of its collective wits by hearing about dastardly plots that were only JUST thwarted by the courageous intervention of Glorious Leader Daddy Cheney.

Same with the recent terror-plot arrests. They were… arrests. By law enforcement. No dramatic displays. Not a lot of detail released that could jeopardize prosecution or ongoing investigations. No grandstanding by the Attorney General. No implications that the plotters were supervillains. Just the rule of law being enforced to remove some messed up fools from society before they hurt someone, so law-abiding people can go about their business relatively undisturbed. Not exciting or dramatic, but effective.

Sometimes the tried and true, time proven ways of doing things really are better. Hey, didn’t that used to be a conservative idea??
