Good morning

Eggs and bacon in the pan! Let’s go see if Pajamas Media has magically turned around since yesterday.

For More Traffic/Attention, Shout Here

Tobias S. Buckell

I was chatting with someone the other day about how to grow traffic to your site’s blog.

“It’s easy,” I said, “All you have to do is get involved in a major controversy.”

“What do you mean?”

“Well look, if you want to grow traffic what you need is a good online spat. Look, it works for Ann Coulter. Everytime she calls someone stupid the press is happy to write up reports about how mean and nasty she is, thus getting everyone to talk about her. All you have to do is get pissy about some shit or the other and you’ve got guaranteed attention. Why do you think political blogs can grow their traffic so quickly?”

“Really?”

“Yep,” I added. “And it works in all kinds of other places. Get strident. Get loud. Find an arch enemy.”

Hmm.

Wow — talk about a giant Sadly, No! on that one.

Starting a blogwar to get more traffic?! That’s just immature. Next thing you know, people will be sending attack kitties trying to get more traffic.

Jesus, what a bunch of half wits. I thought they could hold it together for at least a month before their little costly adventure went down in flames, ah well enjoy it while it laasts.

I love how they’re so uncritical about worthless invective like calling people stupid and yet those boobs hardly ever have comments to enable ME to call them stupid.

Hey Pajamas Media…you’re STOOPID.

Sorry, I’ve got a little bile leftover from Pastor Spank’s latest idiocy above.

That was the point of the satirical blog entry post, I take it you didn’t actually read it?

What Yosef means is that starting blogwars is pretty much our core business.

It doesn’t work as well as you’d think!

It’s a feud, it isn’t a feud…

Sadly… Illiterate So in my gently satirical post about how to gain traffic by starting a faux feud, anti-Pajamas Media site ‘Sadly No’ excerpted the opening part of my post, and utterly failed to read the rest of it to…

super-duper to the extreme

Did you know he was born in the Caribbean…

This is awesome! I make fun of S,N! and someone else gets offended because they think I’m talking about them!

Hey, Toby, I take it you didn’t think about jumping into the convo without knowing what was going on. Punk. Our blogjam is kicking your blogjam’s ass!

I guess I didn’t take the original post as satirical due to the comments like:

“Jesus, what a bunch of half wits”

On second look around it was unfair of me to lump ‘Sadly No’ in with comment posters, as I assumed they were posting in the vein of sadly no’s intent, which was to mock (and not gently, given the sheer number of negative posts about anyone associated with PJ Media) anyone featured on PJ’s main page.

If the post wasn’t meant to mock me in mean spirit I apologize. What was the intent of this post, Sadly No?

Here’s a hanky, what’s your hurry?

Hahaha. Toby is better than you. 🙂

Hmm… run-on, check..stilted proto-allusions, check…

Hey Pinko’s right.

Hi Toby, no the post was not being critical of you, but was more self-referential. I think you might have missed the joke.
Not that I know, I have absolutely no connection with the writer. So its just a guess. But I don’t think the intent was to mock you in mean spirit.

😉

Nothing personal, but when I said half-wits, I was referring to the people in charge of pyjama’s media, not necessarily the various bloggers.

Ho ho so contrite in the vein of your intent Timmuh? The mocking in mean spirit is not your bag? That’s mighty nice o you.

So did we do that right? I think they scamper away if you make too many sudden moves…
