The Vice-President arrives on the scene

An American Airlines plane arrived at McGhee Tyson Airport at 3:10 p.m. Saturday with about 130 people from New Orleans.

Vice President Dick Cheney was on the plane, helping patients. He did not grant interviews to reporters Saturday.

“My understanding was that he made this happen, that he actually arranged for this aircraft,” Webb said.

Oh wait, must’ve read that wrong.

Former Vice President Al Gore was on the plane, helping patients. He did not grant interviews to reporters Saturday.

“My understanding was that he made this happen, that he actually arranged for this aircraft,” Webb said.

Oh Captain, my Captain!

Well, you know Cheney is in charge of that shadow government, the one that will take charge if the “real” government fails. And as we all know from Bush, being in charge of a self-sustaining government is hrad work, and not only that, the work itself is hard, real hard.

Cheney cannot bother himself with helping Americans, for he is busy making sure that government remains continuous in the event of terrorism in this country. Since God is not a terra’ist, he cannot be bothered with the “reality-based” community.

Just a guess, but I think we will be hearing news any day now that Vice President Cheney has joined Chief Justice Rhenquist.

Dick Cheney has other priorities. he’s already made money from the situation.

Man. Al’s gained weight. (I’m don’t really blame him- if I had to sit back and watch some moron foul up a job that should have been mine, I’d be eating all the time too.)

Wait, this is the Al Gore who couldn’t get a clear majority of Americans to vote for him because they thought he was ‘boring’ or ‘too clever’? I don’t know how to continue without profanity and pointless insults, so I’ll just shake my head and move on.

Al’s still way hotter than poor Georgie could ever hope to be. I’d endanger a Gore presidency.

You gotta remember, the guy WAS pretty damn boring during the 2000 campaign, when he became a DLC clone. It was only after he lost that he grew a beard, ate some burgers and became cool again.

Has anyone heard anything from the current VP since Katrina hit? Seriously. I’ve seen Bush make his photo-op tour, Condi Rice has been spotted shopping in New York, even Rummy has made an appearance in the news… but not even a word from Cheney’s office, let alone any visibility. Where’s the Dick?

he is buying an estate :
wash post discussed at DU

VP Hallib…er Cheney is s’posed to be going down to N.O. today or tomorrow. Now it’s his turn to distract and divert resources for his photo-op. Hell, what’s more important: saving lives and recovering bodies or providing security for that old, jowly heart-attack waiting to happen?

And so, we get an idea of what a competant president would do, contrasted against the big propoganda effort that Bush is putting on.
