Humorless and clueless

Mithras’ excellent Top 10 List, to which we linked last week, has made a few people upset. Amongst those upset was the crew at The Volokh Conspiracy:

But Mithras’s post was linked to favorably by many others, including Atrios. Let’s consider what Mithras writes about Michelle Malkin [funnies deleted]

That’s the humorless part. Now here comes the clueless:

Eric Muller wonders if Malkin gets “so much attention” from the right, precisely because she’s a nonwhite woman who defends Japanese internment, opposes immigrant rights [not sure exactly what he’s referring to] […] I don’t see anything any more remarkable about Malkin not being overly sympathetic to immigrants (if that’s true) [Emphasis added.]

Hellobonjour, the woman wrote In Defense of Fucking Internment! Wake up and smell the denial of due process!

Isn’t that just like the right wingers, always emphasizing the bad things written about their side. They didn’t mention that Mithras didn’t write anything about Marie Jon’!

It’s touching, really, that Wingnuttia got it’s feelings hurt.

Shorter Wingnuttia: Apparently, this is what passes for discourse amongst those treasonous terrorist-loving commie lefties. When they aren’t marrying gays or defending Islamo-fascism, this is the kind of garbage they spew. Besides, calling Malkin a bigot just proves that the liberals are the real bigots.

I’m hoping for an all out blogosphere war to break out.

It’s that deadly combo once again–willful blindness and 180? projection.

Hee hee. “So THIS is the real face of the so-called ‘tolerant’ left!” They turn to that one a lot.

Gasp! You presume to lecture THE Eugene Volokh on such quaint notions as “due process.” How dare you! He knows more than you ever will about all that legal lawyerin’ stuff…

Sssshhhhh… he’s a professor and he’s testing you!

“I’m hoping for an all out blogosphere war to break out.”

So, are we the East Coast or the West Coast?

And does this mean TBogg has to make a diagram connecting left & right wing bloggers to their ‘rapper identities’?

Critical Masshole

I have not seen that on the Internets (at least the ones I look at) before now. I have been giggling about it all day. Thanks.

Hate Speech from the Democrat Left Heats Up
By Sher Zieve

Under the guise of marching to retain the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the Democrat Left used this opportunity to furiously bash Bush, Republicans, conservatives and any one else who aren?t in lock-step with them. Harry Belafonte, long know for his blasting racist remarks against non-leftist Blacks, was in his finest incendiary form on Saturday in Atlanta. Looking a tad more demonic than human (did you see the exclusive CNS video interview of Belafonte and hear what he said? Scary!), Mr. Belafonte spouted his invectives against the Bush Administration when he said: ?Hitler had a lot of Jews high up in the hierarchy of the Third Reich. Color does not necessarily denote quality, content or value. If a black is a tyrant, he is first and foremost a tyrant. Then, he incidentally is black. Bush is a tyrant and if he gathers around him black tyrants, they all have to be treated as they are being treated.? WHEW! Belafonte?s vilifications do not change; they just become nastier and more inciting-to-riot.

Another ?we hate Bush and Republicans? speaker was Judge Greg Mathis (a ?judge? no less!) who hosts his own TV show. Mathis rallied the faithful angry when he delivered his fiery speech that included: ?It is indeed criminal to steal an election and within two years run up a federal deficit of half-a-trillion dollars, send our young people over to Iraq to die for an unjust war. What they are doing is criminal. They all need to be locked up because they are all criminals and they are all thieves.? Then, trying to impersonate Al Gore, Mathis continued with his we-will-never-forget-2000 tirade: ?The Supreme Court was an accomplice to the biggest election crime in history in 2000. And I call it a crime because indeed that is exactly what it was. They shot and missed when they enslaved, segregated and oppressed our people. They shot and missed when they stole the past two presidential elections. They shot and missed when they denied our right to vote.? Note: Mathis and others (including our ?mainstream media?) continue to conveniently forget that it was the Democrat Party that historically blocked black voters from casting their ballots and it is the Democrat Party that created and fostered the Ku Klux Klan. But, the actual facts cannot be taken into consideration when one is vilifying a false enemy. An additional note is that many Democrat Party leaders, including Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), joined Mathis on stage and wildly applauded his inflammatory speech.

Other black ?leaders? who chimed in were Maxine Waters (D-CA) ?If this march is any indication of our intentions, let the word go forth. We are prepared to do battle?, Jesse Jackson (?The right to vote is not in danger, but we must protect it against discrimination?) and activist Dick Gregory who said of the Bush Administration and Republicans they ?act like thugs is [sic] supposed to do!? Note: As both Republicans and Democrats appear that they will vote for the Voting Rights Act extension, I guess this is all the Democrats have. And, let?s be, at least, a little bit honest for once. President Bush has done more to promote strong, capable and inordinately superior black and other minority leaders than ANY other President in the history of the United States. This, friends, is where the real fury started. How dare a Republican president have the audacity to elevate minorities to some of the highest offices in the country! Why-that will effectively tell the minorities that the Democrat Party and its leftist contingent have been lying to them all along! And of course, they have.

The left has and still does fail to realize that humans are not inherently stupid. Despite its untiring decades-long work to dumb-down the American population via indoctrination in the public school system, the left neglected to realize that somehow the truth will still get through. That?s the reason the Democrat Party is losing so many voters and is, also, the reason that this group is fighting proposed voter picture IDs so vehemently. Instead of being discriminatory-these IDs are anti-discriminatory. They would actually identify the person voting and greatly cut down on voter fraud. What a concept! But, cutting down on voter fraud apparently does not and will not well serve the Democrat Party. Leftist Democrats are screaming it loudly and clearly, with their opposition to the one vehicle that would greatly reduce voter fraud by calling it (as did Jesse Jackson) ?discriminatory?. Another ?if we say it long enough people will believe the lie?, Mr. Jackson?

At last the Democrat Party has been reduced to screaming and yelling hateful rhetoric about problems that existed 40-50 years ago and acting as if they still exist. What they will not say is that those problems-at that time-were begun by the Democrat Party. And it strongly appears that they still are today.

“…it would be the end of the United States as a sovereign nation.”

But Marie, sweetums, who would take over the country?

We’ve missed you, by the way.

Marie, that’s one of the most inspired rants you’ve yet written.

Poor ol’ Marie must be getting gun-shy from all the razzing she’s been getting here about her “writing” abilities. She’s scared to type anything more challenging than control-c, control-p.
C’mon Marie, don’t be chicken. Give us some more of that genuine Marie-Jon’glish. You’re fans is weighting!
