Now, its a pretty weak ding on her part, given that composing and sending an e-mail is a lot quicker (for most folks) than redoing a web page. Kerry’s remarks are perfectly legitimate- the terror attacks were timed to coincide with the G8 meeting. Kerry never said that ending poverty would end terrorism- he said that it was important work and that leaders of the G8 shouldn’t be intimidated by mass-murdering thugs.

Disagreeing with Republican policy on any issue is obviously SPECIAL LIBRUL CODE for “Terrorists, we totally support you and all of your actions.” And John Kerry’s recent reference to “ending poverty” is clearly a shout-out to al-Queda along the lines of “Hey there, anything you need, you got it.”

I hope nobody’s put off by a touch of humor on such a bleak day. I live pretty close to NYC and know people who died in the WTC attack, so another attack on a metropolitan area is affecting me more strongly than I think it might have otherwise. I’ve been teary eyed a lot today, which is very out of character for me, and I’ve been looking for things to help me smile all day long. I’m really grateful for this site and its wonderful humor today because of that.
