Is it that time of the year again?

Regular readers will remember that between August 2004 and April 2005 we moved the editorial offices of Sadly, No! several times in order to avoid detection by “the authorities.” This was in addition to our move to a new ISP in February of last year.

Which means it’s been a long time since we moved anything, and we’re feeling restless. So, to celebrate the new year, we’re going to switch ISPs again! Besides the excitement involved in doing so, the continued popularity of Sadly, ~~BLT~~ No! has forced us to seek a new home with more bandwidth. Sadly, a search for an ISP that would provide more funny did not prove fruitful. Fortunately, we have Gavin and Brad for that.

So, in the coming days S,N! may disappear or, our favorite, you may end up at the old site while DNS propagation is ongoing, which means it won’t look like it’s down except that you’ll be accessing a fake S,N! and then any comments you leave will disappear. Or something.

I’m praying for a return to Snark-on-Black, personally. That was a perfect color scheme — like a pixilated Jolly Roger or something.

But how will I live without my Sadly, No!
At least wait till S.Z. gets over the Martian Death Flu or whatever. Otherwise, I’ll be forced to find other blogs to be really obnoxious in the comments of, and Doghouse will just ban me outright.

And, yeah, maybe you guys could just put up that thing Marie Jon’ claims not to have done, instead of bothering with making a fake page of your own.

I convinced Jesse Taylor to move Pandagon over to Dreamhost a year or so back, so if you haven’t picked a new sitehost I highly recommend them… in fact, if you want to use them send me an e-mail, I can give you a referral ID for a better deal (and I’ll get rewards too).
