Watch out for falling objects

Snicker:

Scotland on Sunday has obtained remarkable details of one of the most memorably bizarre episodes of the Bush presidency: the day he crashed into a Scottish police constable while cycling in the grounds of Gleneagles Hotel. […]

As the President passed the junction at speed he raised his left arm from the handlebars to wave to the police officers present while shouting ‘thanks, you guys, for coming’.

“As he did this he lost control of the cycle, falling to the ground, causing both himself and his bicycle to strike [the officer] on the lower legs. [The officer] fell to the ground, striking his head. The President continued along the ground for approximately five metres, causing himself a number of abrasions. The officers… then assisted both injured parties.” […]

At hospital, a doctor examined the constable and diagnosed damage to his ankle ligaments and issued him with crutches. The cause was officially recorded as: “Hit by moving/falling object.”

Offered, thanks to Blair, without comments.

Falling object: 34%

The cause was officially recorded as: “Hit by moving/falling, vacuous object.”

There, that’s better.

another day another vicotry for the forces of “freance, peance”

and another defeat for both Pooh’s spelling and Pooh’s grammer. Unpossible.

“Blunt force trauma.”

The object of my disaffection, ya dig.

Jeebus. My 10-year-old daughter is already smarter than him; now we find out that her ability to ride no-hands is also above him? To be fair, she does ride sober. As far as I know. (off to check level of Ouzo bottle)

Wa there any mention of the phrase, “Let’s roll”?

“Offered… without comments.” The deuce, you say! I gotcher comment right here!

OK, I don’t really have anything to say. [whimper]

He was hit by Bush’s poll #s?

OK, so Cheney can’t control a shotgun and Bush can’t control a bicycle. But that has nothing to do with their ability to direct the fate of the United States. Keep telling yourself that, and you’ll be able to sleep tonight, if you also have three generous whiskey and sodas, or a bottle of wine or a six-pack of “good” beer.

Feh. By my count, two of our regular commenters are up for best comments in the ’05 Koufax awards. D. Sidhe is up, though the blog associated with the nomination is Bats Left, Throws Right… so evidently, she’s hoarding her good material. Hmph.
The other is teh l4m3, associated with… HERE, though it’s phrased, “Sadly, No!, among other places.” So, it’s a bit iffy.
So, ck-k-kongratulkkkationkks! I-k-k k-k-hop-k-ke you w-k-kin.

Also Yosef, Marq. I promise to lose proudly and with dignity.

I’m more serious over at Doghouse’s place, which is probably inappropriate here, so instead you get my substandard attempts at wit. Plus, you know, I *am* the official blog stalker over there.

I’d kinda like to see Yosef win, because I think Annti might kick the winner’s ass.

If it had been a US officer, how long before he’d have a press conference apologizing to the POTUS for all the inconvenience?

OK, so Cheney can’t control a shotgun and Bush can’t control a bicycle.
That’s just BS librul pantywaste talk, and to prove it, Preznit Bush and Mr. Cheney have arranged a tandem bike ride. Our Commander in chief will be working the pedals while Cheney takes pot shots at low flying pigeons and squirrels from the back seat. Guaranteed fun for all involved.

I’d kinda like to see Yosef win, because I think Annti might kick the winner’s ass.

Well, if that’s the case, consider me a Yosef voter, all the way! Too bad you won’t be able to game the vote, like that shoddy D-Ho/Bérubé thing. Oh, well. We’ll just have to campaign for Yosef. Or against him. Whichever sends more votes his way.

Hendrix > anyone who has ever played a guitar

Yeah, but what about Stuart Cassels?
