One of the most important things to understand about Obama is that he is a sociopath, in the clinical sense. People have caught on to his narcissism, but they do not understand his sociopathy. In a nutshell, he lives to control people, assert power and make people jump. All of the promises he makes are intended to get people to hand over their power and money to him voluntarily.

How come I have not seen anything about Obama at the GOP Retreat on O’Reilly or Hannity tonight? Maybe Obama was so over the top that to comment on this would make him look unstable.
At they very least, he put the teleprompter joke to rest forever.
I would absolutely like to see more of this, and not in a partisan way. I’d like to see the opposition get smarter for the next one, knowing as they do now that if they aren’t, they’ll get a well-deserved ass-kicking. Thoughts?
The Obama administration wishes to Mirandize terrorists and try them as petty criminals, when in fact the appropriate response is to invade their bodies, kill their spirit and convert them to Judeo-Christianity.
Okay, so plucking stuff from the HotAir.com comments is pretty bottom of the barrel, but you’ve got to love HondaV65′s contention that James O’Keefe is ‘a SAINT’ compared to Martin Luther King (!):
Hell … Martin Luther King was a ‘suspected felon’. Bill Ayers, close friend and confidant of ‘The One’ … was, by his own admission – a ‘felon’. Obama nominated a TSA director that violated privacy rights of others. Obama nominated a Treasury Secretary who’s guilty of lying on this tax returns. Nancy Pelosi relies on Charlie Rangel (a suspected TAX CHEAT) to write tax law. Chris Dodd gets sweetheard mortgage deals and undervalues Irish property …
And James O’Keefe is suspected of ‘playing with a phone handset’ and entering a federal building under ‘false pretenses’.
Hell yeah – I’ll cheer O’Keefe on! He’s a SAINT compared to the players on YOUR TEAM.
La moustache du stupide, Joseph Farah, is unhappy about his profile in the L.A. Times.
Of course, actual readers of WND know that no allegation of an Obama foreign birth has ever been made by me or any other reporter in WND. I’m not even sure if any commentator has ever made that claim.
But those on the other side, who would like to see the original documentation of Obama’s birth place revealed, say there are factors that indicate the Kenyan birth document could be real.
Although no other evidence has surfaced placing Barack Obama’s mother in Kenya at the time of the president’s birth, a taped telephone conversation in which his Kenyan step-grandmother purportedly claims he was born in the coastal city of Mombasa has become an Internet hit since its submission as evidence in a lawsuit challenging the president’s eligibility.
What is posted on Obama’s ‘Stop the Smears’ website as well as the FactCheck.org website is the abbreviated short-form ‘certification of live birth’ that could have been issued for a child born overseas, and thus does not prove he was born in Hawaii.
So if you’re keeping score at home, Farah and friends aren’t saying Obama was board born abroad, only that they’re not sure he was born in the United States. We’re not saying Farah is an alcoholic who can’t stop drinking gallons of Zima, we’re just saying he hasn’t been sober for 25 years.
The arrest of BigGovernment.com’s James O’Keefe and three others for an alleged plot to interfere with Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu’s telephone system has raised new questions about the extent of the rot at the heart of Andrew Breitbart’s online media empire.
Breitbart, a former reporter for the Drudge Report, operates popular conservative media sites BigGovernment.com and BigHollywood.com. But with a string of run-ins with the law over the past year, some observers say Breitbart may want to look into a new property: BigLegalProblems.com.
The 25-year-old O’Keefe, who collected a salary from “blog producer” Breitbart’s for-profit media company, the modestly named Breitbart, was arrested by the FBI Monday along with Joseph Basel, Stan Dai and Robert Flanagan, all 24, at Landrieu’s New Orleans office.
For now, Breitbart claims no knowledge of the alleged scheme conducted by O’Keefe and the others. Furthermore, he demands that media and the public “[w]ait until the facts are in.”
But Breitbart could go a long way towards helping us understand “the facts” himself. He could make public all communications between himself and O’Keefe in recent weeks. That he has not done so only raises suspicions that he may have something to hide. We also suggest that he release all financial statements pertaining to his company’s payments to O’Keefe.
But most damning of all for Breitbart is the following, never-before-seen video footage of Breitbart and O’Keefe actively conspiring to commit crimes – which we obtained from courageous 11-year-old investigative reporter who frankly has the kind of courage and ingenuity that is sorely lacking in today’s Mainstream Media:
UPDATE: The partisan media is already alleging that this video was ‘doctored’. We stand by our reporting and furthermore, we predict much egg on your J-school grad faces.
The reason why Reefer Madness was so a-durn funny was that it portrayed all stoners as sadistic murderers and rapists. Of course, anyone who’s ever hung out with potheads before knows that they’re more likely to fall asleep with their head stuck inside a bag of potato chips than they are to hurt anyone.
I think some of our modern conservative friends are starting to see teh ghey in the same way they used to see The Demon Weed. Witness Elaine Donnelly’s assertion that letting gay people serve in the military will inevitably result in torture and prisoner abuse:
Ok, now how are we going to deal with four different sexual groups, say in Special Operations summaries. How’s that going to work? Or are we going to have the kind of military — and he clearly suggests this — he says yes, we have women in the military. We all support women in the military. However, he says that everything has been going on just fine without incident. Umm, what was that Abu Ghraib scandal all about? It started out as misconduct between men and women and then it steadily deteriorated into abuse of prisoners. The common denominator is lack of discipline. Once you break down discipline, good order and discipline and morale, everything that’s required for unit cohesion, you undermine the culture and the strength of the armed forces. This man obviously doesn’t get that.
Me confused.
Shouldn’t the increased likelihood of torture incidents be a reason for these guys to support repealing DADT?
UPDATE: I don’t want to jinx anything, but if Obamee really does succeed in getting DADT repealed, it’ll be the first time in a while where I can say, “So that’s why I voted for you!”
It’s the sensation that is sweeping Germany: Guenther Oettinger, nominated to the position of EU energy commissioner, has a way with the English language. It’s pretty much self-explanatory we think — the German bit that precedes his “English speech” (and is repeated throughout for comic effect), is Oettinger going on about the importance of English and the expectation that everyone be able to understand and speak it. Viel Spaß!
I think Obama should say: ‘My fellow Americans, I have criminally destroyed this country, blah blah blah, let’s torture Muslims and shut down the public schools, blah blah blah, I hereby resign the presidency and surrender myself to the Tea Party Patriots for my hopefully quick execution.’ Surely this would help him politically.
Pretty good SOTU last night. But, see, here’s my problem with Obamee — he only seems to bring his “A” game when his back is to the wall. The dude lacks follow through.
So while it’s nice that viewers last night gave the speech a thumbs up, it won’t matter in six months if unemployment is still at 10% and the U6 is still around 17%.
I’d say one thing the dude has to do is get more involved in the legislative process and not just outsource most of the hard work to Congress. As Karen Tumulty notes, people reeeeeeaaaaaaally hate the way Congress put together health care reform, especially the “free-Medicaid-for-Nebraska” bribe the Dems had to use to get Ben Nelson on board. Obama would have been better served throughout this entire process if he’d stepped in at some point during that deal and said, “Aw hell no. I’m gonna veto that shit.”
(But of course the problem was his team was busy making similar sorts of deals with the pharmaceutical industry.)
At any rate, the speech laid out some good ideas, but unless there’s a real concerted effort to get shit passed — and to get it passed in a way that doesn’t involve bribing countless stakeholders — then it won’t matter a damn.
(One sign that made me optimistic is that Obama seemingly threatened to veto any financial regulations bill that didn’t go far enough in making sure the banksters don’t crash our damn economy again. Dude needs to show some real leadership here and waving the veto pen around is the best way to do it.)
Or F.U.’s to be more precise, as in, that SOTU address was a pretty giant F.U. to the Senate. Me likee. Of course, deeds are more important than words … but words can sometimes inspire deeds.
Anyway, what did you think? I’m happy that health care reform was dragged out from under the bus (give me my unhip references to the cliches of yesterday … WASSUPPP!), as wounded as it still appears to be.
I also liked the part about export objectives, it was very Borat. ‘With right thinking and five-year-plan, we make goal of No. 1 wheat export in all Central Asia! This I pledge you!’
PS Big, big update on O’Keefe-slash-Breitbart story coming tomorrow. With never-before-seen video.
Today David Brooks offers the most dishonest, morally-degenerate column I have read in, maybe, years. Srsly. Brooks is so worried about class-based left populism that he’s willing to concede culturally-reactionary rightwing populism “equally” sucks just so he can give the appearance of even-handedly condemning the supposed excess of all populist movements, whose anger and sincerity scare professional gasbags for whom politics is a game. Then he fakey-fakely positions himself as, at the same time, anti-elitist — more bullshit even-handedness — so he can pretend his take is, yes, sensible, centrist, reasonable, disinterested etc. etc. barf. and not what it actually is: an inky-lubed handjob for the wealthy criminal class.
I could live without insufferable, obscenely over-compensated, newspaper columnists who shill for the very policies which make normal working people’s lot in life that much harder, asking said people to live without any material item, however superficial, empty, crass and wasteful the possession of such items may be.
A new national survey from Public Policy Polling (D) finds an amazing result: The most trusted name in TV news, the only one that more Americans trust than distrust, is…Fox!
Respondents were asked whether they did or did trust the various news outlets. Fox turned out to be the only one with a positive score, at 49% yes to 37% no. CNN was at 39%-41%, NBC 35%-44%, CBS 32%-46%, and ABC 41%-46%.
I used to get upset about this sort of thing, but now? Pft. Whatever.
Couple this with a new influx of corporate cash into political advertising and… well hey, democracy was nice while it lasted.
My new plan: Accelerate the country’s descent into anarchy by voting for the craziest, kookiest wingnut the GOP rolls out in 2012. If the GOP injects a chimp with rabies and puts it on a stump to screech for hours on end, I will vote for that goddamn chimp.
The FBI, alleging a plot to wiretap Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu’s office in downtown New Orleans, arrested four people Monday, including James O’Keefe, a conservative filmmaker whose undercover videos at ACORN field offices severely damaged the advocacy group’s credibility.
FBI Special Agent Steven Rayes alleges that O’Keefe aided and abetted two others, Joseph Basel and Robert Flanagan, who dressed up as employees of a telephone company and attempted to interfere with the office’s telephone system.
A fourth person, Stan Dai, was accused of aiding and abetting Basel and Flanagan. All four were charged with entering fedral property under false pretenses with the intent of committing a felony.
A witness from Landrieu’s staff said O’Keefe was present in the office and claimed to be “waiting for someone to arrive.”
Methinks it could be hard time out here for a fake pimp.
