The Tautology of Hope [Mark Hemingway]

I’m pretty sure this is photoshopped, but either way it says volumes about Obama’s vapid sloganeering:

Oho. Well. If that’s the level to which the National Review is reduced these days, then we’re pretty sure this is Photoshopped, but either way it says volumes about…

Above: Mark Hemingway

Okay wait, let’s make it extra funny.

Above: Mark Hemingway

No wait, hang on.

Because it… Okay, here.

Like Roy, we await our worthy opponents’ rejoinder.

Such is the joy of making an ass out of an asshole - most of the groundwork has already been done by the asshole themselves! just add reality & mix - ready in 5 minutes.
I doubt your opponent is worthy - & if their IQ soars into the realm of the 3-digit level & they value their rep, they’ll eschew bringing attention to this with any kind of rejoinder at all.

    Friend –

You may have recently heard right-wing smears questioning Barack Obama’s birth certificate and citizenship.

These assertions are completely false and designed to play into the worst kind of stereotypes.

You can see Barack Obama’s birth certificate for yourself and help push back with the truth at:

During the course of my analysis several calls were made to various departments in the Hawaiian State Government in an attempt to better understand the process and procedures used to create, print, and distribute copies of the COLB form. While I was brushed off or hung up upon by almost all of the people I contacted I did manage to talk with a computer technician who was familiar with the computers and printers used by the Department of Health and the clerk’s offices.

Anyway, I’m fairly certain that McCain isn’t actually a Manchurian Candidate who will hand over the country to his communist masters, but either way it says volumes about about his traitorous, America hating nature.

This reminds me of that time earlier today when I was at the zoo with my 8 year old nephew. Nephew and I were in the primate house; while I watched this one primate operating his water fountain and drinking, nephew went a few cages down and began excitedly telling me to come down there to see the monkeys who were “playing”.

Uh…they were “playing” in the sense that adult animals of all species sometimes “play”. I’ll never forget the look on nephew’s face as he watched the top monkey thrusting away, and said, “…wait…are they…” I gently told him the primates in question seemed to be engaged in some hot monkey love and steered him away from the cage. Thank goodness there were no close-up hardcore shots.

    That last photo–

What does it say, the fact that in the last photo, MH’s shoulders EXACTLY LINE UP with the contours of the bunny?

Talk about pomo. They’re left with, not “is this true,” but rather, “might some secondary operation on this material, albeit in the dimension of the imaginary,” hint that it “could be” true.

This actually makes sense. They start with the imaginary that they present as the real. It’s no big leap, then, to abstract from the not-true to a second-order not-true, and hint that it “means” something.

    Nice photoshopping, G.

    Majikthise exclusive:

McCain’s senior foreign policy advisor tied to global petro-influence peddling

John McCain’s senior foreign policy adviser is a close business associate of Stephen Payne, the lobbyist caught on tape offering access to top administration officials in exchange for donations to the Bush Library.

This is explosive news because Payne’s company’s entire business model is international influence peddling in exchange for oil and gas leases from politically unstable and dictatorial regimes.

McCain’s senior foreign policy and national security adviser, Randy Scheunemann, is listed as a member of Worldwide Strategic Energy’s executive team in a pre-prospectus obtained by Majikthise.

I don’t get it. Clearly there are only two choices on viewing the photo; either it has been Photoshopped or not. But he openly says he knows its been manipulated.

So, who changed the photo then? Again there are only two choices.

Against Obama - so this doesn’t say anything about Obama’s message, it just tries to make it seem silly.
Pro Obama - In this case you could argue it has something to say about Obama’s message (as conveyed by whatever staff did the ’shopping).

But why? For some unknown reason Obama’s stafffers manipulate this image and choose this odd wording? It doesn’t pass the giggle test. If someone shopped it, it was someone in opposition who wanted to make Mr. Obama’s slogans look foolish.

It says volumes about the effectiveness of his campaign messaging when his opponents see the need to attempt to blunt and caricature it like this.
