One logically assumes that vultures would have a similarly uncomplimentary term, but they are known as a venue of vultures, or when the birds are circling on thermals, a kettle of vultures because they resemble the rising bubbles of a boiling pot of water. Is there one book that you’d recommend to uplift and inspire depressed conservatives this summer?

I’ve always doubted that vacuous, smugly pious, overtly-posturing gasbagging such as this could induce projectile vomiting just by reading it. But in fact . . . maybe it will.

Also there was someone who commented about “elitist Wimbledon” before the raucous U.S. Open atmosphere of Murray-Gasquet. That is all.

I actually like some of the movies that Campbell has done, whereas Henriksen is usually doing journeyman’s work in horrible, horrible films. Henriksen wins the Reagan role on quantity and quality.

I have thought about this more than anyone should. I think I’m gonna go play Mario Kart.

This reminds me of the creationists’ constant whining about how much their “theory” of creationism has to offer the world of scientific inquiry. Well, OK, come up with the antidote to SARS based on your “theory.” Develop a unique solution to controlling mosquitoes who carry disease based on goddidit. Come up with new treatements for people with multiple sclerosis and cystic fibrosis based on creationism. Shut up and do it! THEN you’ll get respect and standing in the scientific community.
