Shorter Mike Adams

White Looters In Iowa

  • Ah yes, something reminds me again: Have I explained my theories about black people?

The violence that is committed in an act of looting is not born of some idea that a man is entitled to the things kept from him by historical oppression. The violence against another man’s place of work is born of his own sense of worthlessness for having not fulfilled his responsibilities as an able-bodied man.

Which, of course, explains Enron.

Why do you guys always link to stuff that makes me throw up in my mouth?

slippy hussein toad

Silly Rabbit. Looting is for Negroes. When proper folk do it, it is called foraging and treasure-hunting.

But of course the ugliest scenes were yet to come as looters would turn downtown New Orleans into a place more like downtown Baghdad.

A fine place with freshly-painted schools?

Oh man, no fucking way am reading that! I must ask though, does he work in anything about wicked feminists or his gun collection? It wouldn’t be a proper Dr. Mike column otherwise.

A fine place with freshly-painted schools?

Surge is workin’, mf’er@!

“I simply cannot fathom why these chaps didn’t have their drivers take them to their hunting lodges before the storm came. That’s what mater and pater would have done.”

The fact is, Mike Adams looks like a future serial killer. But he’s still smarter than you liberals.

I think this shorter is better: “If you want to know why black men are shiftless and lazy, blame feminism.”

It really shouldn’t need pointing out, but point it out I will: pack 50,000 starving, thirsty, desperate white people into the Indianapolis Dome for 3 or 4 days, tell them they’ve got no place else to go, and let’s see how things work out, shall we?

What part of “being stranded in 100 degree heat for 2-5 days without food or water” doesn’t this motherfucker understand?

And I wouldn’t be too sure there wasn’t any looting in Iowa – I’m sure quite a few beers and flats of bottled water were liberated from some 7-11s.

These were also areas that didn’t have high crime rates before the disasters hit, but I don’t want to interrupt any conservatives’ rare opportunities to lecture us on the failures of non-white culture.

Of course, the problem involves so much more than race…

“…but that’s all I’m going to talk about anyway.”

goober.

Still shorter Mike Adams: “White looters” = oxymoron

But of course the ugliest scenes were yet to come as looters would turn downtown New Orleans into a place more like downtown Baghdad.

Silly me. I thought the corpses floating in the toxic sludge were the ugliest scenes.

3 years later, and the whingers are still beating the same “OMG!! They’re stealing stuff that doesn’t belong to them!” drum they were beating within 24 hours of New Orleans going underwater, as old ladies were still dying in their attics. There’s your conservative sense of proportion, right there. Old women drowning in their attics? Those old bitches should have gotten the hell out of Dodge. Televisions getting ripped off? It’s a DISGRACE!!!!

Everyone knows that there aren’t any black people in Iowa at all. The Underground Railroad worked so well that we just kept shipping them out of state.

White looter, I wanna looter
White looter, a looter of my own

Mike Adams gotta lot of problems
But he don’t mind writing shit…

That’s because they think of property rights as the most important rights. More specifically, the right of people they can identify with to accumulate and keep stuff.

Is that Mike Adams??? He looks so different without the white hood.

Shorter Mike Adams for anything he writes

Something offensive about blacks/gays! Ha! Take that, liberals! Just you try to censor me!

Wait, where are you going?

Fuck black people and gays!

Hello? Anyone? This thing on?

“Sociologists have, at least to date, failed to grasp what lies behind this problem. ”

This is how they “think.” “Sociologists”–you know how THEY are–who get up every day constrained by professional requirements and peer review, whose entire professional lives are determined by what they write, have “failed” to grasp what I, an alert amateur, see quite clearly.

What we have here, continually, is the detritus of the right. The Bush administration has been a tidal wave of failure. This is who is left, twitching on the beach. “I’m ready for my intellectual closeup, Mr. DeMille!” Go for it, dickhead.

Shorter Doc Mike: You forgot feminists.

That’s taxpayer’s money, you fool! Lest you have forgotten, Republicans have a God-Given right to make off with taxpayer’s money with no questions asked because they are Doing It To Protect Our Country From Terrorists!.

Aks teh fukcing pelicans, man.

Well, there is some looting in Iowa:

http://www.gazetteonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080620/NEWS/146758192/-1/rss01&rssfeed=rss01

The hell with stealin the Teevee. I wants me some liquor!

It was also sad to see that it was one black face after another emerging from the flooded waters.

Yeah, I’m sure seeing all those black survivors was mighty depressing for you.

Also, “flooded waters”? What the hell?

One reason there hasn’t been much looting in Iowa is that the floodwaters haven’t receded sufficiently for people to re-enter their neighborhoods. Another is that there is a much stronger National Guard presence currently in Iowa than there was in New Orleans. In Indiana, once the floodwaters receded, looting began: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25105412/

No 7-11s in Iowa anymore, g. They got run out by QuickTrip, Casey’s, and – I swear I’m not making this up – Kum & Go.

Actually, there has been some looting in Iowa with this current flood. (I don’t think there was much if any looting in 93.) The other day I read a story about a woman “cleaning out” & “removing some stock” from a bar in Iowa City, who told the cops she was the owner but this turned out not to be true. There was no picture with the article so I couldn’t testify as to racial identity. There have also been some incidents of evacuated houses being rifled, I believe.

But hey, people got help here. We actually still had some National Guard in this state, much to my surprise. And people like this Adams asshole don’t get the scale of the disaster in New Orleans, in terms of displaced people and destroyed housing. Dr. Mike strikes me as the type who would have been scared to go to N.O. even prior to Katrina, because of the “crime” and “dirt” and “scary (i.e., black) people.” And the French used to run that place, ya know.

He should come to Iowa. I’d like to show him some downhome hospitality by kicking his ass around the Birdland Marina, bastard trying to make his wingnut hay by exploiting disasters that have fucked up a lot of people’s lives. And for his fucking information, here in Des Moines,at least, quite a few of the displaced poor people were black. So fuck him.

And in the Birdland (a poor area) in Des Moines . . . well, turns out officials knew since the early 90s that some of the levees weren’t in very good shape, but nothing had been done about strengthening them or making them higher. Meantime, developers built in the areas protected by the levees. Today’s Des Moines Register had an article about this.

Mike Adams is A IDIOT.

And it was sadder still that the words “we need” were the first spoken into the camera by these citizens – all utterly unprepared to provide for themselves and their families.

Asshole. The motherfucking city is underwater, dead bodies are everywhere and our dumbshit wingnut president is jamming on a guitar and eating cake, and he finds it “sad” that the uppity n*ggers have the temerity to ask for water and shelter.

I’m a non-violent person, but I’d love to take a Louisville Slugger to this asshole’s kneecaps and then stand over him, laughing at him while he cries in pain.

They got run out by QuickTrip, Casey’s, and – I swear I’m not making this up – Kum & Go.

The first time I ever saw a Kum & Go, I was driving up to Iowa with my mother. We both saw the sign and no one said anything for a minute. Finally I said, “that’s an unfortunate choice of name for a business.” Mom says, “tell me about it. What were they thinking?”

Understand that my mom probably never said a curse word, or at least one that I heard, until I was something like 15 years old. Then she started picking up all kinds of bad language from me.

The other day I read a story about a woman “cleaning out” & “removing some stock” from a bar in Iowa City, who told the cops she was the owner but this turned out not to be true.

That would have been hard to resist in the days when I was selling blood plasma to earn money for Rhinelander and Pop Tarts.

Well, given that:

1) New Orleans the city is exactly like (mostly rural) Iowa.

2) Hurricanes that leave people stranded for days are exactly like floods.
3) New coverage and government response to these incidents is exactly identical.

Then one must conclude that looting is a black thang.

True story: I found print outs from Town Hall and something called The Omega Letters on the train this evening. Foolishly, I scanned a couple of articles before I realized they did not come with a protective layer of Sadly,No! Snark. But this article was one of the print outs.

"Oh Stewardess, I Speak 'Nut"

Did you catch the “Poll Position” question:

“Should oil companies be forced to pay extra taxes when they make a profit?”

I could say something mean about the wording of this question, and point out that companies pay taxes (if at all) only when they “make a profit.” But the truth is, I’m glad to see that someone is courageous enough to promote the interests of large multi-national corporations. Especially the oil giants, whose interests are generally underrepresented in the U.S.

The thing I can’t let go is that this wanker Mike Adams is a CRIMINOLOGY professor. He actually teaches students about criminal behavior. This is what he’s teaching them. [hangs head in shame for higher education]

Another is that there is a much stronger National Guard presence currently in Iowa than there was in New Orleans.

Oh, meaning that there are actually SOME.

Compassion for non-white flood victims is the Final Solution of Liberal Fascism.

Old women drowning in their attics? Those old bitches should have gotten the hell out of Dodge. Televisions getting ripped off? It’s a DISGRACE!!!!

Funny thing. I probably posted this comment when it happened during Hurricane Rita, but I think it bears repeating….

My mom, who is 80ish, and a lifelong Republican (although not a religious type) lives in East Texas, and when Katrina happened, I talked to her on the phone, and she went into this whole thing about “people who didn’t get out of town only have themselves to blame” and “I don’t understand why people didn’t prepare better.” and etc.

Of course, two weeks later, she found herself – luckily, far enough north – not to be hit by the brunt of the storm, but nevertheless her power was out for 3 days and she lost all the food in her fridge, it was hotter than blazes, and she couldn’t get her car out of the garage because she’d closed the electric door, so she couldn’t go to the Red Cross shelter, the Kroger where they sold the remaining food, or the cooling center with the generator. And she was really miserable.

what I didn’t do at the time was rub in the fact that if she’d been living in New Orleans instead of East Texas, she’d totally have been a person stuck in her home, just like the victims. She would truly have been stuck in her attic in Gentilly, if she’d lived there. She’s borderline agoraphobic, and she chose not to evacuate her home, and even when trouble hit she tried to endure it on her own.

I love my mom, but what I saw of her mindset during these disasters made me realize how common it is for people to function with an intellectual disconnect.

So narrowly he misses the point and goes wandering off into space.

I wonder, how he missed the fellows shot to death by police and white guys for leaving the city? I wonder how people are supposed to ‘walk out’ of a flooded city when there is no path or direction which is safe.

Where I live, where I’ve lived all my life, there’s a hill in view. Usually mountains, with frosty peaks. But I know there are no hills to be seen in Louisiana. There are some in Iowa, few, but they are there. People know where high ground is. People in a city don’t know where high ground is. It’s obscured by buildings. And in New Orleans, it didn’t really exist at all.

And looting? There were no shopkeepers to sell anything in the flooding. What’s wrong with taking food and water from a flooded store?

Aparently, what’s wrong is the loss of self. I think. I dunno.

BUT SOMEONE STOLED A TEEVEE!!!!1!!

I’m a non-violent person, but I’d love to take a Louisville Slugger to this asshole’s kneecaps and then stand over him, laughing at him while he cries in pain.

Better to wait until he says he needs a doctor and then tell him to get himself to one.

And I’m with Jennifer: this asshole thinks the ugliest scene is some petty theft while dead humans float around in a toxic pool? Tells you all you need to know about the cold black heart shriveled in his chest.

Anyone remember a photo published at the time of a white couple taking “necessities” from a flooded store while, at the same time, black people were shown “looting”–its all in the phrasing, isn’t it. My god that essay was sick–deeply sick. I’m sorry I read it.

the days when I was selling blood plasma
Whose?

White people find supplies and help themselves. Black people sit on their ass and wait for the gummint to save them, except when the dumasses want a new TV they can totally use in a flood!

Dragon-King Wangchuck

I recall watching a Fox News reporter standing on a bridge in a flooded area of New Orleans just after Katrina. When the first black individual came wading out of the projects the reporter was simply astounded. Like me, the reporter had no idea that folks had been sitting in the projects waiting for someone to come and escort them out of harm’s way.

Mike Adams get his news from Fox? Quelle surprise!

I wonder when this report he was watching aired? Wednesday? Thursday? It is indeed shocking that people expected that the government would help them. I mean, just because the country was in a state of national emergency, just because there were several days warning that this type of storm was coming in, just because it’s basic human decency that makes us try to help those in their thirty, forty, fifty hours of deepest need. Just because things had cleared enough that cable news reporters could broadcast live from inside the flooded city doesn’t mean that there were resources available to help people still stranded on their roofs. The Red Cross made another request to enter the city on Friday. They were told no.

Mike Adams is surprised that people caught by a horrific disaster expected help from their government, probably days after landfall. That he would use this to go on a diatribe about race is deeply offensive, but not surprising. That he believes the ugliest scenes were those of looting despite the fact that over 700 bodies were recovered in New Orleans by October 23, 2005. That he somehow managed to work Jeremiah White into this ridiculous diatribe, well by the halfway point of the article, I was expecting it.

He speaks with the certainty of the righteous and espouses the hateful views he needs to maintain his sense of superiority. He’s better because he’s white, because he’s male. And because he’s better his theory that white males are superior must be correct. But his entire world view is based on these tenets, that the one supports the other supprorts the other. And although his powers of denial and willful obliviousness to anything that might challenge these assumptions are strong, it is my fervent wish that something, anything pierces that recusive fallacious logic armor and forces him to actually look at how he sees the world again. Because if he did, he would probably kill himself.

But then again, I’m probably giving him too much credit, so the baseball bat to the knees is probably a better approach.

White people find supplies and help themselves.

I believe that’s called “looting”.

Salute to my fellow Clear Lake High School Falcon! You fucking douche!

Oh, That's Just George

I think I already posted this, but I think I screwed it up. I’ll try it again.
The Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier is reporting some looting….

Mikey, it’s amazing the difference about 30 seconds and Google News can make. Idiot. At this point I am only dreading the inevitable e-mail forward that pops up comparing every big weather event out here (I’m in Minnesota) to Katrina with all the expected factless racist overtones. I just may bust a cap in several asses today if I do.

A fine place with freshly-painted schools?

Naw, that’s just PR.

A place where Blackwater contractors get to do what they please, of course.

I’m a non-violent person, but I’d love to take a Louisville Slugger to this asshole’s kneecaps

Point of information:
– feet have 40+ bones each – small, delicate, hard-to-fix bones that hurt for years
– medical science has gotten pretty good at fixing knees
– it’s not possible to stand or walk without putting lots of weight on feet

Y’all think that “Kum & Go” is bad? On a drive eastward from St. Louis, I saw repeated billboards advertising the services of an RV salesman named, and I am not making this up, Tom Raper.

My favorite, I think, was one advertising the size of the selection to be had at the dealership, which had the same “Tom Raper” legend at the top of the billboard, and below that, in great big excited letters, “HUGE!”.

I swear, I am not making this up.

Re: Tom Raper

I believe you, grendelkhan, I saw billboards for the same guy west of Columbus, Ohio on I-70 towards Indiana.

American Citizen

There was looting after the recent smaller-scale flooding in Columbus, IN. wwwtherepublic.com has a few stories.

I made the mistake of clicking the link and reading the resulting drivel. What amazed me in spite of myself was the sheer number of bald, unsupported assertions Dr. Mike made. Ever heard of research or cites, motherfucker?

Some examples:

“I am referring, of course, to the fact that black females are more likely than black males to take advantage of affirmative action”

“In fact, overall differences between blacks and whites…are largely due to the failures of black males relative to everyone else in society”

“Sociologists have, at least to date, failed to grasp what lies behind this problem.”

“They continue to believe, or pretend to believe, that gender differences are merely “socially constructed.””

“A man has as an inherent component of his being a need to be useful in some form of occupation.”

“The violence against another man’s place of work is born of his own sense of worthlessness”

“But [sociologists] are silent regarding the thousands of minorities killed at the hands of other minorities annually.”

And on and on. That’s a whole lotta bullcrap piled onto a foundation of playing cards and every card is the Ace of Spades.

“A man has as an inherent component of his being a need to be useful in some form of occupation.”

How fortunate for Mr. Adams that he is the blissful exception to his own rule.

What I don’t get about the “OMG, NEGRO LOOTERZ!” craziness is… did the store owners come back and retrieve their 99″ teevees and sell them elsewhere? Um, no. Did the grocery stores reopen and start selling the food that was left on the shelves? Nuh uh. Everything sat in the wet until the mud and mold and corrosion made it worthless anyway. The looting made no difference.

But to wingnuts, a black man carrying something that he didn’t pay for is much more horrible sight than dead bodies floating in the streets. Bodies aren’t property anymore, so they don’t count.

sagra: Bodies aren’t property anymore, so they don’t count.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

“But [sociologists] are silent regarding the thousands of minorities killed at the hands of other minorities annually.”

OneMan, that’s the one that made me scratch my head the most. I mean, if thirty seconds with Google can make you look like this much of a tool, how do you stay employed? How?

So, let’s sum up here:
*Iowa looters – why, yes, they’re real.

*Iowa versus N.O. – different geography, different disaster, different level of response at different times, so yeah, there’s an awesome analogy for ya.

*Blacks more violent – fuck no … it’s an ugly cliche but it still holds: the most violent are those with CELTIC blood. If you’re going to do something as stoopid as tying violence to race, whitey wins, hands down. Just include wars in that statistic. DUH.

*Big Easy is still a disaster, but Iowa will be just peachy soon – just peachy my ass: a lot of those family farms are now swamps & their owners will be utterly bankrupt with nobody to even sell the land to, unless they can find some swamplovers with money to throw away. Those rural communities weren’t doing so hot even before the flood – ghost towns, dead ahead.
*Looting is Teh Apocalypse – jeez Louise, the crap’s going to waste if it doesn’t get boosted, & we’re talking starving desperate people here. I say we put Adams in the aftermath of a monster storm like Katrina, & see if he’s enough of an asshat to watch perfectly good food rot while he listens to his stomach rumble. My money says it takes all of 6-8 hours before he develops a chronic case of Sticky Fingers.
I won’t say I’m down with the baseball-bat-therapy idea — but I might volunteer to hold the filthy vermin down while someone ELSE puts it into practice. Afraid I’d be too tempted to “miss” & hit a homer off his nuts instead.

… it’s an ugly cliche but it still holds: the most violent are those with CELTIC blood.

I’d like to smash you in the face with my shillelagh for saying that.

I’d like to smash you in the face with my shillelagh for saying that.

Bring it if you’re hard enough, wee lad!

“unless they can find some swamplovers with money to throw away.”

You mean like the govenment? No doubt they will be buying up more small towns that sit in the flood plain so that people don’t rebuild there anymore.
