Even if the slur were something non-racist, it would be inappropriate for a news organization to use it. How about flashing the word “airhead” in a chryon under a picture of Megan McCain, or “trophy wife” under a picture of Jeri Thompson? Or “dog killer” under a picture of Judy Giuilani?
