A Swede is a German disguised as a human being.

My nice and capable colleague Anneli Mooe was recently interviewed by the journal Fack?vers?ttaren ["Translator of non-fiction prose"], and the result was one to my mind very good exposition of how the subtitler profession works. I know that many of the readers here are interested in the subject, but since the web site of Fack?vers?ttaren has not put up PDF versions of the journal since last year, I link (with Anneli’s approval) to her scanned pictures of the pages. You can translate that interview from Swedish to English: (I can’t post the URL here due to your filters but it’s translation-guide . com)

It’s something about an interviewer for a magazine and how he links to the PDF version with pictures. (I think – the translation is so rough.) That magazine is weird, the graphic design looks so retro.

Your quotes match perfectly. I wonder if your quote knowledge is suffering now that you don’t have access to our crap TV.
