Its only eveel conservative misinformation that paints those wonderful islamofreedom fighters as wanting to stone gays and force women to wear burkahs.

It's only confused and shortsighted liberals who assumed that gays don't enjoy being stoned and that burkahs aren't the new little black dress.

First, this is a moderately sized liberal blog. Whatever one writes here is not going to cost Obama any election. So cool it, people.

Second, I'm well aware that getting elected requires compromise. It does not, however, require taking every single opportunity that presents itself sucking up to people that will never support you anyway. Whatever Obama does to show his unwavering support for the dispossession and murder of Palestinians (who will, by the way, be really relieved to hear that they are being sacrificed on the altar of the "possible"), it's never enough. So I don't see why he's still doing it.

Finally, there are certain compromises we expect those we consider voting for not to make. This is true for everyone here, I imagine. Would you vote for a candidate who openly and repeatedly panders to neo-confederates? For a candidate who holds homosexuals responsible for our ills? Those stands might well help get someone elected.

From Graham's Wiki entry:

Graham has been involved in various controversies over his career.

    * In July of 2005, Graham used Islam and terrorism as the basis for a multi-day discussion on his WMAL talk radio show.[8] A number of Graham's comments prompted over one hundred complaints to the station and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) issued action alerts to its subscribers encouraging them to contact WMAL to urge that "Graham be reprimanded for his anti-Islam statements"[9], ultimately prompting WMAL to suspend him. After 28 days, WMAL elected to terminate Graham stating that he violated station policy and disregarded "management direction" to redress the situation. [10] The situation prompted angry editorials from Graham [11] as well as appearances on nationally televised news programs to discuss the firing.[12] [13]

    * Graham attended a rally to protest the Real ID Act, sponsored by Casa de Maryland in May of 2005.[14] He was photographed in an INS shirt, and was blocked from entering the event even as he showed ABC Radio credentials, with officials citing public safety. An altercation ensued, and police were called, with a second altercation occurring following their arrival. After questioning, Graham was allowed to enter the event with his shirt turned inside out.[15]

    * Graham was fired from his first commercial talk-radio job at WBT in Charlotte, North Carolina after comments he made on-air in the wake of the Columbine massacre in 1999[16].

    * Graham drew criticism from blogs on the Left and the Right for comments about Bill and Hillary Clinton made on CNN Headline News' Glenn Beck Show on June 20, 2007. Referring to a Clinton campaign ad based on the final episode of The Sopranos, Graham said "...didn't you at some point want to see, like, Paulie Walnuts, somebody come in here and just whack them both right there? Wouldn't that have been great?...Come on! Where's "Big Pussy"? Come on! Let's make it happen...I wanted that."[17] Beck did not agree with Graham's comments.

Michael Graham: too crazy even for Glenn Beck.

Also, usually when you keep losing jobs for the same fuck-up reason, you're considered to have 'a problem'.

Actually, Klein doesn't just have cordial chats with bearded Jihadis; he also has cordial chats with bearded Kahanist nutters, although instead of writing unflattering profiles he presents them as concerned Jewish community leaders worried about Olmert. See here and here.

Hey everyone. Remember back in '06 when Gary predicted increased GOP majorities in both the House and Senate? Good times.

I bet he'd make a great campaign manager, once he's done with his probation.

If Obama wins the nomination, then expect McCain to win by 15 points.

After all, Obama and McCain are tied in Massachusetts according to a new SurveyUSA poll.

But I don't expect Democrat elites to pick a nominee who can't even carry Massachusetts.

I can’t post on his new site either. I was able to register but the login crashes. It sucks that you have to register to post a comment.

Indeed. And the biggest reason it sucks is that it completely deters wingnuts who have been mocked by TBogg from showing up in the comments to stage multi-hundred comment rage meltdowns as in years past (Godlstein, Ace, etc).
