Where he mentions “McClatchy Newspapers”, he provides this link: It’s the same link for McClatchy that Cole and Sadly No link to.

Nowhere, not in a single place, does the article mention there is “no Al-Qaeda in Iraq”. It doesn’t allege it, it doesn’t imply it, it doesn’t mention unnamed sources that say it.

I guess you are technically right when you say ‘two different things are being discussed”, but what you fail to mention is that one is citing an article while complaining that the piece cited is saying something that it clearly isn’t. The other is discussing what’s actually in the article.

Oh hell, I’m sure you think it’s all just happenstance, but usually the conflation of the words Hussein, terrorists, and Al Queda is an attempt to imply a connection. Really.
