In reality, of course, Iraq today is less free than Egypt, the Palestinian territories, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Rwanda and other havens of whiskey-sexy-time democracy.

Heckuva job!

OK, I’m going to be a western-hemisphere-centric ugly american and ask what’s up with not posting anything for 17 hours and then putting up 4 quick-succession posts that have 5 videos that are going to drive us nuts because we’re at work and can’t watch them? You make me SO mad…

Yeah, J, I’m looking forward to the Tibetan Olympic team marching into the Stadium on 08.08.08.

The build up to Olympics out here (SE Asia) is nauseating, China, its great, wonderful, look at the buildings, the stadiums, etc, etc, makes me want to spew….

Dude, I really didn’t need that reappallation experience. I was pissed off enough the first time around, watching it live during the Games. Never before had anyone had the gall to push a political ad (and a screamingly false one, at that) during the Olympics.

I should have expected it. It’s not as if we didn’t know that with Bush, nothing is holy but his august and leaderly self.

As the Official Sheriff of the verb “spew” I must issue a clarification – “spew” is perfectly acceptable when referring to actual spewing.

It is only when used as a synonym for “speaking” or “writing” that “spew” is prohibited, and thge user receives 10 demarits and is required to wear a scarlet WingNut symbol.

National Review founder William F. Buckley Jr. died overnight in the study of his Stamford, Connecticut, home, the magazine announced on its Web site Wednesday……His assistant Linda Bridges says he had been ill with emphysema and was found dead by his cook

I can just see the scene now…..

Middle-aged Latina woman, wearing a uniform and apron knocks on the heavy door. “Meester Buckley, your breakfast is waiting.” No answer. She waits, knocks again, then slowly turns the knob. The door creaks open.

    She gasps.

Polished mahogany desk with leather blotter. A cut crystal old-fashioned glass lies on its side, brown liquid spilling onto the blotter surface.

The old man, slumped in the leatherbacked chair, one hand outstretched toward the desk, a fountain pen fallen from lifeless fingers onto a yellow legal pad.

Not even a mention that he was possibly the biggest single contributor to muddying the waters over race in main stream media.

    Hence my above suggestion.

    From Wikipedia:

“Buckley came late to formal instruction in the English language, not learning it until he was seven years old (his first language was Spanish, learned in Mexico

Clearly, Buckley was planted in the US as a mole for the Conquista Mexlamofascist Aztlanian regime.

The National Post is running a series of excerpts from Liberal Fascism. The title and brief blurb were probably written by the Post’s editorial staff. The rest comes from the book. The column as it is presented is confusing, as it gives no clear indication that it is an excerpt.

The FROGmarch, to be specific. Right into Gitmo, or an undisclosed location. And it wasn’t 51% of us; it was more like 50%, or possibly 48%, of the approximately 50% of eligible voters who showed up at the polls, which if I recall correctly reduces the numbers to the Magic Keyes Percentage.
