Mikey, I could use some perfect dood recipes, especially any of the one-pan ones.

We’re actually into plus 15 lately. A pair of bald eagles has taken up temporary residence right across the Mississippi river from downtown St. Paul and also within view of my house. Both sunday and today one of them flew right over the top of my truck (as in 20′-30′ away) in pursuit of prey. I can still find reasons to like living up here.

gbear, I got “burner confused”. It’s easy to do when trying to do too many things, including drinking heavily, while cooking. So I carefully hand breaded the pork loin chop and put it in a way too hot pan and didn’t notice. So it got way too dark way too fast without the planned partial cooking. Fuck

So I transfered it into a 300 oven and made a mushroom/cream/wine/sour cream/tamari sauce and brought it up to temp (no, no boil, just hot, don’t wanna end up with an oil slick) and steamed some green beens and heated up some leftover garlic n butter shells and plated the damaged, but secretly still delicious pork and the perfect green beans and pasta and applied the sauce judiciously to the pork and the beans.

By the time I sat down, the hot sauce had disolved the dark crust and created this incredible, delicious goo that only contributed to the perfect pink goodness of the pork.

Your tale of curled frozen pizza makes me sad. It makes me think I oughta take a road trip to the TCs and give you a couple of perfect dood recipes. But then I think about the whole minus 15 thing and I think. Maybe later…

I heard earlier that there was a picture out there of Obama in African tribal clothes that got leaked, and I wondered “What is wrong with that?”. Assuming this is the picture mentioned, it still doesn’t seem that big of a deal. I dressed up as a nun for Halloween but that doesn’t make me a secret Catholic.
