Old news. There have been variations on a theme of “Did you know Steve Cohen is JEWISH? and WHITE? That makes him a BAD PERSON!” since the last time Cohen got elected. (One of his opponents said that Cohen shouldn’t be elected because the district was black and Cohen was Jewish and the Jews could never really represent non-Jews.) If Obama doesn’t have to apologize for Julian Bolton, he doesn’t have to apologize for this guy either.

Nobody gives a fuck about the Weather Underground. There were a lot of excesses in those days, and not all of them were on the left. You may recall that Republicans killed how many of our people? How many freedom riders did they butcher? How many of our politicians did the republicans gun down? What those on our side did, they did to strike a blow against a corrupt and oppressive system. What their side did, they did to keep hundreds of thousands in second class citizenship. We did a lot of things that were wrong, but we will never tough the depths of their evil.
