So… the original caption says “blah blah a woman holds up two bullets she says hit her house blah blah”; the correction comes “blah blah a woman holds up two unspent bullets at her house blah blah,” and the correction isn’t good enough for the screechers? I’m trying to think of what an appropriate corrected caption would have to say: “blah blah a woman holds up two unspent bullets at her house, therefore they did not hit her house as our uncorrected caption said a while ago”? “blah blah a woman holds up two unspent bullets, so obviously either she was lying earlier when she said they hit her house, or we were lying about her having said it, or maybe we misunderstood because there had been bullets flying around near her house at some point, and we thought she said one thing and she really meant another, so we’re pointing out that the bullets were unspent, so they obviously couldn’t have hit the house, but we have to say it outright because otherwise the American reading public will get the mistaken impression that there are no ponies in Iraq”?

I’m assuming their overall point is that since the bullets in that woman’s hands may not have been fired, no American bullet has ever hit an Iraqi civilian, ever. Indeed, no bullet has ever been fired at all from Good Americans in anger in the history of the world. Cool, glad to know it.

Kudos to Malkin and CY to expose this conspiracy of little old ladies.

You know, without Medicare we wouldn’t have all these treasonous old people undermining our patriotic surge and foiling our plan to add Iraq and the Phillipines to the Confederacy.

All hail Stonewall G. Bush! He stood there like a stonewall.

    The South shall rise again!

And the burka is obviously photoshopped!

I don’t understand why this old Muslim woman who lives in a country that is not the United State, doesn’t love our heroic, white, Christian troops who are only in her country in the first place to kill her leaders and forcibly submit her friends and neighbors to foreign occupation.

Doesn’t she know that she is supposed to throw candies and flowers at the feet of our white Christian soldiers while they are shooting at her?

The only reason she is not felating teh troops every evening is because she is a liberal north-east elitist (from Iraq), who hates George Bush and wants the terrorists, i.e. the people in her country who aren’t happy about being occupied, to win in Iraq (where she has lived her whole life).

Why can’t she and her partisan lot come around and embrace the president like we all did right after 9/11, and right before we bombed the shit out of her country, rendered it ungovernable, and unleased violent chaos upon her country (which is really ours)?

I like it that she’s pointing out that those bullets aren’t from M-16′s when it’s obvious in the picture that those particular bullets are still in their shell casings, so it’s not like the caliber matters worth a damn anyway because those are obviously unfired shells.

So bad, bad bad wire service photographer for being so retarded as to say “you know, this picture would be a lot more dramatic if you were holding a prop.” But it’s hardly news that dramatic pictures get picked up and used and make the photographer a few dollars and even maybe win pulitzers while pictures of little old ladies all by their lonesomes rarely do.

Srsly though, Michelle, get a grip: this is capitalism at work, babe. Jonah Jamison doesn’t pay for boring pics and Peter Parker’s best shots were totally staged.

No, no, I think I get it. The unfired bullets that didn’t hit her house weren’t unfired by US troops because they are unfired 7.65×39 rounds, so clearly they were unfired by Iraqi troops, or insurgents.

We’ve really got to increase the surge. With all these fuckers running around iraq not firing, the place is freakin lousy with unwounded and undead terrorists and civilians.

Now, certainly this would be a bigger issue if the unfired rounds had been 5.56 NATO. Because that would mean the bullets that didn’t hit her house weren’t fired by American troops, and she would remain unwounded while her house was undamaged by the rounds the americans didn’t fire that didn’t hit her house because they were actually unfired 7.65 rounds that didn’t hit her house and didn’t wound her or her family.

Conclusion? Clearly it was al Quaeda terrorists who did not fire at her house, not wounding her in the process…

    Get it?

    Good…

First they blamed the ATP for exposing the old woman’s lie about unspent AK-47 shells striking her house with a photograph. Then they blamed the ATP for changing the caption to match the photograph and “covering up” the old woman’s lie. Will they ever be satisfied?

How can you Sad’ers not see that by proving those rounds hadn’t been fired, this shows some great news from Iraq…? Yes, some of the ammunition from those 190,000 missing assault rifles has been found again! Hurrah! The Surge is working! Now if we can just find the rifles themselves, the Iraqi Army will have something to fire them with!

I guess I should stress: I don’t think she normally has any point, but the caption is utterly retarded for the picture. It demonstrates that some in the MSM don’t even know how guns work. Please continue with snarkworthy snark and critique.

I agree. They either don’t know a damn thing about firing ammo or their vetting process is in the tank. That’s not to say, however, that the caption + picture is proof—proof I say!—of a treasonous liberal media. The caption doesn’t say the bullets belong to Marines, but that’s no reason not to believe that’s exactly what the media wants you to believe! (wink, nudge)

My granny was utterly convinced that the chipmunks outside her little house in the country were raiding her kitchen cupboards. It was actually mice in her kitchen cupboards — we even showed her the traps with the dead mice in them — but she remained convinced that any gnawed corners on her cracker boxes were the work of those gosh-darned CHIPMUNKS!!!! Because, according to her, she never saw those so-called “mice” (except when we were waving the full traps at her), but chipmunks — she couldn’t step into her yard without seeing a chipmunk or three zipping around. Proof!

It’s kinda nice to find out that little old ladies in Iraq have so much in common with little old ladies in Poughkeepsie. Malkin and all her minions can talk about shell casings and such, but that little old lady — she’s got those big ol’ bullets, right there in her hands, and nobody’s going to convince her that those weren’t the bullets fired at her house. Proof!

I’m pretty sure Scott Beauchamp reported that those bullets came from Jamil Hussein’s gun. And this will be the hat-trick that CY-IP-MM will use to bring down the MSM!
