I’m so sorry for you. Seriously. I had the grave misfortune to live there for two years while my dad was finishing up his Air Force career and when he floated the idea of staying there after he retired, we kids made it clear that he was insane and there was no way *that* was going to happen.

If the California Republican party weren’t such fuckups, they could control this state for a millenium. Outside of Hollywood, Beverly Hills, the Westside and the Bay Area, this state is as backwards and reactionary as anywhere in the South.
