Even If Entering Iraq Was a Mistake, Leaving Is Worse

  • Perhaps we soiled the bed, but if so, the only conscionable plan is to live in the mess from now on, to avoid tracking it through the house.

‘Shorter’ concept created by Daniel Davies and perfected by Elton Beard.

Why is it that the low-hanging fruit always delivers?

Oh, well, Kaye, Swank, and a lot of the other juicy low-hanging fruits are Brad’s beat, by ancient right and compact.

Prager’s allowed to ask for endless sacrifices since all his children are serving on the front lines in Iraq. Or they’re getting served in the front table at Spagos. One of the two, anyway. The danger is all relative.

Perhaps we soiled the bed in your house when we weren’t even invited over for the weekend, but if so, the only conscionable plan is to live in the mess from now on forcing you to live by our values and standards, to avoid tracking it through the house. You really don’t know what’s best for you. Are there any cheetos left?

“I am appalled that my country messily crapped itself, appalled at the runny stains on its trousers, appalled by the stench of death that surrounds this President, this congress, this populace. But I like pie. As much as I loathe that ewy smell of poop pants, I still like pie.
    Hey look, North Korea.”

I posted this over at Thers’s’s’s’s’s place, but I think it’s a fun image: It’s like they’re trying to clean underwear with their asses.

I believe that opposition to the Bush administration and the war are in large part fueled by the administration and their supporters inability to admit to their colossal error in judgemet. No arguements about the consequences of leaving Iraq will resonate regardless of merit until they apologize. They never will and they will not be forgiven.
