Lesley, I agree with your assessment of what the twelve-year-olds add to the general discussion (sub-nothing), but it’s Gavin’s & Brad’s & Retardo’s & Seb’s blog and if they don’t choose to block nuisances on their own blog, they have that right. As good guests, if we’re going to come to their blog-parties, we have to bear with minor annoyances.

Seriously, I assume aa is a couple of twelve-year-old homeschoolers because waltzing into a conversation and announcing “I am wonderful, and all of you suck!!1!!” is the sort of thing that might strike a couple of bright but socially-isolated preadolescents as witty. It might, on the other hand, be Jonah Goldberg’s alter ego, Gary Ruppert’s younger sister, or an aging cheerleader with a neglectful spouse and a substance-abuse problem or whatever its blogsite claims. But it’s just as hooked on negative attention as positive attention, so it’s up to us grown-up people to IGNORE IT until it loses interest and goes the hell away. Which I doubt would take very long, if it couldn’t feed its neediness at the glow of everyone’s loathing.
