I thought the original post was funny. But the “gay person = statutory rapist” in the comments is pretty stupid. Maybe I’m being oversensitive, but I didn’t expect to run into it on – of all places – Sadly, No!

Bloggo, I’m the one who made the comment that Foley’s (hypothetical) homosexuality is irrelevant to what he did. And it is–it’d be wrong no matter the gender of the kid. Not that I disagree with the delight in seeing the Republicans, a party that likes to call what consenting adults do somehow evil, be caught harboring a guy who did something actually evil–i.e., sexually harrassing minors.
