Homosexual Agenda 3, Bigots 0

Oh, you poor damned fools, letting us have these victories, now our Homosexual Agenda shall wreck havoc upon your formerly straight marriages as omnisexual fluberts use their magick powers to absorb your very souls!

B. Daniel Blatt (America’s Dumbest Homosexual), Gay “Pig for Bacon”:
The gay marriage decisions & the gay marriage debate

It’s been a pretty good week for the queer community. Not so much for democracy or even any pretense that the Supreme Court isn’t still willing to do everything in its power to keep the rotting corpse of the Republican Party jittering forward on its last shattered leg. And not so much for revealing that nearly every decision lies in whether or not Justice Kennedy hates a given group enough and/or wants to help his party succeed illegally rather than anything even remotely having to do with the rule of law. And definitely not so much for our broken media and their selling of their last scraps of dignity in order to cover every event like paparazzi looking for an upskirt shot.

But for us faggots? Yeah, pretty good week.

Shorter:

  • A pair of monumental decisions that directly affect my life as a California homosexual is far less important and interesting as starting to write the same book I’ve been attempting to start for months. But hey, if you need me to say something, let me just link to two dismissive posts from my facebook page while whining about faggots needing some “federal goverment” to give them “approval” like the sort of weepy eyed weak-willed women who’d care about full legal rights.

The Prop 8 decision and the DOMA decisions both loom high and will very likely be the main topic of conversation in the upcoming Pride weeks as it has already been for the various wingnut and traditional media outlets.

K-Lo/J-Load’s “The Editors” mask, National Screw
Our Generation’s Roe
Marriage: The Court Picks a Side

And yeah, of course, these decisions deserve to be trumpeted and celebrated as much as wingnuts weep and despair over them. These are huge stepping stones on the road to equality. Long delayed victories that have been fought over for years to ensure that those who are already married have access to the federal benefits extended to every other married couple in America and also to put an end to the constant Calvinball game of marriage rights in California (it’s legal, wait, no it’s not, okay it is, but wait to see if it really is, now hop on your left foot and SPIN).

Shorter for K-Lo:

  • Waaaaaa! The deranged group of anti-gay bigots we sent in the hope that the Supreme Court would be bigoted enough to slap down those uppity faggots without noticing the fact that we had no case, were treated like they had no case! Waah! The Supreme Court didn’t treat the private individuals suing for legal rights as part of their constitutional rights like a bunch of bigots trying to delay the inevitable! Waah! Let’s all blow up queer-friendly wedding chapels in protest!

As a person in a homoromantic relationship, it is immense what these decisions represent. A legal option finally resolved and yanked away from the hands of Mormon missionaries and wingnut advertising agencies and treated with the respect it deserves. And the long-awaited beginning of acceptance that a “gay marriage” is equal and no different than a “straight marriage” and deserves all the same protections and powers thereof.

Verbatim “Editors”:

  • It is saying that the supporters bring nothing but bigotry to the discussion.

The real argument for continuing to treat marriage as the union of a man and a woman is that marriage and marriage law exist to channel sexual behavior in a way that promotes the flourishing of children. They exist, that is, to solve a problem that does not arise in same-sex unions: that heterosexual sex often gives rise to children. They exist to uphold the ideal that children need the mother and father who created them to stay in a stable relationship together. Recognition of same-sex marriage means that the institution is no longer about those things.

There are, of course, coherent arguments against this view, and while we do not think them ultimately successful, an increasing number of people clearly disagree with our conclusion.

What should have mattered in court was that weighing that question is not their business.

And we can see in those weeping wingnut faces at these decisions how much the world has moved on regarding gay rights. Even the current Supreme Court. THIS Supreme Court, the one wondering sternly if deliberately blocking black people from voting is racist and thinks that corporations are people, has difficulty pulling its usual fascist turn to argue that a bunch of angry wingnuts screaming contradictory and off-topic rants about children and “traditional” (ownership-based views of) marriage is blah blah blah Original Intent of the Founding Fathers, half-hearted rationalization.

Which is why these decisions are not the thing that most brings a smile to my face this week.

I mean, sure, these decisions are great and will help real people and that’s great and wonderful and amazing and worth grinding in a suspended cage over, but they also were kinda no-brainers. Successful LGBT activism has tipped the populace on gay rights, especially marriage rights. Since California’s queer community decided to put all its support behind the legal challenge rather than trying another Proposition, a huge swath of the country has passed gay marriage rights, through State Supreme Courts, through State Congresses, and even through referendum. California’s Attorney General didn’t even want to defend the law because he saw how it would be a complete waste of the state’s money. Same with DOMA. Though it may be the doughy eyed boy of the wingnut set, most of the Republican Party has been pretending it was the sole creation of a mad-eyed Bill Clinton for a long time. Additionally, the federal government initially balked at defending it knowing that the case, barring a complete travesty of justice, would be quickly overturned as the patently unconstitutional garbage it was.

Which is of course not to diminish the hard work that went into these particular victories. Things that are “going” to happen, still need to actually happen and that can be the hardest fight sometimes. Just look at how long the Lily Ledbetter Act was delayed.

No, rather it is to acknowledge just how far gay rights are steamrolling forth. For the first time, rights don’t feel like an “if”, merely a “when”. The public is starting to treat homophobia like the bigotry it is, the “common clay” is less willing to “think of the children” or worry about their penises at the thought of sharing the neighborhood with a queer couple, too many people physically know a queer person who refuses to go back into the closet and hide, and the rats are beginning to abandon the anti-gay scams in droves.

Which is why what brings me the most joy this Pride season is this:

Rev. Mark H. Creech, Render America:
Exodus International flees the Promised Land

No. Not the fact that Exodus International the go-to abuse factory for every penny-ante homophobe who wants to argue that homosexuality is just some mental or social disorder not only shut its doors, but apologized openly and frankly for being a fraud institution that has done legitimate direct damage to the queer community, though that was genuinely surprising, touching, and heartening for the future.

No. Rather, the pants-shitting response by the other professional homophobes, the ones who have built their tiny little castles entirely on the abuse and mistreatment of a once-hated minority, who realize that they’ve invested their life savings in a ghost town with no access to water.

Why?

Well, reason one has to do with me being a terrible person who finds joy in the suffering of terrible people who are struggling with no longer being able to profit their lives on the pain and suffering of those already marginalized. But, the other…

Shorter (or the last port before Jungle):

  • FUCK! Fuck you, you traitorous fucks! You were the last holdouts all us small timers were clinging onto and now you’ve abandoned us as well! Well, so what, we don’t need you, we can still sell the same bullshit to our elderly flocks without you! … Oh, we are so fucked!

… Let’s be honest, it’s just the one reason. I’m sorry, but glorious history-making conclusions to long-fought struggles I have marched and bled for just isn’t as exciting without that tasty tasty schadenfreude.

It is considered a landmark announcement, proof that the cultural winds are shifting in favor of the acceptance of homosexuality by the evangelical community. Exodus International, a ministry devoted to helping people overcome same-sex attractions is shutting down. Alan Chambers, the ministry’s president, is apologizing for much of the hurt he believes the ministry has caused the LGBT community.

I mean, taste those tears! You can just see his eyes glazing over as he writes this as he realizes that the comforting safety of the majority is slipping away from him, even in his tiny little subculture of bigots.

Chambers, who now rejects the view that sexual orientation can be changed through the Gospel, wrote that he believes there is a sense in which his apology is for the whole church. “[I]f the church is a body, with many members being connected to the whole, then I believe that when one of us does right we all do right, and when one of us does wrong we all do wrong,” he said. “We have done wrong, and I stand with many others who now recognize the need to offer apologies and make things right.” [1]

Which… let me step out of character for a second to say this. I hate this man. What he has done to so many youth, selling abuse, closets, and increased likelihoods for suicide with the promise of making “problems” go away has been atrocious. The horrors of ex-gay camps are such, that the only way to process them without weeping is through high camp or black comedy (for example). And this man has built an empire on cultural bigotries and broken children who have been taught to hate themselves for how they were born. All because he broke himself into a million fragments and forced those scattered pieces into a heteronormative lie and therefore everyone else should too. An inch deep closet enforced by cultural guilt and carefully taught self-hatred.

But.

But I have nothing but deep deep respect for how he’s handled himself here. Given how much the evangelical homophobe community has raised this organization on its shoulders, it took serious reproductive organs to stand up and say “No. We fucked up. We did wrong. Our opponents are right, this is destructive and fake and no one should ever be doing it.” It’s a true apology, the kind we almost never see anymore in the land of fauxpologies and “I’m sorry if you were offended by”s. Just straight up understanding of the damage he’s done to himself and others and a genuine attempt to start making amends. And that is damn worthy of some well-earned kudos.

But enough of that, let’s get back to those stranded by the Arc trying to rationalize it as a good thing.

But Russell Moore, president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention takes umbrage with Chambers’ apology, arguing: “I think there is a tendency to see Exodus folding as a parable of Christian capitulation and ethic. That is not what is happening. Instead what you have is an organization that has some confusion about its mission and purpose…What is not happening here, is an evangelical revision of a biblical sexual ethic.” [2]

Tactic 1: What dramatic change? Everything is 100%. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. The flood waters won’t come if we just don’t believe in it hard enough!

Peter LaBarbera, who leads Americans for Truth About Homosxuality, would agree with Moore. When OneNewsNow recently asked LaBarbera about Exodus shutting down, he said, “I think Alan Chambers, who basically ruined the organization, had no choice because the affiliates were leaving. All the people who support the truth that homosexuals can change and overcome this perversion through Jesus Christ were leaving Exodus.” [3]

Tactic 2: They didn’t abandon us, we abandoned them! We like living on this sinking island all alone without respect and with even less of a leg to stand on! So there!

LaBarbera, who called Exodus’ closing one of the greatest tragedies he had witnessed in the pro-family movement, also shared where he believes the ministry made its fatal mistake. He said, “Homosexuality is about behavior, and behaviors can be changed with the help of God and through Christ…That’s what Exodus used to be about. But once they started talking about so called ‘gay sexual orientation,’ as if this is the inherent state of somebody’s being, they got in trouble.” [4]

Tactic 3: If only no one had let anyone know about reality and we kept using only our preferred terminology of dehumanization and abuse, then that little faggot-lover wouldn’t have grown a conscience and we wouldn’t be stuck here on this god forsaken rock!

LaBarbera makes a critical point that raises a fundamental question: Is the concept of “sexual orientation” biblical? It is my contention that this expression, which finds its source in modern psychology and is so easily bandied about, doesn’t have a biblical leg to stand on.

Is surgery biblical? If it’s not explicitly stated in a medieval translation of a Bronze Age text, then, surely if someone needs intervention to stop a clotted artery, it is better to sacrifice their first born on an altar with a stone knife instead.

Also Ruth and Naomi and King David and Jonathan.

The Scriptures say, “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them (Genesis. 1:27). When Jesus spoke to the religious leaders of his day about marriage and divorce, a passage certainly related to human sexuality, Jesus referenced the same Genesis passage repeating, “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.'” (Mark. 10:6).

Intersex people were made by Carl, God’s lesser known cousin.

The point is that the language of “sexual orientation” is an imposition today on much of what the Bible says about sexuality. According to the Bible no one was born heterosexual or homosexual, each was born ether a male or a female biologically. Heterosexual or homosexual behaviors are sexual acts, with heterosexual acts blessed and sanctified in some cases and condemned in others, while homosexual acts are condemned one hundred percent of the time.

… Huh.

When I’m marching with my fellow asexuals in the Pride Parade this year, I’ll have to let them know that we were wrong and apparently everyone is asexual and just in the closet.

The more you know, I guess.

It’s interesting that the concept of “sexual orientation” is based strongly upon one’s feelings. How does one know that one is gay?

Step one: Feel a sexual attraction to someone who identifies as the same gender as you do.

Step two: Go “oh”.

Step three: Go to the official Gay License Center to receive your complementary rainbow flag and gender-appropriate revealing outfit.

Conventional wisdom says because of the way one feels.

~FEELINGS! NOTHING MORE THAN FEELINGS!~

Numerous are the individuals who have said, “I’ve felt that I was gay since I was a child.” But if one felt that he or she was a squirrel, would that qualify as proof that one was justified in risking life and limb by climbing trees and eating only nuts? The entire concept is nuts and symptomatic of a postmodernist relativity out of control.

Are you secretly vegan? Because that’s the farthest I’ve seen someone go for a bad pun outside of vegan cookbooks and Sadly, No! comment threads.

The Bible often speaks about feelings, thoughts, and urges.

Our feelings don’t have the queer cooties your feelings have, NYAH!

And what are such but emotions and processes of the intellect that 2 Corinthians 10:5 commands must be brought in subjection to Christ’s Lordship.

Jesus said, “From within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man ‘unclean,'” (Mark. 7:20-23). Here Jesus describes a “sinful orientation” that is the inner nature of every person and demonstrates itself in outward behaviors unacceptable with God – acts that estrange a person from God.

…Obviously. That’s just like… what just jumps out of the page there.

If this is the best you can do without “homosexuality is a choice, go to our abuse factory to get ‘fixed'” to go on anymore…? Yeah, I’d be sweating too.

The apostle James forewarned about arguments like “sexual orientation” saying they are the same as blaming God for evil.

Because why bother addressing The Problem with Evil when you can sidestep it entirely?

It appears similar arguments were apparent even in his day. He wrote, “When tempted no one should say, ‘God is tempting me.’ For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed” (James. 1:13-14). To blame homosexuality on heredity is no less than to blame the Creator for one’s failure – an argument which is unconscionable.

Because…?

I mean, hey, you’re the one who wants to go around claiming God is our celestial mechanic, personally responsible for “designing” us from the ground up. You don’t get to then flip around and pull the guilt card when we start to notice the engine is actually a herd of sheep and the wheels are only held on by blue painter’s tape.

If the product is shoddy and you’re claiming sole responsibility, then guess what jack, you dun fucked up there.

To those who would contend the Bible is silent about “sexual orientation,” let it be said this is because no such notion is based in truth. It is a broad term developed in modern times to provide credence for the growing number of sexual perversions. Even the polygamists and the pedophiles want to get on board.

… Do you want to tell him or should I?

There is one final point that also ought to be noted. Chambers said something in his apology quite telling. He said regarding the convictions that he and his wife hold: “Our beliefs do not center on ‘sin’ because ‘sin’ isn’t at the center of our faith.” [5] This author begs to disagree with that point of view. Unfortunately, without a clear understanding of sin, there is no need for faith – no need for Christ – no need for a Savior – no meaning to grace.

Central to the message of Christianity is that all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glorious ideal for life (Romans. 3:23). Apart from repentance, the remission of sin, and the grace of God in Jesus Christ to transform a life to live according to God’s standards, the Gospel becomes no more than a soppy code of self-help. What distinguishes it from any other religion or moral force is its promise that Christ suffered, died and rose again not simply to eliminate sin’s shame and condemnation, but also to remove its power.

To water down this message with outside worldly, unbiblical influences, is to risk the loss of Christian identity and collapse, which is exactly what happened to Exodus International.

Which is why, in order to illustrate this most central of Christ’s messages, you had to turn to the bitter rantings of a repressed homosexual whose letters were smashed onto the end of the New Testament section in order to give bigots like you something to point to when you needed someone who also sounded like a B. Daniel Blatt tormented by his own “God-given” sexuality (which is wrong to have, but God doesn’t make mistakes).

Indeed this is a landmark event.

Indeed it is.

As is the twin Supreme Court decisions.

And so have so many moments in the last handful of years where it has truly felt like long-delayed gay rights have actually been culminating and becoming real, as in supported legally and socially by the system.

There is definitely more work to do and despite the exodus (heh) of the anti-gay groups, there are still plenty of motivated bigots out there just waiting to move on to the “next big thing” in terms of resisting LGBT rights. But it’s an incredibly optimistic time and I feel good about the kids who will be first exploring this community during this summer and how they may very well simply feel loved and accepted by society without the hemming and hawing that has defined our community’s reactions with the world for so many decades.

And that fills my heart to think of…

Er… uh… insert fart joke here?

And every Christian denomination, church, church school or university, organization and ministry, should take note with fear and trembling. Exodus International took flight from its own promised land of deliverance and exists no more.

I’d have sympathy for your fear of how you have been left behind if you hadn’t deliberately chosen to be left behind. Waved your hands wide in eager celebration in just how much you wanted to resist history’s cruel liberal-loving arc. Fought to the death to keep everyone else stuck back here in the sticks with you until we left you behind.

And even more if you couldn’t at any moment of your choosing, simply stop. Simply stop fighting reality and go “oh, I guess people who aren’t me exist, *shrug*” and all that “pain” would vanish instantly. Or if that pain wasn’t solely based in how upset you are that your bully victim is no longer a nice round bouncy ball you can toss around to make yourself feel superior simply because of accidents of birth that didn’t require any actual messy moral actions.

Or if that pain and fear wasn’t completely imaginary. And I didn’t know that there was no one in hell that my relationship to my partner or my transness or two men kissing and holding hands in any way affected you in a meaningful way.

But sadly, no.

And so instead, I drink deep of these sorrows and retire to the garden to rest and prepare for celebrations of infinite joy and jest, a bingo card full of prides to participate in and be visible for.

And remember that we can have more, so much more, if we keep fighting on.

‘Shorter’ concept created by Daniel Davies and perfected by Elton Beard. It is sometimes amazing to me just how many of the subgroup specific pride events correlates to something I am. We are aware of all Internet traditions.™

FIRST, I want to thank Cerb for the epic, even landmark, post.

“taste those tears!”

Mmm, salty, bitter rage-tears.

“I drink deep of these sorrows”

Salut!

“the ones who have built their tiny little castles entirely on the abuse and mistreatment of a once-hated minority … ”

… and they huffed and they puffed til they blew those tiny little castles down.

Is the concept of “sexual orientation” biblical?

Also non-biblical: The concept of “posting” on “Intertube” “blogs”.

Get off the cross, Dennis, someone could use the wood.

@Smut Clyde

Thank you so much for the link in the last thread. It’s fantastic.

Uh, Laeticia, the term ‘homosexual agenda’ should be made fun off at all times, as it’s as imaginary as a kobold or other mythical creature.

It was made up by anti-gay forces to induce fear and loathing of homosexuals in their target audience, which, sadly, didn’t include the majority of the Justices on the Supreme Court, and therefore should be ridiculed at all times and all places from now on.

Hmm, I woke up this morning and there were no plagues of locusts or rains of blood – I thought this was supposed to bring on the apocalypse.

I recognize Pocahontas, but who’s the other person in that photoshop?

Time for some pie!
Schadenfreude never tasted so good.

It wasn’t Carl that caused transness. It’s just that God, being a good Republican oligarch, outsourced to other pantheons (angels are heavily unionized, it being Heaven and all). And as a result there were some issues with construction to spec and later on some branding confusion.

a problem that does not arise in same-sex unions: that heterosexual sex often gives rise to children

Problem?

… blaming God for evil…. To blame homosexuality on heredity is no less than to blame the Creator for one’s failure – an argument which is unconscionable.

Failure? And is God not omnipotent, even over “evil?”

Yeah, I’m loving me those government benefits.

Oh, wait, you mean other, straight couples already get up to ten thousand dollars less in federal taxes alone than my spouse and I?

There was a couple (unnamed) on the news yesterday who’ll save $96,000 from this. Probably out of things they hold in joint trust, that one spouse was able to deduct and the other wasn’t. Should tell you how broken our tax system is that the penalty for singles was that high.

(Average should be about $6,000, for a couple that one doesn’t pull in an income over $20K and the other makes significantly more.)

A question: I truly enjoy the bitter tears of wingnuggets, but since the last presidential election, I have struggled to manage the supply.

However, yesterday’s batch is particularly fine because the Tear Shed began while they were doing the Bye-bye VRA kickstep. There is also a soupcon of Sad over the Texas Fetal Fetishist Fail.

Normally I dump the tears into an endangered bit of wetland when they get stale, because they do the flora and fauna no end of good, and I know the wingies will be boo-hooing about something else in an hour or so.

But this Shed is very rare. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best way to store them for later consumption?

Many hetero relationships don’t “give rise” [heh] to children. My brother and his wife, for example. My lesbian daughter, however, plans to have children, so SUCK IT, REICHWING. YOUR ARGUMENT IS FAIL.

Hmm, I woke up this morning and there were no plagues of locusts

Maybe the homo teachers got to the locusts and made them too gay to plague??? Crafty, those homos are…

I think I OD’ed on schadenfreude. It’s so sweet and plentiful at freeperville. Also, watching Porno Pete LaBarbera crew turning on their former high priest is pure nectar.

The real reason the Supreme Court decided against Prop 8 is to enshrine a lovely precedent into our system of law: That people cannot sue to have a law enforced.

That’s why they said ‘private citizens’ and ‘never before’. Sure, the Prop 8 supporters had no other standing, but this precedent means that if any law goes unenforced, no private citizen can force its application.

If we have an initiative to save the whales, and the state ignores it? No recourse. At all.

The black god of time

FWIW, the initiative was put into the CA State Constitution under the auspices of Hiram Johnson, a conservative Progressive whose goal was to make it impossible for a Democrat to be elected governor of California, and which worked for a long time.

Prop 8 was funded with a lot of out-of-state money, I would be happy with a ruling that initiatives have to raise all money instate to be valid and defensible by the state in question.

“Well, reason one has to do with me being a terrible person who finds joy in the suffering of terrible people who are struggling with no longer being able to profit their lives on the pain and suffering of those already marginalized.”

There is absolutely nothing out of place with enjoying the “suffering” of the tribe that the blogger Driftglass refers to as “the Pig People,” particularly when their so-called “suffering” is nothing more than history slapping them down for outdated modes of…well, let’s be generous and call it “thinking.”

Oddly enough, I see nothing wrong with self-defense or in punishing those who seek to harm me and mine. Guess I’m a terrible person too.

If we have an initiative to save the whales, and the state ignores it? No recourse. At all.

This just in: Gay people kill whales!!

The SC has a long history of finding what it wants to find. Under the current group, there’s a 50/50 chance your whales are screwed under this hypothetical initiative. 10 years from now? Who knows. 20 years, we’ll all be underwater.

Goodbyeeee!

http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/craft/130626

So, is calling for secession still treason? Or doesn’t it count if the reason they want out is their fear of gay people and their embrace of theocracy? I’m willing to let the people go, wherever there is unclaimed land to build their little Gilead, but they don’t get to take an inch of the soil of the USA. We’re trying to build a country with freedom and justice for all here and they have done nothing but impede that effort. If they want to go, they can go, but they don’t get to build tyranny on these shores. So, good luck on the southern Hebrides or whatever slice of Antarctica you end up sqatting in theocratic squalor on, and don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out.

Dan Blatt’s probably lurking in the Castro district, wearing a trenchcoat and a wide-brimmed hat, furiously masturbating while glaring hatefully at the people partying around him.

Among the nuggets of rationalization Cerb fished out, this one struck me:

They exist to uphold the ideal that children need the mother and father who created them to stay in a stable relationship together.

So they’re admitting that adoption, one of those things they’re fond of telling those sluttyslutsluts who dared to enjoy (heterosexual*) sex to do instead of abortion**, is something they also regard as Not Right.

*Since the number of accidental pregnancies resulting from homosexual sex must be vanishingly small, and ignoring for the moment the heartbreaking decision to abort based on fetal/maternal health or changes in situation.

**Since abortion is flouting God’s Will and all, because while (certain) other uses of our intelligence (fire, plumbing, medicine, the internet) are A-OK, abortion is beyond the pale because a) every blastocyst is sacred (and we’ll ignore spontaneous abortions), b) it’s God’s punishment on you for your slutty femaleness, c) … I don’t know, these oeople are nuts, and need counseling.

The black god of time

Yep, Dennis, Cerb acts like she’s an administrator or writer for this blog. How dare she delete Laeticia’s somewhat incoherent and nonsensical request.

Thanks for pointing that out for us.

For those not in the know, Laeticia has been trolling this place for a long time.

Also, as to the secessionists, HAHAHAHA squirm little whingnut squirm!

Hey, I just found a clue to the h8ers’ seeming obsession with bestiality. Don’t know how I managed to miss it for so long. “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house, wife, slave, ox or donkey” (Ex. 20:17).

Explains a lot, really.

Personally, I don’t give a shit if something’s Biblical. Slavery is Biblical, few chrissakes.

Yeah, what’s with those folks? If one had a nasty, cynical mind, one might suspect that their insistence on (carefully chosen) quotes from (a certain translation of) the religious writings of a certain group of bronze/iron age desert nomads were cover for something they want to do anyway.

It is truly astonishing that God hates EXACTLY the same people and things they hate. Well, ignoring all the things that god said he hates but which they are fine with. Also ignoring that god hates a lot of things that they do. And …

HAHAHAHAHAHA
Also PENIS. POOP and such as. Too.

New Post BTW.

And hey Pup, what rule of Cerb’s did Laeticia break in order to get her two posts deleted?

Good question. Could have been the ‘disingenuous fraud’ or ‘infield fly’ rule. Hard to say at this point.

It’s freakishly bizarre that she deleted her posts, DA.

.As a long-time and extensive viewer of liberal blogs

You have never had an occasion to show Quasar-levels of butthurt until now.

I’ve never seen that level of liberal fascism, especially with one gay blogger to another gay commenter.

Yes, I’m sure we’re not the librul site you visit on comment on during company time. Thanks for confirming that you’re stealing time from your employer on the iPhone instead of adding value to the company you supposedly work for.

Just really, really weird seeing as how inoffensive and benign it was.

Take it up with Cerb, instead of leaving weaselly, cowardly comments about it on her blog, which in a way of speaking is her property. I thought conservatives like you had an almost sacred regard for property. Does that respect leave you when someone deletes comments you didn’t make in the first place?

Less than 3 hours to go. Don’t trample anyone on the way out tonight, por favor.

I just saw this

During his remarks, the Texas governor also described Davis’ filibuster as “hijacking of the Democratic process” and said of the pro-choice movement, “the louder they scream, the more we know that we are getting something done.”

Over at Digby , which she got from Think Progress .

My first thought, in addition to my usual “Gov Goodhair sure is dumb as a stump,” was “that sounds like a rapist to me.” Furthermore, one who is proud of it, and sees nothing wrong with it.

Cleaned up the Dennis and Becky two-person show as they are both quite quite banned.

ZOMG I just realized “Dennis” IS actor212 or vicey versy, still nursing a grudge against Cerb for when we called him out for being a boor.

The black god of time

Cerb is not to be disagreed with when it comes to revenge, vindictiveness or her beloved schadenfreude that she’s dependent on.

Projection: It doesn’t just happen in theatres.

Dennis, I have no idea how many words, paragraphs, etc. Cerb has deleted of mine. Would you do me a favor and have a figure by 5:00 PM your time today? And remember to attach a TPS cover sheet. You were at the last hot tub session, right?

The black god of time

Less than 2 hours, Dennis. Have a good workday.

The black god of time

Yeah, Ron Livingstone and Jennifer Aniston really rocked that movie, didn’t they?

Bozo the Cocksucker

As a homosexual, I believe faggots are subhuman. Furthermore,

Bozo the Cocksucker

As a homosexual, I am perfectly placed to judge whether or not faggots deserve the same rights as normals, and it is clear to me that we don’t, because we’re faggots.

Bryan Fischer delivers this tasty bit of schadenfreude pie (also too jim: ahem):

Observers have yet to recognize the obvious: the liberal justices on the Supreme Court are a batch of homophobic bigots who harbor malice in their hearts toward homosexuals.

That’s the first sentence, and the rest is a wild ride as fun and dizzying as the best roller coaster.

Cerb, I mostly lurk, but you have been in my thoughts recently, mostly because as a bi person I have become involved in Pride and realized how absent trans* people are from the celebration, and how lacking they are, in many ways, in reasons to celebrate. I know this decision doesn’t fix your life but you’re the first person I thought of when I heard the news. I care so much about you as an intellectual, as a speaker I hold in high esteem, that I’ve moved far past just enjoying your intellectual display and I want, badly, for you to be happy – to know the world as fully as you know it, to see it as clearly as you see it, and to have reason to be fully happy.

On a tangentially related note, I had to explain your above ‘shop to my coworkers the other day as it was featured prominently on my screen during lunch hour mango hunting. I stated, “Well, it’s from a blog post about homosexuality, prostitution, and landscape architecture.” Everyone was quite impressed.

Also…Pennis is rilly rilly riled, ain’t he?

The Very Reverend Battleaxe of Knowledge

I just felt I had to shake myself out of my lethargy enough to at least congratulate everyone here whose life will be affected by this decision and some of whom have worked so hard to see this day come—imperfect as it may be.

I say that, but of course all of our lives are affected every time that arc bends toward justice a little more. This is what I run into with some of my friends acquaintances—they can’t be arsed giving a crap about anything that doesn’t hurt them directly.

I have to admit the same mixed feelings as Cerberus about the apology from Exodus. I hate them—really, really hate them—but it is almost unprecedented in this day and age to see a malefactor offer a real, honest to Zeus apology! I just can’t wrap my mind around the way these people’s minds work. Full disclosure: I’m completely hetero—a Kinsey 0 as near as I can tell. It’s obvious to me that I was born this way. I don’t remember sitting down one day with my head resting on my hand like Rodin’s Thinker and “choosing” a “lifestyle”. Apparently these anti-gay wingers do remember such a scene in their own lives…and I’ll leave the psychological diagnoses for those better qualified.

I hope this is the beginning of the end for the “ex-gay” therapy industry. Since I was born the way I am, I can’t imagine that everybody else wasn’t also born the way they are. I couldn’t “change” to save my life—literally—so why would I imagine that anyone else can? It just boggles my mind that anyone could think so.

Besides, after the Queer Takeover™, when we’re all sent to reeducation camps, they’ll get their own back, so there’s that….

The black god of time

But, but, Cerb deleted 2 commenst from a gay librul! The sky is falling!

I before E, except after C, or when sounded as “AY” as in “Ay mate, you don’t really understand what a snark blog is, do ya?”

The black god of time

And the snark blog defense for denying overt hatred and liberal bigotry is a weasel defense.

The meat is so tasteless, and in such small portions!

The black god of time

Your comments here do more to discredit conservatism than I could if I wrote 5,000 words here.

Keep posting here so that people can see what morons conservatives can be, Denny-Boo-Boo.

The black god of time

Dennis, all you are is a put-down artist with a dead sister.

The black god of time

I’m sorry, I should be trying to build up your credentials, not joke about them.

Yes, Dennis, you are a sorry example of humanity.

Maybe I’ll write on my blog about dry drunk conservatives who welch on their bets, as an example of conservative hypocrisy.

I’m sorry you’ll never be invited to the hot tub here, Dennis. But your whining comments will continue to get deleted, to the delight of many of the commentators and lurkers here.

Stay off the iPhone and try to get some production done today, Dennis.

Keep commenting here on your employers’ time to demonstrate what great, upright, morally perfect folks a conservative can be when he/she sets his/her mind to it.

Have a good 15 minutes, cowboi.

The black god of time

Dennis, I’m sorry you’re so obsessed about my being a contributor here, but perhaps I’ll write about how you called me out of nowhere to tell me about your dead sister.

Dennis Gene Butthurt

I’m important! I’ve been at my present position for almost two years! You couldn’t understand my job if it was described in 5 pages, single-spaced!

Oh, who am I fooling? I’m just another cubicle serf.

You think it’s easy, being a friend to a dry drunk who used to beat his children?

Anyone know where I can buy a pressure cooker?

I called you because you were hurt at a comment someone made one day at OW’s blog and announced that you were leaving the blog.

Your first lie, Dennis.

You called me up to say that you were impressed that I could point out the features in a photo that Ollie used of a Teabagger seemed to indicate that it wasn’t photoshopped, as you implied it might be.

Why would you worry about me leaving the blog, anyway?

This was after you had posted your full name on that blog along with an article in the Recorder quoting you on the upcoming midterm election with you as the President of the local Dem Club, and I called the number listed for that club, to tell you not to be offended by anything anyone says on a blog

Nope, that wasn’t in the conversation, Dennis. I did post accidentally under my real name, but I never posted the article in the Distorter to Ollies’ site.

And I told you on the first sentence that if you were uncomfortable with the call or my intentions, that I’d hang up right then and there.

Liar.

Apparently you were so offended you talked for twenty minutes and thanked me for calling and told me to start a blog that you promised to support if I did.

Nope, I asked you why you never started a blog, and you said it was too much trouble to do so.

But you had a card to play, so you did. And I never called again, but for some reason you keep playing that same card after three years to justify your calling my house 45 times now, even though I’ve never picked your desperate calls up. Ignoring you drives you that much more crazy and obsessed.

I’m sorry, Dennis, you’re the one who gets your comments here deleted and you still feel the need to come after me, using whatever I’ve posted elsewhere in doing so.

You’re a low-life skunk, DA.

You’re someone who steals time from your employer to post here, Dennis.

Don’t you ever worry one day, that after you hit the submit comment button, that your boss will come in the door and say that he has to have a talk with you about your use of company time for non-company purposes?

What will you tell your lovely wife when you come home earlier than usual, and have to say that you’ve lost yet another job, this time because of your obsessive need to reply to my posts here?

Thanks for demonstrating what a weaselly, twisted moronic conservative sounds like, Den-Den.

BTW

Have a nice life, Dennis.
