A freshly painted school? What about a new hospital too? What about education here in our own country? Where is that? I think it;s wrong to take over other countries just so US corps can enslave more people into the sweat shop trade. I’m sure Iraqi’s will enjoy sewing together walmart clothes for 20 cents an hour. Not one Bush family cronie is in the military but oh so ready to send someone else……freshly painted school indeed !!!!

Don’t forget this was BEFORE he was president and the main goal was to INSURE the hostages were not released until AFTER the election.

Often forgotten: conservative-hero Reagan provided ARMS to the Iranians *after* they held Americans hostage. Iran-contra wasn’t just appeasement, it was a treasonous act that sent the message to the Iranians that the US (or at least Republicans) would cut a deal to their benefit in secret.

How do you suppose that’s helping us NOW? If the liberals in this country had a talk-radio system like the right-wing has, there woudl be daily repetition of the point that conservative republicans betrayed the country to appease Iranian Islamic fundamentalists — after they took Americans hostage.

It’s worth repeating.

Bush & Cheney are busy going to CLOSED fundraising events, where the hard-core Bushistas (rich AND stupid, what a great combination!) are still betting on the Repubs to diebold enough votes to keep a narrow majority. But many, many Repub candidates — including those incumbent Repubs who couldn’t get enough face time with Dear Leader just a couple of years ago — won’t let voters see them in the same photo with Bush or Cheney now. After six years, normal people are tired of hearing the Cheney administration blame everything from 9/11 to unsightly nose hair on Clinton. So even the Repubs are edging away from Bush, because they may be lazy, venal, and sanctimonious but they’re not ALL bone-stupid (unlike most wingnuts).

Look, the moment the Democrats gain control of either the house or senate, Osama will call Nancy Pelosi in order to negotiate America’s surrender.
