Well, that was kind of kind of close
The Koufax Awards results are in… and Sadly, No! is way out.
Congratulations to all the winners.

Screw this graceful loser stuff. I say DEATH TO THE WINNERS! Come the revolution, the streets will run red with the ink from your color printers! And we, the lumpen also-rans, will divide up your readers, your collectible merchandise, and your numerous prestigious awards.

That’s the spirit!

I think you are WAY funnier than Tbogg so there. Does Tbogg have a funny title? Sadly, No.

Hey, you might not have won but at least you were nominated. Some of us are so far below the radar that we don’t even get that honour. For that matter, some of us are so far below the radar that we don’t even get put on the blogrolls of some of the high and mighty lefty bloggers even though we sport numerous battle scars earned in clashes with right whingers. Why, it’s enough to make some of us want to start campaigning for four more years of Bush/Cheney. Don’t mind me, I’m just bitter about being snubbed by every single blog award this year. So, s.z., when do we start the revolution?

Yeah, I probably have no chance of ever being nominated for anything unless they start a category for “Least Original Content.”

Show us the scars Bob (may we call you Bob?,) and we shall get our corporate slave (World O’Crap) to add you to her blogroll.

As long as you have a dream Frederick, you can achieve anything!

The only way I’ll win is if the category is “Blogs that describe the nasty ass things that are pulled out of drains”. Don’t worry, Frederick, at least my content is original, if boring and disgusting, so we won’t be competing. :)

Don’t forget “Best Single Issue Blog” for the best coverage of the impact of the falling dollar on yarn imports from the UK.

Speaking of which, did you just see what happened to the dollar just this week? It’s horrible. I’m going to vote for whoever can make the dollar stronger. You can’t expect me to actually pay http://www.theknittinggarden.com prices for Rowan yarn, can you?

The rumor I’ve heard, Gail, is that you, as an attractive urban bear with large breasts, are threatening to maul the Wampum people unless they institute a “Best Blog by a Large Carnivore” category. Any truth to that?
Gail said,

Well, it really depends on how you define “maul” and “threaten”.
I think I found the remains of some of the Wampum people in my shower drain.

Well, I guess that’s the end to poor Mary Beth’s candidacy. :-(

Hey, I’ll have you know that I’ve been banned from posting in quite a number of right whinge blogs. Apparently right whingers don’t like it when you come to their sites armed with the truth.

OK, guys, mantra for Koufax 2004: WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER.
