Goldstein’s you-talked-about-my-child move is a strong one, but it’s a move nonetheless, made by a person who likes to play the game… hard. He’s not a victim. He’s one of the people who has advanced himself in the blogosphere by making it hostile and ugly. Like all of us, he is capable of being hurt by a genuine crazy. But why not just delete the trolls? Why rile them?Some of them really aren’t playing with a full deck. Why push weak people until they lose control? It’s an ugly game, and I think Jeff knows he plays it.

Hell, he oughta start paying her.

As much as it pains me to admit it, Goldstein was in the right in that whole episode. Althouse, true to form, refused in the face of overwhelming evidence to acknowledge she had made a mistake. You’ll notice also that in pointing out the Goldstein matter she points to a post where she relished in Thers’s troubles. Her and Thers have a history over an incident similar to her and Goldstein’s.

What she got right was that Goldstein & Frisch deserve each other. That’s all I meant by the link. Well that and it’s funny to link to her wrt Goldstein because he hates her for making fun of his first Peehole Media blogjam — hence the great projectionist’s whine that she is carrying a grudge.

I disavow any and all other endorsement of Ann Althouse.

2. Frisch politely (!) asks Goldstein to delete the offending link.

You allowed someone to post a picture of me at home. Given the many, many threats I have received from your fans, this is not acceptable. I perceive it as a physical threat.
