Ruh-Roh, Breitbart’s Boy Reporter Has Race Issues

Posted at 20:43 by D. Aristophanes

It appears that ACORN-scourge and Andrew Breitbart boy ward James O’Keefe ran into some trouble at college over his alleged use of racial slurs and Stormfront-esque attitude towards non-whites and gays who had the effrontery to be assigned to live on his dormitory floor. Oh, and he also has a pretty nasty habit of palling around with racists, including American Renaissance founder Jared Taylor and random-black-woman-karate-chopper Marcus Epstein.

Hardly shocking to followers of his work, but it’s nice to see O’Keefe’s skeletons displayed for all to see, courtesy of Max Blumenthal and the One People’s Project.

Now the ball is in the court of Breitbart and his apologists (Patterico, we’re looking at you). Having seen this sort of thing play out before, we’ve put together a handy-dandy flow chart for how the ‘James O’Keefe: Total Fucking Racist’ scandal is likely to play out in the wingnutosphere over the coming days:

    INITIAL STAGE

PHASE ONE: Ignore, Ignore, Ignore ->

    BUYING TIME STAGE

PHASE TWO: Demand Nobody Speak Until ‘All The Facts Are In’ ->
PHASE THREE: Sputterings About ‘Hatchet Job’/'Character Assassination’/'Partisan Agenda’ ->
PHASE FOUR: Float ‘Youthful Indiscretions’ and/or ‘Obama-Rev. Wright=Lefty Hypocrisy’ Angles ->

    COUNTER-ATTACK STAGE

PHASE FIVE: Kerners Are Go! Mission: Discredit Blumenthal, OPP ->
PHASE SIX: ‘Real Scandal’ Is Minor Clerical Error In MSNBC’s Follow-up On Blumenthal/OPP Reporting ->
PHASE SEVEN: Declare Victory ->

    LONG-TERM STRATEGY STAGE

PHASE EIGHT: Diligently Scrub Wikipedia Of References To Scandal ->
PHASE NINE: Prefer Simple Reboot Of PHASE ONE In Face Of Future Challenges To PHASE SEVEN Dogma, But If Absolutely Necessary Cite PHASE SIX Findings With Patronizing Sneer

The O’Keefe-stone Cops caper reminds of nothing less than the Republican Party in general. The last eight years under Bush in particular.

Their Telephone Box Break-in was just as incompetently conceived and executed as Afghanistan and Iraq.

And this is exactly what the country and the world has to look forward to all over again, the next time these incompetents are in power.

    From the Max Blumenthal article,

“The photo, first published Jan. 30 on the Web site of the anti-racism group One People’s Project, shows O’Keefe at the gathering, which was so controversial even the ultra-right Leadership Institute, which employed O’Keefe at the time, withdrew its backing. But O’Keefe and fellow young conservative provocateur Marcus Epstein soldiered on to give anti-Semites, professional racists and proponents of Aryanism an opportunity to share their grievances and plans to make inroads in the GOP.”

If true, interesting and very unusual. The GOP pretty much jettisoned their support for the old-school Charles Coughlin type racists a while ago in favor of a very pro-Israel position, the party line now being that the Jews and the people of God and can do no wrong (see Israel). That resulted in these guys branching off into their own far right branch, which directs its hate at the “mainstream” right-wing (the Republican Party, Christian fundamentalists) almost as often as towards “the liberals,” “the government” and “secular humanism.”

If the old-school Christian Identity types are trying to make inroads into the Republican Party, I’m skeptical that they’ll go very far. The rift seems too deep.

So its February otherwise known as “black history month.” Seems like the blacks aint satisfied they are now equal with whites, now they want special privledges and entitlements.

Can you image the leftist outrage if their was a white history month, or a white entertainment television? The PC brigades and naacp would be shouting racism.

Discrimination goes both ways you know. Only these days it seems most of the discrimination is being directed towards whites.

Ill give you an example. Yesterday morning I was visiting my 77 year old grandmother for a cup of coffee. She was watching the Tyra Banks show. Their was this black fella on saying he went to a majority white college and was pleased to find a black woman on campus.

Can you imagine if the situtation were reversed and it were a white man on the show who went to a majority black college and said he was glad he found a white woman on the campus? He would’ve been kicked off the stage as a racist. It would be all over the news.

But I guess its fine since discrimination against whites is offically sanctioned by the federal government.

Carp are variable in terms of angling value.

    * In Europe, even when not fished for food, they are eagerly sought by anglers, being considered highly prized coarse fish that are difficult to hook.[5] The UK has a thriving carp angling market.
    * In the United States, the carp is also classified as a rough fish as well as damaging naturalized exotic species but with sporting qualities.

Trout is a number of species of freshwater and saltwater fish belonging to the Salmoninae subfamily of the Salmonidae family. Salmon belong to some of the same genera as trout but, unlike most trout, most salmon species spend almost all their lives in salt water. Trout are classifed as an oily fish.[1]

The word trout is also used as part of the name of some non-salmonid fish such as Cynoscion nebulosus, the spotted seatrout or speckled trout.

Understanding how moving water shapes the stream channel will improve your chances of finding trout. In most streams, the current creates a Riffle-Run-Pool pattern that repeats itself over and over. A deep pool may hold a big brown trout, but rainbows and smaller browns are likely found in runs. Riffles are where you will find small trout, called troutlet, during the day and larger trout crowding in during morning and evening feeding periods.

    * Riffles have a fast current and shallow water. This gives way to a bottom of gravel, rubble or boulder. Riffles are morning and evening feeding areas. Trout usually spawn just above or below riffles, but may spawn right in them.

    * Runs are deeper than riffles with a moderate current and are found between riffles and pools. The bottom is made up of small gravel or rubble. These hot spots hold trout almost anytime, if there is sufficient cover.

    * Pools are smoother and look darker than the other areas of the stream. The deep, slow-moving water generally has a bottom of silt, sand, or small gravel. Pools make good midday resting spots for medium to large trout.[3]

    * It is recommended that when fishing for trout, that the fisher(s) should use line in the 4-8 lb test for streamfish, and stronger line with the same diameter for trout from the sea or from a large lake, such as Lake Michigan. It is also recommended to use a hook size 8-5 for trout of all kind. Trout also find salmon eggs, worms, minnows, cut bait, or corn attractive with corn and the occasional marshmallow especially attractive to farm raised trout.

A muskellunge (Esox masquinongy), also known as a muskelunge, muscallonge, milliganong, or maskinonge (and often abbreviated “muskie” or “musky”), is a large, relatively uncommon freshwater fish of North America. Muskellunge are the largest member of the pike family, Esocidae. The name comes from the Ojibwe word maashkinoozhe, meaning “ugly pike”, by way of French masque allongé (modified from the Ojibwe word by folk etymology), “elongated mask.”[citation needed] The French common name is masquinongé or maskinongé.

Muskellunge are known by a wide variety of trivial names including Ohio muskellunge, Great Lakes muskellunge, barred muskellunge, Ohio River pike, Allegheny River pike, jack pike, unspotted muskellunge and the Wisconsin muskellunge.

Not really, one of their sources, Weigel, posted that the stories are true. He should know, he’s named in the story as being there in 2006 and seeing O’Keefe at the table.

  330. Dennis said,

    February 4, 2010 at 17:19

Hey actor. Was just going to post a link on your blog about the Air Force being so conservative that they gave Pagans, Druids and Wiccans their own special place to worship on their grounds. But then I also saw where someone took it upon themselves to place a cross in the ground at the site, so skipped posting it there.

Anyway, this story seems to have a lot of holes in it and not well resourced by Blumenthal, and that should be the minimum requirement when someone like him makes a racist charge, otherwise he only cheapens the epithet when he says it. Not sure the charge of ‘racist’ can have any less meaning now after the frequency of use of it the last two years, but it should still require real substance other than attending a meeting.

    Here’s what’s at Weigel’s blog:

Apparently, the One People’s Project is citing me as a corroborating source on the event — but there are aspects of their story I can’t confirm. While their photo of O’Keefe is definitely from the event, I took it on the photographer’s word that O’Keefe was pictured “as he maintained a literature table near the panelists.” I can personally confirm that he was there, but not that he was manning the table — nor that O’Keefe “planned” the event (as Blumenthal put it) with Marcus Epstein, who was president of the Robert Taft Club

  336. actor212 said,

    Dennis,

    *Ahem*

The Taylor appearance was buffeted by controversy and moved, at the last minute, to a location a few blocks away from its original location near the Clarendon metro stop in Virginia. It was strange enough to draw out people like me and a photographer for the One People’s Project, who snapped pictures of the attendees, wrote a report — and then, unfortunately, had most of the photos seized by the FBI. A zoomed-in headshot of James O’Keefe (after the jump), then working for the Leadership Institute, survived, although it cropped out the table he was sitting at, covered in controversial literature. O’Keefe’s position at the Leadership Institute gave him some ownership of the event, but in general the crowd consisted of conservatives and libertarians who wanted to see some controversy, some fireworks — not so much of people who agreed with Taylor.

    (By David Weigel 2/3/10 12:06 PM )

That’s a three point takedown in wrestling, Sub.

Grade school humor, actor; so maybe a 3 pointer at the junior wrestling league level.

I don’t know James O’Keefe from Adam and he doesn’t interest me enough to take the time to read about his background or whether or not he’s a racist, but I don’t think an accurate story has been written here and what has been written doesn’t seem to have a lot of corroboration. Even Weigel looks poor in this story. I’ll admit if I’m wrong, actor, I have no problem with that. I just don’t see it.

Even D. Aristophanes is posting on Weigel’s blog looking for more information to set the record straight.

At this point, it’s making everyone involved in the reporting look unprofessional.

O’Keefe’s position at the Leadership Institute gave him some ownership of the event”. ??? C’mon, actor, and I mean this as a compliment, you’re better than that. Emboldening it doesn’t make that specious statement look any more legitimate, either.

  340. actor212 said,

    February 4, 2010 at 18:35

    That was Weigel’s own assessment.

You know, the guy you used to refute the story?

What’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Weigel is clearly maintaining that not only was O’Keefe comforable enough to sit at that table, but he was likely involved in the decision to include them.

If you follow the link I posted, Weigel also goes on to praise Blumenthal’s article as a background of O’Keefe’s other racist activities, even if he dismisses them as teenage rowdiness or some such abnormity.

Make no mistake: O’Keefe is a bigot, as Blumenthal’s article and Weigel both admit, and O’Keefe was not only at the meeting, but he did man a table with hate literature on it. He was not casually sitting there because his feet hurt.

  341. Dennis said,

No, we can say pretty clearly that he’s a racist. He has a history that’s easy to look up, with all the standard campus conservative mayhem.

In this instance, one group says they say him distributing racist literature. I dunno who OPP is, but I know for sure that O’Keefe’s a liar. I don’t have a problem believing OPP out of the blue over O’Keefe and Breitbart (who is himself a complete fucking lunatic).
