Well, Dash got blasted out of bed this morning by a fire alarm, but a happy day may yet be possible – I think we’ll be taking a trip to Babies R Us at some point today.
Thanks for the lovely video, DA. And hope things improve for your mom.
Thanks, all. Hey, update – not a health thing with me ma by the way, more general frustration expressed in a long conversation abetted, I suspect, by several glasses of wine. Tough to know – it’s a long trip up from the basement.
But for the fact that my family are largely a bunch of seriously melanin challenged Ashkenazim — with those hairstyles and those clothes — that would be any picture of my relatives taken in the mid/late 1970s.
I wonder if there are any pictures of my inlaws looking like that? Nah … my inlaws are too smart to have succumbed to that style.

Sweet. I haven’t heard that in ages.
Here’s one that usually sets my perspective dial back to the right setting.
And the oddest mix of it that I’ve run across. Sounds like the same tracks, even.

Good gospel music *almost* makes me want to be a Christian.

D. A., hope all is well or will be soon for you & your peeps. And Gavin, Dash & Marita too! Cycle of life, blah-de-yada, etc.
Used to have a reggae version of “Oh Happy Day.” Not that dissimilar from the original.
Just the visual at justme’s first link will reset your dial.

My regards to Mrs Mommy DA… and Dash of course, S,N’s most precocious talent.
IMNSHO, Aretha Franklin singing Amazing Grace is the nuts when it comes to any music, gospel or otherwise.

Religion is like opera – the plot makes no sense unless you sing it.

Oh Happy Day. A picture of Dash. The “Fire truck! Fire truck! Fire truck!” piece. It’s a great morning.

MB, Sorry bout the pic on that, but the other yootoob of the tune had the audio removed, making it a bit pointless.

So much hair!
It’s autumn, so it’s sometimes difficult to keep the blues away.
The song that always warms this bastard’s heart (I have posted this before), is this classic. I defy anyone to not smile when they hear it.
