Why Am I Not Surprised?

Posted at 16:08 by Brad

How is this any different from his current job at FOX News?

With a few personnel shifts going on in the White House, there’s speculation that presidential spokesman Scott McClellan may be looking to step down.

One of the people the White House has approached as a possible replacement for McClellan is FOX News Radio host Tony Snow. The White House discussed the possibility with Snow as recently as this week.

The big question is, “Who replaces Tony Snow?” I hear Jeff Gannon is still looking for work. He may not have Tony’s experience, but eight inches uncut can’t be overlooked…

UPDATE: Atrios notes this quote from CNN’s John Roberts about what qualities a good White House press secretary should have:

Be willing to take it full in the face every day.

Jeffster, this sounds right up your alley…

I bet that Bush gives Tony the nickname “Snowjob”. It’s Tony Snow with your Daily Snowjob! Nah, it couldn’t be that easy.

Whereas Scotty’s alley is in the Montrose, west of downtown Austin.

Oh, but JimJeffy’s a top, and no matter how many uncut inches a boy may have, it’s obvious that press secretary is a job for a bottom boy.

If only they could talk Helen Thomas into wearing five inch latex platform heels, they’d really expand the potential job applicant pool.

I can just picture the casting conversations at the producer’s- er, Rove’s office: “Tony Blankley? Nah, too smelly. Mustn’t make the press corp visibly gag. John Gibson? Ehhh… Too rodent.”

Thanks, Jillian–I may not eat today after that image.

Given the “servicing” he just got from the NYT, what about DR for Press Secretary?

I hear Ben Domenech is looking for work…

Is it plagiarism if you simply repeat the same talking point over and over and over and over and over no matter what the question is?

“We’re not going to play the ‘blame game’ while there is an ‘ongoing investigation’ during a ‘war on terror’. Next question?”

I thought that Jeff Gannon would have dissolved into the last drooling stages of a meth addiction by now. I figured he would have gone down like the Anthony Michael Hall of right-wing journalism . . .

I figured he would have gone down like the…

    Uh… nevermind.

I read the first line of this post and thought you were talking about Scooty already. He’s working for Fox News now isn’t he?

I bet that Bush gives Tony the nickname “Snowjob”.

    Or maybe “Snowball.”

What a gift to lefty blogging Snow would be! Who’d have thought they could have topped the McClellatron 3000?

Just dropped in from QandO to read your apology to Ms. Malkin and the other wingnuts. Expecting integrity from a site that mentions Atrios positively seems a stretch. Sure enough, no apology. Move along, nothing here to see…Yeah, that sure as hell is correct.

S,N! in fact has so little integrity, notherbob2 just has to hang around here! Ha HA!

Thanks for playing, notherbob2. We have some lovely parting gifts.

They make it too easy. the right couldn’t pick up irony if you gave them a magnet.

“Be willing to take it full in the face every day.”

    take what?

    1) A load of jizz?

    2) An uncut horsecock?

    …I suspect both.
