Bobblespeak for a Sunday
For those who missed it, Bobblespeak delivers the goods on today’s Meet the Press:
Gregory: can the US still be the best in manufacturing?
[Google CEO Eric] Schmidt: yes we can lead the world in blogging, tweeting, and LOLCATs. [...]Gregory: can you still make money in America?
[Caterpillar CEO Jim] Owens: sadly no
It’s almost like it was written by for us.

Too much to hope that 150 democratic congressmen and 30 democratic senators show up at Dr. Tiller’s funeral. After all, he merely defended thousands of women’s rights to choice in their lives, instead of those who were sitting on their hands a thousand miles away sniffing at the ‘unseemliness’ of his profession.

Eee-yuck. I don’t even want to look.
On a semi-serious note (oh, sure) if we want to panic (I could use the adrenaline) there may be more serious things than election setbacks coming. Wing-nut narrative as to the illegitimacy of the election & Obama’s presidency, from birth surf-i-ticket to magic brainwashing & “the media hoodwinking of the voters” (+ skin tone nervousness: Some of them would be having fits if Colin Powell had been elected on the “Bomb Iran & Torture The Survivors” ticket) is making more & more of the paranoid (whose fears, while extending well beyond which tool of the [List 'em here] conspiracy is in office this go-round, are certainly ginned up by a non-Brit/Kraut in the W. H.) feel as if it is their patriotic, Constitution-loving, Gawd-fearing duty to kill a few Others for Christ.
Will they wait until the 2010 elections, when any losses can be taken as final proof of, say, “The failure of democracy,” & the right time for insurrection?

We, the rightful voter-sheep-deciders, had no choice but to buy even more guns and ratchet our hate speech from eleven to eleventy-hundred.
It’s a crying shame that we have had to achieve victory by shooting unarmed people in Lutheran churches, but this is a small price to pay (for us).
Also, we are the victims, and it’s all your fault.

Oh, why, as an unfortunate coincidence, of course. That bullet was just haning there in mid-air and Dr. Tiller just happened to walk into that bullet at 186,000 feet per second. No intent necessary.
And of course this will prompt a massive round-up of gun owners. Just like the one that happened after Waco. And Ruby Ridge. And the OKC bombing. And the guy who shot at Clinton’s White House with a semi-automatic. Remember all those mass arrests of gun owners?

Translation ” If we had missed him this time, his family was next. And his congregation is insufficiently bible-thumping enough, they ought to think about that while they are mopping the blood out of the church. No holding protests or memorial plaques.”

The odds of a militant atheist shooting up a church are much better than the odds of someone who lived in Merriam being in Wichita to shoot someone. It should be interesting to see if there is any videotaped proof of the suspect being in the church. Or videotaped proof of him being on the Kansas Turnpike (the entrance/exits should have some video taping going on to spot the car in question). The line between reasonable suspicion and political profiling is blurring with such a quick arrest here.
Someone who was anti-Abortion may have done this. That issue in Wichita is heated, mainly due to the provocations of extremists like Tiller. Obviously, what happened was not right. But Tiller trivialized life by ending it thousands of times and provoked decent citizens with his depraved job. When even the decent are outraged, the fringe will be worse.
There is no good guy here. Tiller has found out what happens when you murder and unfortunately he did not turn back and repent in time. The murderer will find that out too if he doesn’t repent his sins.
And when you look at the tally. There have been 53 million murdered by Abortion. But all the weeping from the left is over the murders of a few so-called Doctors. (And any doctor who does an abortion is violating the Hippocratic oath). Either weep for all or weep for none.
Today’s sad, and so will Tomorrow, since GM is filing for bankruptcy, and another shoe is dropping in the Economic Armageddon that Obama has unleashed on America.
