Bill Pickle, is that you?

We always wonder about this traffic stat. And there it was again, just now.

Bill Pickle, US Senate Sergeant at Arms

There must be another explanation for this. …Although truly, there may never be a better occasion to unship the fabled dancing pickle sent to us by the Political Humor guy — and kept in close reserve for fear of its mojo.

[crickets, the sound of wind through the sycamores]

Okay, yeah: That would just be another inside joke gone out of hand. Never mind.

I’d hate to burst your bubble, but I found this blurb:

The Sergeant at Arms is the largest in size of staff and budget in the Senate. It is responsible for all Senate computers and technology support services, recording and photographic services, printing and graphics services, and telecommunications services.

So, would that mean that any Senate computer would have its ISP listed as the Sgt. @ Arms? That’s my read.

    Sounds like it, yeah.

But the idea of Bill Pickle himself checking in is pretty funny. It’s almost worth pretending.

Hey, he was chief of security for that stark-raving moonbat Al Gore during the 2000 election, so you never know!

My personal hope is that it’s a mid-level staffer to Bill Frist.

Hey Mr./Ms. mid-level staffer: I double-dog dare you to spike Fristie’s coffee with chocolate ex-lax prior to a big speech with CSPAN coverage!

We can definitely agree that it’s a Frist staffer.

Actually, I see it about a third of the time when I check stats, so it seems more likely that it’s a few occasional visitors than one super-frequent one.

What you need to do is check the IPs on comments to see if one of the regular (or even irregular) posters is in fact tuning in via a Senate computer. Wouldn’t that be cool?

That looks more like a dancing bannana to me.

No, the guy emailed me a dancing pickle. To counter the dancing-banana energy.

That whole thing was weird. It sort of makes one miss Marie…

I wouldn”t know anything about in-jokes that get out of hand. Three Bulls!s’ humor is very broad and inclusive. Almost Leno-esque.

Gavin, I know what you mean, I still have an empty spot in my heart, lovingly carved out by her stickmen, running around with their heads on fire. *Sigh*
Unblock me Marie, I want to propose a hot reverse oreo threeway with Fee.

“…a hot reverse oreo threeway with Fee.” Fee? Fee Waybill? Tubular.

I’ve heard Ted Kennedy is a fan of the Dancing Banana.

or was that the Golden Banana?

The only thing is that Marie would post a series of dancing tomatoes for, oh, I don’t know, 64 column-inches. (yes, I know she doesn’t actually have the HTML skillz to post pix to comments, so it’d be another cut-and-paste-entire-article-from-World-Nut-Daily special, I’m afraid)

I sent the pickle(s). To be honest, I just thought the pickle was funny. Although, in retrospect, I realize that pickles and bananas are the natural spoilers of each other. I mean, no one would eat a banana product if it contained pickles (and vice versa, I hope). Well… I might try banana/pickle pudding in the same curious/ironic way that I might try garlic ice cream at the Gilroy Festival.

Anyway, I apologize to the politicalhumor blogguy for any pickle-related confusion and/or blowback he may have erroneously received in my stead.

Taiwan President Chen Shui-bian 2nd R, in cream jacket campaigns for his party’s candidate Luo Wen-jia (Engagement Rings, Diamond Engagement Rings), who is running for Taipei County magistrate (rings), in Taipei December One you can then use your money back guarantee to return the diamond ring for a refund
