A simple question
Or maybe many questions come to think of it.
Are any of you know familiar with TownHall? According to its website, it:
… is a one-stop mall of ideas in which people congregate to exchange, discuss and disseminate the latest news and information from the conservative movement.
Furthermore, TownHall seeks to provide:
An interactive, open and honest debate of the issues within the conservative community will help us all in the fight against those who would sacrifice the individual and freedom for political gain and big government.
Which is why we always wonder why Doug Giles’ columns are posted there instead of on one of the countless sites for Z-list conservative no-talents, like The Rant, Renew America, and The Poor Man. Doug writes about Jacques Chirac and Muslims today, so you know it’s going to be extra delicious:
Fourteen days ago riots broke out in Paris suburbs after two Muslim young men, who were running from the cops, stopped and took refuge against the wrong electric fence and got KFC?d. … before BB-testicle French President Jacque Chi-croc … President Chi-coward … the French quail is pissed … indignation towards Chi-caca … Unlike President Chi-runt and the French[.]
If all you’re going to do is yell insults, shouldn’t you at least do it in a way that is intentionally funny? (Just like Dr. BLT writes music that is intentionally bad.)

Pastor Doug is a mean-spirited son-of-a-bitch. Knox Seminary should hang its head in bitter shame that this hate-filled man received theological training there.

My. I love the Christian compassion so evident in the comment describing the electrocution of the young men as being “KFC’d”. Nice.

I believe Doug Giles is also responsible for a seminal fantasy epic?
The weather beaten trail wound ahead into the dust racked climes of the baren land which dominates large portions of the Chiracian empire.
“Prepare to embrace your creators in the stygian haunts of hell, Jacque Chi-croc”, gasped the pissed French quail.
“Only after you have kissed the fleeting stead of death, wretch!” returned Chi-caca.
A sweeping blade of flashing steel riveted from the massive Chi-ladyboy?s hide enameled shield as his rippling right arm thrust forth, sending a steel shod blade to the hilt into President Chi-cnut?s vital organs. The disemboweled mercenary crumpled from his saddle and sank to the clouded sward, sprinkling the parched dust with crimson droplets of escaping life fluid.
The enthused President Chi-coward swilveled about, his shock of fiery red hair tossing robustly in the humid air currents as he faced the attack of the defeated soldier’s fellow in arms.
“Damn you, President Chi-coward” Shrieked the pissed French quail as he observed his comrade in death.

I think he pronouces the French presidents name Chi-Rock, judging by those parody names.

Knox, if I recall, is PCiA — essentially, the Presbyterian version of the schismatics trying to take over the Anglican Communion. Even so, if I ever attended a church where the pastor casually talked about accidental electrocution as “KFC’ing,” I’d question the Christianity of that person. But Giles’ religion is all about him and not one damned bit about Christ, so what do you expect?

See, I didn’t know that BLT’s music was intentionally bad. I just thought it sucked liquid crap through a straw because, you know, he’s a no-talent hack from Canada.

Knox is PCA, which is the more conservative, but I don’t think they’re trying to take over the PCUSA. The OPC is the really wacky set. Giles, however, is in a league of his own. He almost makes me wish I believed in Hell.

Oh, so it’s an anti-Bush site?

Giles is a tool. Especially since there is, potentially at least, a passable “shit pun” to be made on Chirac’s name, since “chier” (pronounced shee-ay) is the French verb for “to shit.” As in, a monumental cock-up in French is referred to as a “chienlit” (shee-on-lee) — that is, a “shit-the-bed.” But then Giles would have to have knowledge beyond that of cataloging the names of fast-food restaurants and have an audience of non-mouthbreathers.

And the chief accomplishment of the Bush administration is?

Are they still on the “big government” thing? They were starting to drop that, what with the Bush adminstration and all; I suppose it’s just code for “taxes,” as I can’t think of much that’s more “big government” than government control of reproduction….

What a choice. Belittle and demean the sandwich-themed troubador or the overcompensating squealing pig.
It’s really tough being part of the liberal plot to oppress America.

Yeah, I think most of us here are able to multitask.
Z-list conservative no-talents, like The Rant, Renew America, and The Poor Man.
*Sigh* The Kitten Wars between SN! and The Editors are never going to end, are they? There may be a lull in the action right now, but all Heck is going to break loose soon, and we innocents who read both sites will again be the collateral damage.

Hey, what can I say? Rock ‘n roll was never meant to look or sound pretty. Consider me a modern-day a musical and ideological deconstructionist. Now don’t get me wrong, I say with with the utmost sense of humility: I am to liberal groupthink what the Sex Pistols were to disco in the late 70s.

A corperation built, nearly talentless unit whose existance is solely the result of one generation’s percieved desire for crappily played, but suitably “angry”, songs?
Give yourself a little more credit, Doc. We’re much more like hair metal, so why not shoot for Nirvana? (not that I like them either, but still…).
