My life experience tells me that assholes like Tiger earn their money not because they’re superior, or harder working, but because their “careers are so spirit snuffing and de-humanizing that they have to pay that much to get assholes to do them.
Don’t tell me what hard work is jerkoff. There is a difference between hard work and opportunism. A good teacher puts more work in his/hers career than you could comprehend.

See, I’m one of those useless, lame small business owner architects who doesn’t contribute jobs or money or anything to the economy.

Hey, so was my dad! He worked hard his whole life building up a respected, successful firm. Employed numerous professionals, treated them fairly, did good work on time and under budget. Did pretty well most years, though not $250K well (in adjusted dollars). Put three kids through college. Pillar of our community, loved by everyone who knew him. The church was packed for his funeral.

He was, in TigerHawk’s words, a loser.

I actually sucked it up and watched the whole video, which is how I came away with the sense that Tigerhawk wasn’t a complete dick. But most of his commenters sure are, no question about it.
