Mirengoff treats this like some big revelation, something uncovered only by Gellman’s crack research. Rice spoke jointly with British Foreign Secretary David Miliband. John McCain did one of these last year, as did Barack Obama. All part of the @Google Series.

You have to understand something. The folks at Powerline were, like, on retainer from Dick Cheney to oppose Rice for opposing war with the Iranians.
There’s this huge segment of my party which maintains that a Republican Administration must adopt the Settlements Now, Settlements Forever Plank in the Likud Platform. The Cheneyist/Stephen B. Hayes/Caroline Glick take on Rice is that she has been taken over by the Pantywaists who’ve been running the State Department into the ground ever since Joe McCarthy tried to warn us about Them. They say she Hates the Jews and wants to hand Israel over to Bin Laden and the Iranians.
I’m serious. I’m a Republican. I know how these people think. Google any Caroline Glick column from the Jerusalem Post and you’ll read how her columns sort of get grafted into Republican thinking on the Middle East. Believe me, it’s been tough, but Rice is one of the reasons we haven’t attacked Iran by now.
Powerline was one of the better conservative blogs, but their reflexive neoconservative ranting has turned their combined work into a parody of the worst of the warblogging years of the Weekly Standard.
