Hey, where’s Da Troof?
Months before the election, a particularly insufferable right-wing troll who called himself The Truth told me that he couldn’t wait until America elected McCain president so he could hang out in the comments and gloat. Mysteriously, I haven’t seen him for a while. Anyone know where he is?
UPDATE: Hey Troofie, c’mon out. How bad can it be?
Republican Governors Meet, Glumly
The Republican Governors Association, meeting at a sleek hotel on Biscayne Bay to survey the damage, itself is a thinned version of what it was in the heyday of GOP dominance of national politics. There will be 21 GOP governors come January, a loss of one, and only 16 of them made the trip.
They are convinced that their counterparts in Washington are incapable of finding a formula for resurgence and that the answer lies in the states.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty — passed over by Sen. John McCain for the No. 2 spot on the presidential ticket and one of nine GOP governors who preside over states won by Barack Obama — offered a summary of his party’s predicament at the governors’ opening lunch.
“We cannot be a majority governing party when we essentially cannot compete in the Northeast, we are losing our ability to compete in Great Lakes states, we cannot compete on the West Coast, we are increasingly in danger of competing in the mid-Atlantic states, and the Democrats are now winning some of the Western states,” Pawlenty said. “That is not a formula for being a majority governing party in this nation.”
As if that weren’t enough, he ticked off a few more challenges.
“Similarly we cannot compete, and prevail, as a majority governing party if we have a significant deficit, as we do, with women, where we have a large deficit with Hispanics, where we have a large deficit with African American voters, where we have a large deficit with people of modest incomes and modest financial circumstances. Those are not factors that make up a formula for success going forward.”
One of the more baffling aspects of the 2008 campaign was why John McCain thought he needed to appeal to the GOP base. The GOP base are simply notorious assholes who alienate the party from blacks, Latinos and everyone living on either of the coasts. Hell, they’ve even started going after the white middle-class families whom they once claimed to champion.
This is not to say that conservatism is dead or that the Republicans will never come back. But there is a particular brand of conservative — i.e., the immigrant-bashing, torture-loving, family-stalking brand — that probably doesn’t have much of a future in American politics.
In other words, the GOP should find a new base and stick the Malkinites back into the John Birch Society hole where they belong.

I can’t read too many of the comments, because they make my head hurt, but from what I gather, they have rock solid evidence that Obama’s Kenyan-born, that his real name Barry Sotrero, that Michelle hates whitey, and they have also debunked the debunking of his birth certificate. In their heads.

After thirty years of hearing about how thesouththesouththesouth was the fulcrum of American politics and how the Democrats were dooooomed if they didn’t find a way to appeal to Jethro Q. Nascar, reading that was like waking up in Bizarro World.
I’m having a hard time imagining how a party that’s been stripped to its Southern base (along with a handful of desolate, militia-ridden Plains and Western states) is going to be able to retool itself to win in the Northeast and along the coasts. I haven’t quite bought into the notion that the GOP is looking at a long stint in the wilderness. I remember how just a few years ago it was the Dems looking bleakly at a Permanent Republican Majority, and the last couple of Republican defeats – Clinton’s election in 1992 and the failure of impeachment in 1998 – were followed by quick recoveries (Gingrich in 1994, Dubya in 2000). Bush’s policies have prevented further terrorist attacks, and asking why you don’t give him credit for that
Hey, Pravda -
you still haven’t commented yourself on the anthrax mailings or all the times Bush has taken some two-bit terror-wanna-be plot (Fort Dix, the Space Needle, the “liquid bomb” thing) and blown it up into some great massive success, while everyone quietly admits a few weeks later that there was nothing to it in the first place. As well as all the times Ridge’s Terror Rainbow was raised to “orange” back in 2003-2004, motivated more by political concerns than by real threats. Or how Bush failed to keep the citizens of New Orleans safe, except that wasn’t a terrorist thing so I guess it doesn’t count. Or encouraging Iraqis to attack American troops.
Or, you know, ignoring the goddamn August 6th PDB in the first place. But hey – he’s kept us “safe” since then, apart from the disintegrating bridges and toxin-soaked toys and E. Coli-infected meat and all that. So I guess, yeah, he should get a mulligan on 3000 dead.
Not.

Our leaders have been (rather timidly in the past, but more aggressively now) trying to show everyone, everywhere that our ideas are simply better. But Republicans are still trying to break down the population into marketing demographics, and will probably have discussions over the next few years that boil down to “How can we persuade female Hispanics in the midwest to buy our shitty, shitty products?”

It is not going to happen, liberals. Your echo chamber is reverberating now with your shouts of victory before you’ve won a single state. I almost feel badly for you, because when McCain wins, your astonishment will be overwhelming. I say “almost” because your ideology is nasty, anti-free speech, and absolutist, and every decent person will sigh in relief when it goes down to defeat once more.
Here is how it will go down next week. First, the results from Virginia and North Carolina will come in, and they’ll be declared for McCain. You’ll be disappointed, but “no big deal, change can’t come overnight” will be your comment. Florida will go red, and a little nervousness will creep in. The usual suspects will fall into the usual categories. As the night drags on, Ohio, Colorado, and (much to your horror) Pennsylvania will be too close to call.
My advice at this point to you will be to go to bed. You will wake up to a McCain presidency and the Great Liberal Freakout will be on.
Bookmark this, liberals, as this is exactly how it is going to go down. You will be wonder how the hell I was able to call this.

If a group of black students who socially dominated a local Alabama high school – and whose parents and grandparents had done the same, forming an unbreakable good-ol-boy network through which these teenagers essentially made their childish whims law – taunted and excluded a smaller group of black students until the egregiousness of the situation forced the school to take the least action possible, and the black students proceeded to hang nooses around in order to remind the white students and their parents of how, had it been twenty years earlier, the overpowering domination of black society would have translated not into bureaucratic difficulty but Lynch’s Law?
And if those white students, pushed by this course of events far beyond any reasonable breaking point, wound up getting into a minor physical altercation with the black elite over what amounted to an implied murder threat – and the school and police authorities, in defiance of the state’s zero-tolerance policy and the general direction of civil rights law (intended to reduce the number of situations in which politically and socially abusive local blacks could abuse poorer, less politically entrenched whites, who between centuries of slavery to the black cotton economy and over a century after that of debt-slavery to black-owned truck farms and almost a century of exclusion under Joe Swan laws had extremely little in the way of resources to defend themselves), let the black youths off with an obviously forced warning and had the white youths charged with attempted murder?
I would think extremely little of the blacks in that situation, but for some reason I don’t think that’s what you thought you were asking.

Fucking simple innit? But noooo… those fucking racist niggers are putting the blame on some poor innocent white folk again.

Good going there, dude – now you’ll NEVER get rid of that Trout-smell.
Herr Trout’s output is a mere fraction of what it used to be – & the total Troutlessness of many recent threads is testimony to the simple fact that the wee gobshite knows just how epically he pwned himself, loudly & often, leading up to November’s curbstomping of the GOP (so please remind him of it at every possible opportunity), & all the oblique & arrogant blithering about Obama=Carter, Byrd or the Jena 6 it takes to pave hell won’t wash that nasty taint of “Hardcore Fail #5″ off him – easily supported point #1.
People in Manhattan likely aren’t nearly as impressed as he is by Bush’s terrorism-smashin’ batting-average since 2001, due to a whole bunch of them getting a terminal case of Bush Derangement Syndrome, the kind where Bush was too fucking deranged not to keep taking vacations while his country was being threatened with a major terrorist attack, thus being Bin Laden’s BFF yet again, such that a lot of them wound up becoming worm-food (& let’s not forget that bogus “All Clear” from Bush’s crony-packed EPA, who damn well knew better but chose to be good little soldiers for Great Leader, sending New Yorkers back to their dusty offices when Manhattan’s air was a deadly carcinogenic stew, leading to who knows how many additional needless deaths down the road) – easily supported point #2.
I’d like to see Herr Trout say that he was wrong about the election, & promise not to come back here until he’s got something relevant &/or entertaining to say – but the requisite cojones &/or fleeting contact with fundamental reality seem sadly lacking in this one.
Might I cordially suggest that Herr Trout find another sandbox to drop his steaming Logs O’ Wisdom in – one not yet contaminated by his own lousy – & easily proveable – record of consistently Doing It Wrong? Otherwise he risks the sad fate of Sir Gary Of Ruppertia: slowly beaten down by yet more Epic Fail from his own stubby pinkies until finally he winds up quietly slithering away in shame, replaced by parody-clones, with almost no-one noticing the difference – or giving a shit.

Not so long ago I still considered myself a Catholic, even though I hadn’t been to mass in 20 years and was an agnostic on the cusp of being the self-identified atheist I am today. Anyway, that’s a very hateful thing to say about robots, and I feel very sorry for you.

It’s more the question of charging minors who committed assault and battery (misdemeanors) as adults for attempted murder. Plus associated legal bullshittery, eg “sneakers are deadly weapons”.

On the other hand, beating up a racist white teenager who was actively involved in punishing you and your friends for sitting in the wrong part of the school with a death threat? Whoa there! Don’t get all activist on us!
Long story short – and yes, Troof, I’m ignoring your inane pabulum, because each and every one of your charges was addressed by parties with a direct standing in this case in 2006-7 and I’ve got better things to to do than try and convince some suburban chiffarobe-monitor that black people are not, in fact, to blame for the Holocaust – racism is only real when it’s reverse racism, the Emancipation Proclamation forced liberty on a people unsuited for it, and naming a day and a street after Martin Luther King is unfair unless you also do it for David Duke, who struggled similarly for the constitutional rights and spiritual freedom of a long-oppressed, nationally underrepresented minority.
And there’s nothing wrong with threatening black kids with nooses. In fact, if you don’t try and menace any black child who spends too long near your property with lynching, what kind of American are you?

Hate to disappoint you, but unlike you I actually have a job and expected to, you know, work. As to the Jena 6, I frankly do not give a rat’s ass and have no idea what your whole freaking obsession is about. A bunch of white thugs engaged in an act of racial intimidation fostering an environment resulting in a bunch of black kids beating up a white kid. the latter was not (contrary to your position) seriously injured and was released from the hospital the same day. The blatantly racist DA filed trumped up attempted murder charges which were later struck down by the appellate court. Whoopee! Does this in anyway compare to 4 centuries of systematic brutality, beatings, rape, mutilation, and killings inflicted on blacks by whites? Does this somehow balance out the thousands of blacks, beaten, mutilated, raped, and lynched by whites since the end of slavery where no one was ever punished? Is this the same as cases where those who murdered innocent people during the civil rights struggle still cannot be convicted by white juries in the south? Your sense of proportion is truly amazing. Now kindly go fuck yourself with your burning cross as I have better things to do than debate demented idiot racists.

No it doesn’t. It shows their propensity to act in a manner not consistent with teh law in a specific instance. In teh law, this is known as a prior bad act. Description of such is generally not admissible in criminal proceedings unless such shows one’s tendency to engage in activity calculated to deceive the court. Why? Because the prejudice is likely to outweigh the probative value of the testimony. In other words, the law understands that certain bigoted assholes might tend to engage in the same pig-ignorant arguemnts as you are.

This means that they are all evil hooligans who deserve to rot in prison forever and the white kid they beat up is a heroic race martyr. And because we can only prove that Barker was taunting them with racist slurs and not that he personally hung the nooses that started the whole incident, that means that we have “failed” to achieve the straw man goal you have set up for us of proving that Barker “deserved” his assault. If we’re going to start digging around in the past (which Jena is, chum), why don’t we get into all of the “strange fruit” that was hanging in southern trees in years gone by?

Jeez, I tell ya. The arguements you liberals make in support of your politically correct discrimination of white people, is pathetic.
Just so I understand, because of slavery, which is been illegal in this country for a century and a half, black people have a right to do or say anything they want to whites, but when white people do the same its racist?
The Truth is right on the mark on this one. Hanging a noose in a tree, does not give blacks the right to beat up white people, even the whites who put the noose in the tree. This should have been strictly a school matter, the white kids who hung the noose should have at the most got a one week suspension.
The black kids on the other hand did something far worse than hang an ancient symbol on a tree. They beat a white student half to death, for no reason. He wasn’t one of the students who hung the noose. The five blacks who did this should be serving life in prison for attempted murder. Attempted murder is something far more serious than exercising free speech (which is exactly what hanging a noose is btw.), no matter how distasteful the speech was.

And how badly have you misunderstood the art of trolling when you are discrediting your own persona, and using fishing analogy used to bait yourself in the past on others, in a thread written by those others baiting you to come out and play in the first place?
“And what did you do last night The Truth?”
“Well, every 20 minutes or so, I responded in a Pavlovian fashion to a thread on the internet asking me personally to make a fool of myself, so hundreds of people around the world could laugh at me. Then I promised to keep doing it for at least another 4 years, on top of the years I’ve already spent humiliating myself. And then I felt good about myself for having done so!”
“You realize there’s now no chance in hell you’ll ever be able to act upon your reductionist ideals of ‘getting inside of me’ now, yes?”

“Technically, in a standard mirror, it’s both refraction and reflection. The light refracts through the glass, reflects off the silvered back plane, and refracts back through the glass.”
This is incorrect, because the plano (i.e. no refractive power) surface of the clear glass does not bend the incoming light before it is reflected, otherwise the mirror would magnify, minify, or distort astigmatically.
What happens at the surface of the clear, plano glass of a mirror (or window, etc.) is transmission, not refraction.

Liberals, regardless of how y’all what to spin it, there was no justification for the Jena 6 beatings. (six blacks btw, not five as I originally stated above) Past discrimination is no justification for violence.
I know in your PC skulls full of mush, that if the situation were reversed, and six white thugs beat a black student half to death, that y’all would be singing a different tune. You would be demanding for the immediate prosecution and incarceration of the white students. Don’t deny it, I know you liberals all too well.
I’m not racist, but it is true that violence is more prevelant in black communities than in white communities. The biggest reason for this being, in my opinion, the lack of fathers in the home. With over 70% of black children born out of wedlock, you’re bound to have a crime problem. The root cause of this problem is the break down of the tradtional family in the black community. This is the problem, I know the leftwing “civil rights” activists will never admit it, but its true.

What the black community really needs, are more fathers in the home. If young black males, have a positive male role-model in their lives, instead of those piece of trash gangsta rappers, then they will grow up to be, strong, confident, moral, hardworking citizens.
The black community needs strong men of character to lead the individual black families. To ensure that his children go to church every sunday, that they stay away from drugs and gangs, that they learn to be Godly, moral, patriotic young men and women. They should be there to bond with their sons, take them fishing and to a football game, rather then let them wander the streets, which will result in them getting into trouble. Then you will see the black community turn around, and do what is right.
The same goes for the white community as well. I’m not racist, I’m stating to you how, I believe the black community can become more prosperous.

In case you were wondering, yes, there has been a seabird-related war. The War of the Pacific (1879-1883) between Chile and Peru and Bolivia is sometimes called the War of Guano and Saltpeter. And a few years earlier, between 1864 and 1866, Peru and Spain fought directly over dung, after Spain took from Peru the poop-rich Chincha Islands. That war is named for the islands.

Hey (Pedantic) Asshole, you’re the one that’s wrong. Any ray that does not go normal to the plane of the glass on a back-silvered mirror will refract. That’s everything you see in the mirror that isn’t directly perpendicular with your pupils. [Hint: You're going from air to glass and back again, Snell's law rulez, bitchez.]
And minify…wtf is that coming from a pedantic asshole? Sloppy.

During the spring and summer of 2001, President Bush had on several occasions asked his briefers whether any of the threats pointed to the United States. Reflecting on these questions, the CIA decided to write a briefing article summarizing its understanding of this danger. Two CIA analysts involved in preparing this briefing article believed it represented an opportunity to communicate their view that the threat of a Bin Ladin attack in the United States remained both current and serious. The result was an article in the August 6 Presidential Daily Brief titled “Bin Ladin Determined to Strike in US.” It was the 36th PDB item briefed so far that year that related to Bin Ladin or al Qaeda, and the first devoted to the possibility of an attack in the United States.
…We have found no indication of any further discussion before September 11 among the President and his top advisers of the possibility of a threat of an al Qaeda attack in the United States. DCI Tenet visited President Bush in Crawford, Texas, on August 17 and participated in PDB briefings of the President between August 31 (after the President had returned to Washington) and September 10. But Tenet does not recall any discussions with the President of the domestic threat during this period.

Barack Obama and his socialist ilk will screw things up almost immediately upon assuming power. Prepare yourselves for the upcoming 2010 Republican landslide in both houses of Congress.
As I mentioned on a previous thread, Newt Gingrich will likely be the Chairman of the RNC, he’ll weed out the Rinos like Mel Martinez and Ken Mehlmen from postions of power, and enforce a true conservative platform within the Republican Party, with no compromises, as the Rinos will all be purged.
Think a Republican party platform advocating: secure borders and enforcement of ALL immigration laws, energy independence, strict constructionist judges, a balanced budget, a fair tax, deregulation of the private sector, free market solutions for health care, and social security reform.
With Newt Gingrich at the helm, he will ensure that no compromises of conservative principles will take place, therefore ensuring public satisfaction with conservatism, and by default, the Republican party as well.

Ayn Rand’s Armored Catfish Squares
Ingredients:
6 jars iron armored catfish
1 tablespoon condensed milk
1 cup yak cheese
3 jars disappointed bear whisker
1 cup basil
4 gallons baking powder
Begin praying. Separate armored catfish liver from carapace. Mock carapace. Use a food processor to mash the yak cheese with the condensed milk. Drizzle resulting mixture over the armored catfish. Find some double cream and drink it. Grate the bear whisker, basil, and the baking powder contrastingly. Spread the latter combination on to the former. Bake for 124 hours. Alex Higgins said,

The Truth,
here you go:
Ah, my liberal droogs, you squirm and hand wave, but you can’t address these simple statements:
We cannot address these statements? Are you sure?
(1)I hope Obama keeps the pressure on al Qaeda – I’ve stated here I’d give him credit if he does. Why does that worry or bother you liberals so much? It is a very interesting trend and worth further exploration how liberals are lowering homeland security expectations for Obama.
I don’t think liberals – not claiming to speak for all of them and you should not be so pretentious as to address all of them in one post – are bothered by your claim of high expectations for Obama.
On the contrary, it has been noted and your words will be returned you to you as soon as you break your pledge to give him credit.
(2) If you have any integrity, just imagine your response if six white skinheads beat up a black kid because of some slight.
I would be disgusted obviously, and equally so if the situation was reversed. The guy in this case should not have been assaulted even if it was true that he was engaged in acts of racist intimidation. However, because liberals are not usually wilfully ignorant of social context and the connection between cause and effect we would not seek to construct an anti-civil rights argument on the basis of such an incident and would pay attention to the other claims being made about what happened in Jena.
And there you have it. Straight answers to what you claim are your unanswered and unanswerable points.
Now I think there is a lot of snark in your inbox you may wish to respond to if you have any integrity or personal honesty.
In addition you have been asked in Brad’s post addressed to you to acknowledge your claims about the US election and explain yourself. You have avoided the subject entirely for a staggering period of time.
Everybody can see you are avoiding this. Everybody. And you know we can see your evasion.
You have no excuses left.
If the next words out of your mouth are about Jena or al Qaeda your fail will be so huge that it will be recorded forever in the Book of Fail.

If anybody would have tried to argue with them they would just have kept on spewing bullshit . Turns out that the media were right all along . Similarly rightwing blogs gave all four debates to McCain/Palin but polls suggest exactly the opposite . You said that polls were wrong and Obama’s lead was just a result of media bias . Our troll here has not so much entered a quagmire as he is caught in the eternal recurrence.
Consider his existential dilemma.
He made a vain boast about a distinct historical event in the future. He was wrong, and his error was both a logical culmination of arrogance but more than – a worldview so massively in conflict with reality that it could only produce false conclusions.
Since reality now contests such a boast so fiercely – and he must surely remember – his opponents confront him with it and he has to face the prospect that he was wrong not only on this point but in his general outlook.
With insufficient strength to contemplate such a disaster, such a horror, he instead retreats to vainly accusing his opponents of indifference to racial assault in a particular case.
Since this accusation is also false, his opponents do not deign to respond to it driectly. He thus finds his opportunity – to carry on the accusation, while they in turn will return to the original point.
Meanwhile, the troll is momentarily encouraged by fighting an imaginary demon – a Dr. Dick – and this victory – or perceived victory – creates the illusion that he has achieved something by continuing to return to his diversion and false premise.
Thus he remains, recirculating the same argument over and over and over again and again, imagining he has achieved a victory and protecting himself from acknowledging that he has ever said anything wrong.
If the Devil himself were to be trapped in such a cycle would you not weep tears for him? Would you not cry out in horror and pull your hair at the thought of such a fate and condemn those who spur him on as wicked?

I think what The Truth doesn’t see or is continually eliding is that there are two different parts to the reaction to the Jena 6 situation: yes, it is bad that six black teenagers assaulted a white teenager for race-bias reasons, but simultaneously it is bad that law enforcement threw the book at them and attempted to make examples of them by doing things like charging them as adults, charging them with attempted murder and ruling that sneakers are deadly weapons, especially considering the conditions that brought about the assault. Those seven teenagers didn’t exist in a vacuum.

The sad incident that bellatrys refers to above is a perfect example of liberal hypocrisy.
Riiiiiiiiiiight, because New Yorkers let the Central Park Jogger case just go by quietly.
Shut up, dickhead. Go get some learnin’…

Actor212, I think you better talk to NC. He seems to think that the victim of the Jena 6 thugs was an actual victim for “race-bias reasons”, and not as you say someone who brought it on himself. I’ll let you liberals sort that out amongst yourselves – nah, I think I’ll just let you pwn yourself some more.

not as you say someone who brought it on himself.
I said no such thing, Troofie.
I asked YOU to provide proof that he was innocent of any racial bias. Now, I don’t know about you, but it seems to me that standard is slightly different than “taking a stand”.
I’m still waiting.

Come on, Troofie! This entire thread was devoted and designed to be all about you.
You’re the one on trial here. It’s been fun watching you wriggle, squirm and spew, but put up or shut up.
And I’m sure we’d all prefer the latter.

Would parrots do? Worcester’s throated Everett’s.

“Nietzche, what nonsense. I was on here on election night talking about what Obama’s victory meant. My goal here is to point out your hypocrisy, which is fun and easy, and I discussed the unfortunate reality of Carter’s second term last week.”
Eternal Recurrence!
One can suppose that some right-wing blog with a thread about OJ Simpson also has a liberal troll who has turns up to discuss the hypocrisy of Republicans creating a deficit after preaching fiscal responsibility. That would be as preposetrous as your declared goal.

If the Devil himself were to be trapped in such a cycle would you not weep tears for him? Would you not cry out in horror and pull your hair at the thought of such a fate and condemn those who spur him on as wicked?
You might applaud them for containing the Devil in one place where an eye can be kept on him.

Ooh, ooh! Gilbert Gottfried as Lonny Martello.
Whom I wish would make an appearance here.
Either that or a new thread (please!)

BTW, as if you didn’t already know, Glenn Back is still a tool.
Bloggers pushing their books is one thing – when you do it every five minutes on your three-hour nationwide show? Nothing but pitiful.

Yeah, I think I’d rather talk to someone who discusses things in good faith. Thanks for the tip!

Me and Rugged are gonna go have pure white babies together. Unless when that black man touched me once when he was giving me change, he made me black, which will make me have BLACK babies, which will make me and my sheet-wearing lover have to abandon them because no black babies have fathers.

This is just the sort of immaturity I expect from the “Heckuva Job” Left…. wait, did I really try and attribute that comment to the Left? “Heckuva Job”? How stupid and mindless in your attempts to simply lash out at people you hate to not know or care about the fact that it was in fact, George W. Bush who said that, about one of his own appointees? Surely I’m not that retarded?
Except… sadly, yes! I am. Sorry folks.

YOu’re toast, son. I kicked your ass up and down this blog, and you STILL haven’t proven how that felon of a “victim”, Justin Barker, was innocent of racism.
It is YOU who is the embarrassment. I’m just going to stick your nose in it and make you smell it, dog.

Yeah, I remember Da Troof.
Dumb bastard taunting people with polls and shit like that.
I thought it was someone on here punkin’ everyone.
You mean to tell me that an idiot that idiotic actually exists and that fact isn’t a joke?
Shit, next thing you know Obama will have legitimately won the election and all those millions illegal-immigrant African relatives of his – some of whom ARE supporters of that Islam stuff – never got the chance to pull of the scam. I see they caught his auntie, but did they catch the rest?
Maybe…just maybe white muthafuckas actually voted for this dude Obama.
Oh shit! That’s amazing!
Damn. It must’ve been a lot of ‘em.
Troof, tell me that you are a real poll-purveying dingbat so that I’ll know that some of these nice white muthafuckas actually voted for Obama.
