New Ad For Saks Fifth Avenue

It seems the RNC helped Caribou Barbie support her habit and blow through $150,000 in outfits since September.

Not that it bothers me personally, but there does appear to be a exposed nipple on blackie there. For what that’s worth.

No, most likely that means they’ll “auction” it off on eBay so Rich Lowry can have himself the ultimate smashrag, and give the money to some wingnut welfare right-to-life-until-you’re-actually-born “charity.”

Vice President Palin looked stunning in her Ivory Dior Belted virgin wool Jacket with Matching Pencil Skirt as she Presided over the Senates debate on Aerial Hunting. Her choice of white baby seal Brian Atwood boots accenting her no-nonsnse Polar Bear Fur accented Dolce & Gabbana distressed tote subtly underscored the need for urgent action. The scent of Arctic Tundra and fresh crude by Lancome wafted over the Senators leaving them awestruck and drawing them to her side, she toyed with her John Hardy Silver and Diamond cuff sporting the wolf fang motiff knowing her grace and style had won another round.

I’m looking forward to 4 years of that, man.

Spending my wife’s entire annual income on clothing for the two of us cannot be considered elitest. My heartland honey and I can barely get by on the half million we bring home, and that lunatic Barack wants to raise my taxes by $7000. How am I supposed to afford another flat screen to put in the guest bedroom with Mr. Obama trying to spread the wealth. Damn socialists, always trying to keep things fair. I’ve had it up to here. It took eight long years to get everything right, so that the middle class and the poor shoulder the tax burden and Warren Buffet lets on to Barack Obama that he pays less in taxes than his secretary. Geez, when will people learn to keep their mouths shut.

No, they don’t because most average, every-day hockey moms are not governors and Vice-Presidential candidates who have their wardrobe tab picked up by the RNC.
There’s no “scandal” here. I’m sure the DNC does similar things for their candidates.

Of course, if Palin “dressed down” you guys would call her “frumpy”. It’s a no-win situation (as far as your opinions of her) so why not dress to the nines?

  45. Dragon-King Wangchuck said,

    Umm, goob –

It ain’t us that decided that this whole election was going to be about “character”. Global financial meltdown? More charges dropped at Gitmo? Skyrocketing deficits? Yeah, but for $150 grand? Are you friggin’ serious? And you guys are the ones who’re running on the whole “just a simple hockey mom from Small Town America”, so don’t you feel slightly yanked around by the Powers That Be wasting your party’s money on new shoes and a cute black dress? Or are you saying because Palin’s Up There, she deserves to “dress to the nines” on someone else’s donated dime?

That just fucking blows my mind, and were I a member of the Republican Party and dedicated to the idea that Conservatism was the best thing for all American people, I’d be pissed. ‘Course, those people gave up on McCain-Palin back in September, and it’s only the bootlickers and racists and homophobes and war pigs who’ll defend the Moose Princess’s Constitutional Right To New Duds. I mean, come on. At what point do you say “No more” or is it a case of GOP Uber Alles?

$30,000 per family member for clothing isn’t too much is it? A good suit costs around $3000, a decent pair of shoes about $800, a nice watch about $2500, a quality shirt $120, leather belt $80, designer underwear $40, sox $25. cologne $130, deodorant $25, powder $30 = $6750 for one days worth of clothing. $30,000 barely covers the cost of four days clothing. What do people expect the family to do, walk around in their underwear three days per week? Sheesh.

There’s a nice thread building over on HuffPo about how McCain & Palin are starting to get openly hostile & disdainful of each other. They have the “chemistry” that we in Hollywood associate with other disastrous pairings, such as “Gigli.”

Apparently, it’s starting to dawn on McCain that this doofy bimbo to his right is costing him his last shot at the presidency. She was shoved down his throat by Rush Limbaugh and the rest of the hyper-Christian mouth-breathers who have hijacked the party.

McCain is a mean fucker, through and through. And when all this is over, and he’s faced with the fact that Rush and those shitsmears cost him the presidency by demanding some kind of dimwit moose-shooter to appeal to their “Bubba” base, he’s gonna settle in for some cruel, ice-blooded payback. That whole “Fairness Doctrine” thing that Reagan jettisoned back in the 80s? Hmmmm. Might find some movement across the aisle on that thing, if the Democrats reintroduce it in the spring.

There will be howls of outrage, and lots of tense phone calls trying to work the surviving Senators and Reps to vote against this. Culminating in Mac smiling that Count Chocula smile of his as he grits out, “Fuck me, Rush? No. Fuck YOU.”
