So all of a sudden the conservatives have discovered a fondness for Martin Luther King. That’s interesting. Considering the path he was on in 1968 — supporting striking garbagemen, lending his voice to the antiwar movement — I somehow don’t think they’d be using him as an example of a Good Black if he hadn’t been assassinated.
