Must … Resist … Urge … To .. Post

Posted at 6:36 by D. Aristophanes

Screw it, I just can’t.

Amy Alkon now:

What’s Worse Than Having Everybody In Your High School Talking About You?

Having a good part of the western world doing it, like some on the left are to Palin’s poor teenage daughter. …

Leave the kid alone.

Amy Alkon then:

The way I see it, there should be plenty of shaming for any woman whose desire to have a cute little thing in her life supercedes the best interest of a child.

And:

You are what you do.

Tarika Wilson was a bad mother.

And:

And I know, all many people require in parents is a working sperm shooter and working ovaries, but to me, that’s not parenting, it’s a recipe for fucking out little tragedies with legs.

And:

If this woman cared about children, she would’ve had them in the best environment possible for the children to have successful, healthy, happy lives: Waiting until she was a mature adult with a career and a husband to move to a safe neighborhood and have one or two children, which she would raise with great care, teaching them morality, and taking them to the dentist, and seeing that they weren’t in harm’s way, around drug dealers.

And finally:

I happen to be a libertarian. I call myself a personal responsibilitarian. Personal and community responsibility are what I’m calling for here. Yeah, how terrible, how cruel, how disgusting of me.

A note to my regular commenters: Should I ever go soft in this department, please kick me back to terrible, cruel, etc.

Amy’s regular commenters have their orders, at any rate.

I remember your posts from a few weeks ago, when you made her into a transsexual and posted her head into a screen shot from The Wizard of Oz. Aside from the fact that she looks like one of my high school English teachers and a girl I used to work with, both of whom look like Cate Blanchett, I didn’t really know anything about her. After reading this post, I read her Wikipedia page. Did you ever hear of her “anti-SUV campaign”? As the entry states:

she describes her anti-SUV campaign, which consists of placing small cards on the windshields of SUVs. The cards (which are her own composition) refer to the driver as a “Road-Hogging, Gas-Guzzling, Air-Fouling Vulgarian” and pointedly suggest that the driver is compensating for “an extremely small penis” by driving “such a monstrosity.”

Really? What sort of person does this? Even if you don’t like a particular lifestyle choice or habit of others, what gives you the right to conduct a large-scale harassment campaign against these people? Is this really the work of a person who is “saner” than most professionally-trained psychologists, as the entry quotes someone suggesting?

Don’t forget, she has nothing against Mommy Dearest’s litter either. It’s okay to have a litter, including a challenged child, and a career, because Mrs. Mooseburger is married. As long as you’re married and preferably rich, irresponsible reproduction and shunting the kids aside in favor of your ambition are a-ok. If mommy had even one kid without being legally wed, even if she had money, it would not be okay in Amy’s eyes, because that kid needs a daddy (cue violins). this is why she’s popular with Glenn Sacks o’ Shite. Remember that she also despises “career women” who answer the call of their biological imperatives and have a child without a husband. The girl’s getting married; therefore, all is right as rain.

See? Amy’s not a racist! Well, she’s not simply a racist anyway. She’s something altogether her own which for want of a better title I like to call A Mean Person. Her philosophy, near as I can tell: As long as you’re rich and married, you get to reproduce, if you should be so foolish as to choose to do so. Everyone else? No brats for you!

    I detest this woman.

Right when I hit submit, I wondered if I was right about her being okay with Sarah’s litter, because I know she hates the idea of Palin as McCain’s V.P. choice and it lost Grampy the Alkon vote, so maybe the litter was part of her objection. It’s too late and I’m too tired to go over there and read her spewings tonight. I’m simply going on what I’d read of her previous spewings.

So if I’m wrong about her attitude to Sarah’s brood, it’s because of lack of research on my part. Mea culpa, etc. I’m off to bed.

If only there were a political tactic of “guilt-by-pastor”, that would allow people to question Palin whether she shares her pastor’s beliefs about Joel’s Army (seizing government, cleansing the world of evil and rebellion, etc.).

“intellectually promiscuous” – doesn’t that just mean she’s a big fucking tease? I wonder if Dr. Albert Ellis ever had to play “The Crying Game.”

Fun fact: Huckabee was a major figure in the mainstream neo-pente movement and brought in a large number of people from it to run shit in Arkansas. These days they’re more or less in charge of many areas of public life there, including the schools.

This is what happens when you’re the governor of somewhere off of the public radar like Arkansas or Alaska: you swing as far right as you possibly can, heedless the consequences – especially in Palin’s case, because they don’t exist. Spend public money defending Ted ‘Bridge To Nowhere’ Stevens? No problem: your glibertarian supporters only care about wasting money on redskins. Take up with secessionists, neopentecostal radicals, and other avowed enemies of the Constitution and the Union? Why not: it’s not like the federal government doesn’t give Alaska a piddling $1.82 for every dollar it gets back in taxes, right? (In case you’re wondering, the worst blue state, Maine, receives $1.31.)

Palin lives in the tiniest, most insular right-wing echo chamber possible, even worse than Huckabee and even worse than Paul. She’s literally never faced any kind of political difficulty in her life; her career would be meaninglessly different if America had never had state or local elections at all, because she’s identical to the ideal profile for a right-wing appointed mayor or governor. She’s a model fascist, and besides the Kampus Klan propaganda and her ovaries, all that distinguishes her as a person is not just drinking the Republican kool-aid but living on it – she’s literally never drank anything else, never had an independent thought in her life. When she stands before her Maker she expects Him to pat her on the head, call her a good girl, and get her a pony. That she is still like this as a grown adult is as damning an indictment of America as any I’ve ever seen.

And it’s the only kind of America McCain is comfortable with. It’s a match made in Hell.

PS: mea culpa; the worst blue state in the aforementioned chart is Hawaii (although Illinois takes in an impressively low $.77). Alaska and Arizona are both in the red, although a few states – Mississippi, say – are actually worse. This is nonetheless a fine chart to show ‘fiscal responsibility’ wankers – the federal government picks up their fucking tab, and fiscal responsibility would entail leaving their stupid asses on the curb.

Following the Whiskey Fire link brought up Wolcott, who pretty much nails it with this one — and, again, I do not care in the slightest about nor do I approve nor disapprove of the situation the Palin kid finds herself in, and good luck to her:

Jake Tapper asks: “What would the response be if Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, and his wife Michelle had a pregnant unmarried teenage daughter?”

I can answer that. Mona Charen, Ann Coulter, and Michelle Malkin would sprout bat wings and fangs and start divebombing, Peggy Noonan would issue a pained sigh that would ruffle nun’s robes from here to Hoboken, Laura Ingraham and Bill Bennett would engage in a finger-wagging contest to condemn our loose licentious liberal culture, and Jennifer Rubin at Commentary’s Contentions would crash into the wall doing cartwheels.

According to Pam Geller at Atlas Shrugs (no link), it’s actually Annie Lebowitz’s fault that Palin’s daughter went astray, something to do with the tarting up of Miley Cyrus in Vanity Fair. Conservatives used to make fun of liberals for blaming everything on “society” (”It’s society’s fault that so many young men turn to crime”), but “the culture” has become their default setting for culpability. Practice what you preach doesn’t seem to have occured to them.

And I wouldn’t care about the ’scandal’ type discussion of Palin’s involvement (or not) in the Alaskan Independence Party, just about the group’s actual horrible idiocies, ideologies, goals and philosophies, if Barack & Michelle Obama hadn’t been subjected to hysteric panic-mongering about everyone they stood too close to for 5 minutes across the sands of time.

Said commenter, who has contributed three front-page stories to Gawker Media sites and over a hundred useful, fact-filled comments to the Consumerist and other Gawker media sites is banned by the moderator “Roz”.

Who says you can’t get a little free speech love in America these days?

and seeing that they weren’t in harm’s way, around drug dealers

Uh Amy, they weren’t in harms way around drug dealers. They were in harms way around cops.

JokerTop is on course to become the neighborhood crazy lady, all dreads down to her ass and pushing around a grocery cart full of used tampon inserters that she found in vacant lots, screaming that she’s going to sue you for the telepathic commie propaganda beams that your cat has been shooting at her. Or maybe she already is, and just cleans up relatively well.

Alkonholic: Dude, it’s still Gawker’s soapbox. Whomever you’re referring to can get their own blog, amirite?

I don’t know if Mr. Wonderful is full of win for the Pirates of Pissant song, or should be slapped repeatedly for getting that damn song stuck in my head.

    I laughed, though.

    **golf clap**

More on topic: Amy is the typical “libertarian” — someone who cares nothing about policy because they lack the mental capacity for it … doesn’t care about helping others because it would interrupt her TIVO viewing … and would follow whatever ideology and/or party that provided her justification (more intellectual — and I use that term loosely — than moral) to be a flaming fucktard.

It may not be true of all libertarians, mind you, but there definitely seems to be a trend …

    Alkon’s a personal responsibilitarian like McArdle’s a vegetarian.

In order to get her attention, a really good place to land the kick would be in her balls.

AA disclaimer: You already said you had balls, so STFU!

Given AA’s self-proclaimed “libertarian” philosophy, add her comment re her desired VP choice with kids “off smoking pot in college”, I find this the perfect time to bring back an oldie-but-goodie:

A libertarian is a Republican who wants to smoke pot.

Thank you. We’ll be here all week. Remember to tip your waitress.

So Bristol doesn’t care about baby…Trisket (porbably a good guess considering she’s her mom’s child)???

Oh Amy. You so crazy with all your hypocrisy and stuff.
