Shorter Marty Peretz

Above: Drunk on tribalism.

Convictionless Kristof

  • Nick Kristof’s inability to take a stand on the topic of animal cruelty logically correlates with his apparent opposition to my premise that Muslims are subhuman creatures.

‘Shorter’ concept created by Daniel Davies and perfected by Elton Beard. We are aware of all Internet traditions.™

The irony is that if one really wanted a single type of animal cruelty to compare this flap to, it would be a poodle fight.

So if Nick Kristof is a ridiculous hypocrite for mentioning the problems of cruelty to animals yet not taking the real step of becoming a vegan, why does Marty Peretz keep writing about the need to take military action against the Palestinians without him taking the real step to go and kill some Palestinians himself?

Bonus Libelous Shorter Marty Peretz: Animal rights is for faggots; also, the sick practice of halal slaughter may shock you.

Oh come on, the columnist with his head cut off schtick is so old these days. Nw here’s a question, do neocons feel pain when their wingnut welfare is cut off?

Heh. Reminds me of the one and only time I ever wrote to Marty Peretz, in response to a snotty column he wrote about John Kerry, wherein he employed the phrase “de haute en bas” (presumably to prove that Kerry was an arrogant elitist). My email consisted of the sole observation that the direct English translation for “de haute en bas” is “the author is so smug he’s in love with the smell of his own farts.”

Even though Peretz claims that he “don’t really judge” Kristof, it’s pretty obvious that there’s something going on here. And there’s only one way to settle this argument.

Marty sez, But how will Israel negotiating with Hamas strengthen the so-called “moderate” camp among the Arabs of Palestine?

How will good faith negotiations with Palestine’s democratically elected government strengthen Arab conviction that Isreal is a nation that will listen to and can be influenced by means of communication other then rocket attacks?

I sure can’t think how that would work. That Kristof sure is crazy.

    Hoka-a-ay.
NOW I really truly get it.
They’re getting paid per logical fallacy, aren’t they?

Don’t real Israelis ever get sick of schmucks like Perez sticking his nose in their business?

“Nw here’s a question, do neocons feel pain when their wingnut welfare is cut off?”

I don’t think that’s ever happened. Even David Brock still gets a modest monthly check.

[W]hy does Marty Peretz keep writing about the need to take military action against the Palestinians without him taking the real step to go and kill some Palestinians himself?

For goodness sakes, don’t encourage the little bugger! Do you know how hard it is to get piddle stains out of the TNR carpeting?

Is that a lineup photo? Don’t get me wrong, it distills his unwarranted smugness perfectly, but it also looks like something you would see while filling out a change of address form at the PO.

If you’re going to be a pretentious pontificating twat, you should probably know the difference between “effect” and “affect,” much less “geese” and “Jews.”

I’d say it’s fair to ask Kristoff why he would partake of foie gras if he’s so disturbed by its production, but it’s even more fair to ask why these gasbags never take on animal welfare issues except as some kind of stupid gotcha game.

The Spine. Jesus. If TNR was a person you’d wanna give it SUCH a PINCH.

Unsurprising update: Kristoff does not admit to eating foie gras. He admits to eating geese. His point is that factory farming is cruel, not that eating animals in inhherently wrong, and his column displays little to no hypocrisy on this point.

Peretz really puts the “insufferable douchebag” in “disingenuous.”
