Here, hopefully, is Robert Newman’s one-man show, ‘History of Oil,’ live at Hoxton Hall Theatre, London:

Robert Newman’s backstory is interesting. He started out as Rob Newman, middlebrow impressionist and the partner of David Baddiel, doing funny and quite radical (if relatively apolitical) stuff on BBC radio. Then TV. They then sold out Wembley arena. And stopped performing together. He more or less dropped out of comedy, wrote novels, struggled to make ends meet. And now he’s performing again. Try to find the documentary ‘Scribbling’ if you can.

Everybody (including the trolls), please watch this. I know 45 minutes is a long time to watch something that doesn’t feature cute cats, but its worth it.

Thanks for this! I’m a big fan of Robert Newman, I was wondering if you could help me. I’m in search of a documentary about Robert Newman called ‘Scribbling’. Here is a link describing it, I can’t find it anywhere.
